Speaker 2:

All right, all right, all right, welcome to the show. This is the frankly fantasy football podcast. We are your hosts, Frankie and Johnny. Welcome in, frankie, let's. Uh, how'd you do in week four, buddy?

Speaker 1:

I'm glad you asked because I dominated outside of one week. I'm in four leagues, john and I went three and one this week, so I'm really pumped. Actually, pretty sure I may have beat somebody close to you this week and I really touch and go Fantasy matchup, john.

Speaker 2:

You did. You played my son. It's the first time my 17-year-old son, jackson, shout out to Jackson. He's been a shout out stud this year. He's got a great team, great draft, great draft. He uh tough battle and of course he wants to beat me and Frankie. That's what he wants to do. He's like I need to beat Frankie this week. He needed something like 40 points. On Monday night he had Kenneth Walker, he had the Giants kicker and he had Daniel Jones and I'm like, dude, let's break it down. You only need this many points from this many guys. It's gonna, you're gonna, it's gonna happen, man, and you're gonna do it. What in the fuck was that game, man?

Speaker 1:

Danny Dimes got destroyed. The Giants are so pathetic.

Speaker 2:

Wow, their offensive line issues are none like I've ever seen before. I mean, you can't even blame Daniel Jones for that game. He just he could not do anything If that left tackle. How many times did you see that guy coming on his blindside? Awful, just ready to kill him? He had no. I'm going, danny, turn around, turn around. I was terrified. It was like watching a horror movie. It was absolutely disgusting. Negative two points oh, we're going to talk about Danny Dimes. Don't you worry, I've got a new nickname for that little sum bitch. Anyway, we'll get to that. Okay, what are you drinking today, frankie?

Speaker 1:

Oh, you know, I'm glad you asked, because today we're going to do a little uh, a little something special. Here we're, I'm actually drinking some Buffalo Trace. Shout out, buffalo Trace. We are looking for new sponsors. So if you guys are looking for a good bourbon, this is it.

Speaker 2:

Buffalo Trace, baby you know we we can't do for Buffalo Trace what Rogan does for Buffalo Trace. But you know we've got hundreds of people that may want to buy Buffalo Trace, not millions like Rogan does.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, give us a little more credit. We're in the thousands now, man. We're in the thousands now. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

You're right. Yeah, you know, that's um thousands of people watching us just talk nonsense about fantasy football. That's a drink in bourbon.

Speaker 1:

What are you drinking over there?

Speaker 2:

I'm drinking a wonderful local IPA from uh three Floyd's brewery in Indiana. It's a little zombie dust. It is one of my favorite IPA. It's solid man, it's solid, it's hoppy, it's good. It makes you feel just real nice and yummy.

Speaker 1:

Yummy, nice calories in that thing.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, it's like drinking a loaf of bread. Baby, I gotta hit the. I gotta hit the gym tomorrow real hard after this one. I know. Welcome to the show everyone. We've got a great show for you guys today.

Speaker 2:

Today is our week four, ice and fire episode. We're going to do a little Thursday night football preview. It's amazing how fast everything goes. You know, we just finished. I just stopped crying from this past week and now I already have to look at next week this week coming up. It's just absolutely crazy. We're also going to get some news right now.

Speaker 2:

All right, let's see how we fared here with some of the injuries that have happened here. First bit of news T Higgins rib fracture left the game. Normal timeline for rib fracture is about four to six weeks, but most players in the NFL they play through a partially healed rib, usually like at mid two to three weeks. They're saying that he may play this week. So just keep an eye on that monitor. I would make plans to be without him, but it is possible he suits up. Doesn't give me a lot of confidence with the way that the Bengals offense has been playing, but T Higgins can absolutely make something happen out of garbage.

Speaker 2:

Javante Williams. This one stressed me out. I had him. He was the start of the week, should had a great game. Strange is hip flexor. It seemed like it was going to be a little bit bigger of an issue and it seems that now it's a strained hip flexor.

Speaker 2:

A little fun facts here. 66% of players return within six days. So this is not going to be a long term injury. 13%, it's one to two weeks. So he may end up playing this week If the Broncos are smart. Listen, I've got Javante Williams. I want him out there, but if they're smart, they should rest him. He's still recovering from the knee injury devastating knee injury from last year. I don't think they need to rush him out there. Even if he does play, I could see it being in a limited capacity. I would really make plans to be without Javante this week. That leads me to star of the week. He's going to the darling of the waiver wire to this week, since it is just garbage out there right now. Big time. Jaleel McLaughlin. Talk to me a little bit about Jaleel McLaughlin. Frankie, is this a smash or a pass for you with this guy this week?

Speaker 1:

It's a pass. It's a pass and it's not because of Jaleel McLaughlin or McLaughlin himself, right. So he played extremely, extremely well, John, to the tune of he had over a hundred all-purpose yards, guys. He rushed for 72 yards on only seven carries. He also caught three passes for 32 yards on a touchdown. He was dominating. The reason why I'm passing on him this week is because of the matchup. Guys, they are going and playing the jets. The jets are pissed off after the dominant performance from a defensive perspective, in my opinion, that they showed against the Chiefs and it was so dominant. Actually, this is the first time in Patrick Mahomes history that the opposing quarterback outdulled him, and it was Zach Wilson. So that is what's so interesting about this is normally John, I would say yeah, pick his ass up. He's a great start for this week, especially with them not utilizing P-Ryne. But due to the matchup, I'm passing. It's not a guy, especially a rookie, that I'm going to rely on. I think Sean Payton has something up his sleeve and could do something else.

Speaker 2:

It's short term. If you want to pick him up, you absolutely can. If you're just destroyed by injuries and byweas this week, sure, sure. But you're right, whatever reason, they're not using P-Ryne. The guy had six rushes, two targets. They're just not utilizing him at all. We thought this was going to be a 50-50 split. That's not how things are shaking out. Can you explain a little bit? You said Zach Wilson overperformed Patrick Mahomes. Is that what I heard you say?

Speaker 1:

That is what you heard me say, and it was fascinating. It was the first time in Patrick Mahomes history really since he's been playing that he was technically outdulled. And so just a little insight as to what Zach Wilson actually did here, guys, zach Wilson ended up putting up. He threw for 39 times, completed 28 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns, in zero interceptions. Guys, he also rushed for 14 yards on two attempts. What is that equate to, in fantasy football points, over 20 points. Okay, very, very good job against a very, very good defense.

Speaker 1:

And then you look at Mahomes right, the staple, the golden child of everything. His wife is out there kicking it with Taylor Swift and they're cheers in and eating their chicken tenders and I don't know if you saw her face when she was eating a chicken tender is hilarious, by the way like totally grossed out sidebar. Getting back to Mahomes here, guys, he ended up only passing the ball 30 times, completed 18 of them for 203 yards. One touchdown, two picks, which equates to 15 fantasy points. So, yes, zach Wilson, the little fucking Mormon kid who's slaying which, by the way, I was gonna say slaying your mom. But one of the most hilarious memes I've ever fucking seen was you see? Do you see the meme of Travis Kelsey looking up at the Jumbo Tron? It's like, oh, I wish you know people, I wish he looked at me like the way he looks at Taylor Swift. And then it's like Zach Wilson. It's like him looking up as well. And it's him looking at Donna Kelsey the same way and I was dying laughing.

Speaker 2:

He was looking at Mama Kelsey, mama Kelsey.

Speaker 1:

There you go. Yeah, really impressive, really impressive, by Zach Wilson.

Speaker 2:

All right, moving along here, devonte Adams left the game ended a coming back. He has a shoulder injury. A shoulder issue Seems like an AC joint sprain, nothing serious at the moment. He's just managing the pain right now, but monitor his practice. This week he could re aggravate that a little bit and you could have something last minute with Devonte Adams. So just keep an eye on that.

Speaker 2:

Kenny Pickett, quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he's absolutely been killing me this year, man. I've got in a super flex league. I've got the picket, pick and stack. They combined for six points this week, man, and it's, it's just killing me. I can't win in that league with this, with this kind of performance. He went down, he left the game. Mitch the bitch Trubisky ended up coming in. Kenny Pickett was a knee injury and at first they were like, oh my God, it's an ACL. Then they were like no, no, no, it seems like maybe an MCL sprain. Now it's a bone bruise and the guy might play this week. So, man, I you know these, these reporting, the reporting in real time on the field. It's just, it's so strange how it ends up shaking out. But yeah, he may play this week. He's probably not going to. He's probably going to miss a week, but keep an eye on Kenny Pickett If you're an idiot like me and have to start him.

Speaker 2:

Another Pittsburgh Stealer that went down here Pat Fryermuth, the really nice tight end. He's got a hamstring injury. This is it's more than a tweak is the quote. He could go on IR. This seems to be a pretty bad hamstring injury, so I would plan at least three weeks if he doesn't go on IR, but I can anticipate him going on IR. Mike Evans ended up did tweak his hamstring. It's not a bad injury. The good news is he's got a buy in week five, so he's got time to to heal up here.

Speaker 2:

All right, let's get to good news. Nothing devastating, that was great. Let's get to good news Cooper cup, cooper cup he is returning from IR this week. Monitor his practice reports. It doesn't mean that he's 100%, you know. Let pay attention to this. We'll try to give you some updates. If we can follow us on social media on you, on Instagram, frankly, fantasy football We'll try to give you some updates of what's going on. Cooper cup is looking. He is going to practice this week, so monitor him. It'll be nice to see him back. Let me ask you real quick, frankie, what does this do with Puka Nakua?

Speaker 1:

I think. I think right now it's it's and I know it sounds crazy, but it's too early to tell the way Puka. If you would have told me after week two what is this going to do with Puka, I would say eight, it's Cooper cup, it's his squad. Now, after seeing what Puka has done for four straight weeks and the way the team after this last win totally was all in about Puka, like it was incredible in that locker room, john, I think they're both must starts. I think they you have to still fire up Puka until he's proven otherwise. The, the, the catches that he's doing, the amount of targets that he's that he's garnering, is just astronomical. I mean, we've never seen anything like it. It's literally NFL history number one Puka Nakua, then Anquan Bolden and then Reggie Bush, I think, and then a few others in terms of receptions through the first four weeks. I mean. So you've got to fire him up, john.

Speaker 2:

He's so similar to Cooper cup, so similar Just body size, just how he plays, how he the routes he runs. He's in a mind meld with Matthew Stafford, just like Cooper cup. I mean they must be having breakfast together. But that breakfast table, starting this week it's going to get a little more, a little bigger, a little busier. Might be some brunch, might be some brunch in there. Yeah, get your mimosas girls. What I do think this does? I think it destroys Tutu Atwell, definitely. Yeah, I don't think Tutu Atwell is going to be a guy that you will be able to flex and play once Cooper cup is back, cause the Cooper cup does play in the slot a lot, so I think that will destroy Tutu. Oh, by the way, did you ever find out the name of the chicken on the raft?

Speaker 1:

Oh, I forgot. I'll have to look at it.

Speaker 2:

I did Frankie, I do podcast research buddy right here. What was it? The chicken's name is hey, hey, hey.

Speaker 1:

Hey, they're so close though. Tutu and hey hey. Hi, how's it going? I'm Tutu with hey hey. Yeah, that makes sense. I like it. Good shit, john, good pull.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you know, hey, man, I just I do the research, that's what I do, guys. Another one JT, jonathan Taylor. You know God, let's get him on the field right, Jonathan Taylor, to practice this week. Watch the reports, because there's still kind of some weird shit going on. Yeah, still talking shit. What's your take on that? Do you feel good that he's going to be on the field this week?

Speaker 1:

I feel good that he's going to be on the field this week. I don't think he's going to play. I think he's on the field this week strictly because he wants to get traded and, if you noticed, the asking price has gone down. It's now a second round pick and so I think, the way that Zach Moss is playing, I think they feel comfortable enough that they can get a good price tag. For Jonathan Taylor, I don't know, man, I'm not buying it. I think that he's out there just to be traded.

Speaker 2:

The fact that the price tag came down means that Jimmer say is being a little more rational. Yeah, he's actually considering. Before he was asking for two first round, he knew he was just like yeah, fuck off, you want him. Well, how much you got you know? Now I think he's like. So, hey guys, remember we talked a couple months ago about a trade.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know, I'm not, I don't feel 100% confident throwing him out there, but I will be pleasantly surprised if I'm a Jonathan Taylor owner and he does end up playing this week. So that could be good news. Saquon Barkley we should be able to get him back this week. It was a high ankle sprain. He should play this coming week but definitely monitor that Depends to see how he doesn't practice this week.

Speaker 2:

All right, we got another guy. This guy is a unicorn, frankie. I want you to kind of break him down just a second. Jameson Williams In my mind he's a unicorn. In my mind he's a unicorn. He's like that. He's that car, that sports car that's in the garage that your dad is too scared to drive because it's just great and dangerous and right. That is what I feel about Jameson Williams. He is eligible to play this week the NFL lowered his suspension when they changed the policy about gambling. So break it down. I mean, do you feel good he should be owned? Should be owned. Yes, in all of our leagues he's already owned. People were kind of waiting on him and sitting on him. What do you do with Jameson Williams moving forward?

Speaker 1:

You stash him this week, you hold, you hold tight because he was away from the team as well. This is not one of those suspensions to where you're with the team and things of that nature. In addition, he even had an injury while he was away and so him coming back, it's going to take him a few weeks maybe only one or two at the most, maybe three to get back into form. So I think it's just a wait and see. But he's absolutely somebody. When he's on the field, he's incredible. He's dynamic, super fast. If you remember him in Alabama, he was insane. He was also a top receiver at Ohio State and ended up transferring to Alabama. So this guy is everything you want in a receiver. It's just you got to wait and see how he fills in in this Detroit Lions offense and I think he's going to probably be on a snap count for at least week one, maybe week two, that he's back.

Speaker 2:

He had a hamstring injury in the preseason and the offseason, so you know not being able to play football, not practicing with the team. He will have a slow start. As soon as I say that he's probably going to come out, he'll go off, he'll play, have a huge touchdown, but man, pairing him up with Sam LaPorta and Amon Ross St Brown I mean, think about the production that Josh Reynolds has had yeah, and some of the Khaleef Raymond. Yeah, you put Jameson Williams in that role of those two guys Could be very, very interesting. Pick him up, stash him, hold on to him and you're going to know when you can play at my problems. Yeah, jeff Wilson running back for the Miami Dolphins, also looking to return from IR this week. This is, it's becoming quite a confusing backfield back here, frankie. Yeah, you've got Raheem Moster. You've got Devon A-Chain, or is it A-Chan?

Speaker 1:

It's A-Chan. Yeah, I didn't know that A-Chan.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I did not know that either. Yeah, a-chan, kind of like 4-Chan, your conspiracy theory far-righting Like 4-Chan, yeah, 4-chan's, yeah, 4-chan.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so what are you doing with this backfield? I mean you have to start A-Chan at this point. Have to Six touchdowns in two weeks? I mean three weeks, whatever it is. That's absurd. You have to start A-Chan. Mostert. Is it going to be back and forth with these guys? Are you not going to know exactly what's going to happen? And does bringing Jeff Wilson into that? Is that just going to confuse it even more?

Speaker 1:

Jeff Wilson, to me, is irrelevant. He's irrelevant at this point in time. Even coming off IR, he's the third guy. He is the third wheel Coming to your date and wanting to sit there and just watch. Right, that is Jeff Wilson at this point in time. Regarding A-Chan, you have to start him. You have to fire him up at this point in time.

Speaker 1:

It was not a fluke. We saw how many touches Mostert got last week. Compared to him, he is definitely looking like he's slowly supplanting that of Mostert for the number one running back position at Miami. Now, regarding Mostert, it's so hard. It depends on your roster construction. If he's your RB2 and you might be looking at him, or maybe like Alexander Madison or somebody else, I'm probably going to go in Madison like this week. But if you're looking at him for a flex, it's a little bit different. I might, I might look to put most certain in the flex, but for me, man, if I'm looking at it from my perspective, I'm not starting most of this week. I have to. I have to see how they're going to run this offense with Jeff Wilson back now and HN.

Speaker 2:

All right, let's get into Frankie and Johnny's song of ice and fire. Okay, this week, frankie, we've got a new Night King. Okay, I'm calling him the Night King because I think he's been on ice three of four weeks that we've done fantasy football for. Actually, I know he's been on ice three or four weeks. That other week that he wasn't on ice he scored 33 points. So the guys got promise. However, the new Night King is Danny Dimes.

Speaker 2:

Daniel Jones, north of the wall riding his fucking dragon. You know just Daniel Jones 27 to 34, 203 yards, two picks, 10 for 66 rushing, two fumbles and 10 sacks. Negative two points. Good God, terrible, good God. Yeah, offensive line issues all day long. I have nothing else to say. We discussed it a little bit.

Speaker 2:

Other quarterback we've got on here on ice. I mean this guy, he's trying to be the ice king. I mean he's doing everything he can to be the Night King. Joe Burrow, I mean, wow, man, you know, 20 for 30, 165 yards, a fumble, three sacks. He had less than one point. I'm going to get to this other guy and then I have a discussion for you, frankie. The other guy on ice, which hopefully you didn't start him, but if you're in a super flex you may have had to. Dtr I can't even say his full name because he's not worthy of it right now 19 for 36,.

Speaker 2:

Cleveland Browns quarterback Dorian Thompson Robinson 19 for 36, 121 yards, three interceptions, four for 24, rushing a fumble, four sacks, negative one points. Okay, here's two situations I want to talk to you about, with Joe Burrow and with DTR. They're throwing Joe Burrow out there because he thinks he can play through this injury. Their backup quarterback has not thrown a pass in the NFL and they look at it and say a hurt. Joe Burrow gives us a better chance of winning these games than a guy who's not played at all. The Browns take the opposite approach and they put a guy who had no business being on the field. He was not ready for that situation. He was not ready for the size of this game and the importance of this game. They tried to put him right into the Deshaun Watson offense. They changed nothing. They did nothing different and they put him out there and he just got destroyed. What's the right answer here, man?

Speaker 1:

The right answer is more leaning towards that of the Browns. I say that the Browns did a very poor job in terms of the coaching, the scheme, the game plan. They didn't shift or change anything, and that's reported on by other analysts and those within the Browns organization saying that they literally Stifancy did not change damn near anything in terms of what he was doing from a game plan perspective, from Deshaun to DTR. From that perspective, shame on the Browns organization. I do appreciate the fact, though, that now Deshaun was medically cleared. Let me get that real, real honest here. They cleared him to play. He was the one who said I'm not 100% Because of that. I actually appreciate that a little bit more because we've seen the opposite end of the spectrum with Baker. Baker was medically cleared. He goes in and he sucks ass. It's not because of necessarily his play, it's because he was actually really hurt. And then he got hurt even worse and then hurt even worse, and then the buy week came and went and he came back and then it was dog shit. I appreciate a little bit more Maybe you should. I say what Deshaun did in that instance, but the Browns handled it poorly. The Bengals are replicating exactly what the Browns did with Baker, and I think they need to shove Borough down for at least a few weeks. You have this guy, isn't? We're not talking a scrub here, we're not talking like even a really good quarterback, we're talking elite. We're talking this guy has taken you to multiple AFC championships. He's taken you to a Super Bowl. He actually should have won, you guys, a Super Bowl, had Aaron Donald not gotten to him because Jamar Chase was wide the hell open.

Speaker 1:

For me, man, I think the Bengals are drastically doing Joe Borough and the organization a massive disservice as to how they're handling this, because, at the end of the day, man, players are going to want to play, every of them are going to want to play, and you have to save them from themselves in some aspects. Joe Borough, this is what's happening. And also, what do you think you're doing? Not wanting to bring in a veteran? It's not like you're throwing away this season, that's the other thing. Like Deshaun Watson is going to be back after this bi-week, we know that he's going to be back.

Speaker 1:

Joe Borough is injured. He's not hurt, he is injured. And so there's two completely different things happening. So for me, man, absolute shame on what the Bengals are doing, bring in a veteran quarterback or bring in somebody to take a snap or do something, because right now I mean this is causing problems in the locker room. You can see the frustration on Jamar Chase's face and the way he's acting and the words he's saying. I mean he's motherfucking saying the F word to reporters and stuff and saying how he's always f'ing open. And so that's Joe Borough's boy. He's going to be playing here in college, and so what I'm getting at is the Bengals are not doing Joe Burrow anything to help him. The Browns I appreciate what Deshaun did, but they also put DTR in a terrible position by not changing the game plan. So both similar in some aspects but different in their approach to things, if that makes sense, john.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it does. Let's get to some running backs here. Let's see who shit the bed for you. Raheem Mostert as we just talked about two points out of Raheem Mostert, he didn't see that he did have two fumbles and that definitely probably gave him a little time off and gave a channel a little more opportunity there. Aaron Jones, coming back off of his hamstring injury Less than two points for Aaron Jones Rough, go of it.

Speaker 2:

Miles Sanders less than five points 13 for 13 rushes, 13 for 19 yards. Yeah, no bueno. Aj Dylan one point. Aj Dylan's dropable at this point. Agree, totally. Yeah, delvin Cook he's becoming dropable. I can tell you that. Two points, five rushes for 16 yards. Yeah, that's pretty scary. I think people thought Delvin Cook was going to be a thing. I'm not so sure. Man, I don't think it's going to be. Let's get some receivers here. Jordan Addison had a zero goose egg for you this week. Apparently, kirk Cousins didn't like him this week. Debo Samuel this one was really weird. Wild. It's so hard to figure out what to do with this the 49ers fantasy players, because it's like it's always going to be CMC and then it's going to be one of the three options typically hit.

Speaker 2:

And that's how. That's what we've seen over four games. Debo Samuel had zero targets. He had three carries for six yards. I had to look at that stat five times because I thought I was wrong. I thought the app was was completely wrong.

Speaker 1:

John, what's interesting? Real quick on that, debo, here's exactly to your point. Week two 18 fantasy points and double in half PPR. Week three 23 points and half PPR. This past week, 0.6 points to your point. And so for me, man, yeah, I completely agree, it is. That's a great call out. It's literally going to be CMC and then your choice of IEUK, debo and Kittle. One of them are going to pop off, play roulette.

Speaker 2:

It's exactly what it is. It's Russian roulette. Just put the bullets in there. And yeah you know, yeah man. Chris Alave, this one absolutely killed me as well. Less than one point, one catch for four yards. George Pickens we talked about it. Three points. Michael Pittman one catch, 15 yards, four points out of him. Murray Cooper that was a DTR issue. We know that he had one catch, two points. Tanked L this one was disappointing.

Speaker 1:

We really liked him going into this.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was just the way that, the way that they schemed against this defense. Apparently, Nico Collins went absolutely apeshit. Who we'll talk about. So we, we had the right passing offense. Just the wrong guy on that one Tanked L less than three points, TJ Hawkinson, let's get to a couple of tight ends. We just talked about 49ers. George Kittle less than two points there. Tj Hawkinson three points as well. All right, Frankie, let's get to fire. All right, hey, stack of the week. Why don't you put a little little buffalo sauce on there? But did you see the Pepsi with the buffalo sauce? By the way? Yeah, what was that? Josh Allen was doing that. So Kyle Brandt said that he would do it. They did it. On good morning football, I saw that yeah.

Speaker 2:

And he's like yeah, you know what, it's not that bad. He goes, I don't hate it. I don't hate it.

Speaker 1:

And then they pan over. I forget what the other guy's name, the other guy that he does it with, oh yeah, well, anyways, I forget. I apologize, but Peter Frederick. Yeah, thank you. Thank you, peter, he's, he's drinking it as well and he's like ready to vomit and I'm sitting there.

Speaker 2:

Well, you can tell Shrags was at the game the night before yeah, definitely. And you can tell that he was hung over and he's me. He's drinking this gone, this, I am going to puke. This is awful. Why don't you give us the stack of the week, frankie?

Speaker 1:

Glad to guys. What a fucking show they put on. In Buffalo. Baby Bill's mafia went absolutely nuts against what could be the hottest team in the NFL app before this week happened. I'm talking Josh Allen. He ended up throwing for 320 yards for passing touchdowns. What was his pass rating, you ask? I'm glad you asked who's 158.3?

Speaker 1:

and John, you can't get better than 158.3. That is the max. You asked me that last week. That is the honest truth. And so then, wow, you look at receiver. Who do you think it was Gabe Davis? He had a pretty good game, right, he was one of the starts of the week. He did good. Hell, no, it wasn't Gabe Davis I'm talking about. We're going out and digging a hole with Stefan Diggs. He dug a hole so damn far in Miami. Let me tell you some about it. He ended up having 120 yards, receiving three touchdowns on seven targets. He caught. It was just absolutely nuts. On seven targets he had six catches, three touchdowns, 120 yards Un-freakin-believable man. He ended up having what was the point total? They had Stefan Diggs 35 fantasy points and FPPR and that of Josh Allen, 44.5 fantasy points Un-believably on fire in the Bills Mafia baby.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I guess who played against that stack this week? Damn it. Shout out to Paul Rapp, Ultimate Wolf.

Speaker 1:

And what a great draft strategy by Paul Also, I know I'm pulling that from deep, but we had a keeper and he ended up a keeper league we started up this year. He decided to keep Josh Allen or no, excuse me, keep Stefan Diggs in the second round and he went Josh Allen in the first, which we were all like what are you doing? Yeah, it's working. Shout out Paul Rapp, really well done.

Speaker 2:

Paid off, paid off. Don't pay attention to ADP. Get the guys you want. And then man Totally, because right now that draft, the ADP, that means nothing. He has a stack that scored over 75 points Yep, incredible. What are you going to do? It's beautiful, all right. Number two quarterback on the list, justin Fields. It's good to see him back over into the fire segment. Huh, it is Been about I don't know seven, eight games before we've had him.

Speaker 1:

Quite a few.

Speaker 2:

Almost 33 points out of Justin Fields. We finally got him back here. Number three, anthony Richardson. Man, this guy's good. I mean, he just looks good. I thought he was going to be way worse of a passer than he is showing, but he's playing very well. Almost 30 points out of Anthony Richardson. So you've got to love seeing that. Really interesting to see what happens with JT coming in, you know.

Speaker 1:

Totally.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, really going to be interesting to see what they do there. How much more is he going to run as much as he has? Are there going to be as many design runs? Could they do a little fake action here with running? You're never going to know if it's going to be Richardson or if it's going to be JT, and which side they're going to go. Could be pretty cool, man. They really could.

Speaker 2:

All right, how about the number four quarterback on the week, baker Freaking Mayfield? Hey, you know what? Right here, a hat's off to you, sir. All love, all love, yeah, all love. You know we didn't want you on our team. You know personally, but I'm rooting for you as a person, as a human. Totally I love the player. Good for you, man, really playing good football out there. So it's really really good football. Almost 29 points out of Baker Mayfield. I love it, man. Heart goes a long way, all right. Number five CJ Stroud. I love what CJ Stroud is doing. Right now I'm trying to trade for CJ Stroud in the Sunflex League. He looks legit, man. He looks absolutely legit. He's making good decisions. His leadership looks great. His passes look amazing. He's just playing very, very well. 28 points out of CJ Stroud.

Speaker 1:

Number 10 quarterback John. Number 10 quarterback in fantasy football thus far CJ Stroud. Welcome to the fucking show.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, surprise team Jalen Hertz with 27 points. Russell Wilson 27. Lamar Jackson against Howard Brownies 27 points. Joshua Dobbs another surprise here. Man, these two teams. Everybody thought we're going to be terrible with Houston and Arizona. They're fun, they're plucky. They are fun, they're plucky. You know it doesn't mean a whole lot, but it's fun to watch. It's super fun.

Speaker 1:

I would rather, john, I would rather watch Josh Dobbs and CJ Stroud than literally watch the New York Giants ever again. That is how done I am with the Giants. That was terrible football. That was not even football. Don't ever put that on TV again. Terrible, all right.

Speaker 2:

Why don't you talk about why everyone needed to draft CMC at number one or two overall, john?

Speaker 1:

He's him, he's him. That's what I want to say, and I know it sounds corny to say that, but that's the only way I can describe it.

Speaker 2:

Guys, he's beyond him, he's the best he has ever been, and that's fucking terrifying. It's crazy, and he's the most protected he's ever been.

Speaker 1:

This is the best offensive line that there's ever been that he's ever played behind. This is the best all around team he's ever played on, and it's not even fucking close. This dude is truly, in my opinion, single-handedly changing the running back landscape for what the expectations are coming out. You have to be just as good, or potentially a pass catcher, as what you are a running back. There's a few exceptions, and that's Derek Henry, nick Chubb and maybe throwing Josh Jacobs there. Outside of that, they're not really pure rushers. You have Seyquan Barkley, who's a stud at the receiving end, but none of them right now are even fucking close to CMC John. Just to give you guys who listening and watching, some semblance of what he's done so far, he's averaging in half, ppr 27.75 points. A game, in full, ppr 30.

Speaker 1:

He had 46.2 fantasy points this past week against the Cardinals and here is what it was based on 20 carries, 106 yards, three rushing touchdowns to go along with seven receptions on eight targets for 71 yards and another touchdown. He came into the game, into this game, week four against the Cardinals, to one touchdown away, to break Jerry Rice's franchise record for the most consecutive games with a touchdown, and he got it out of the way with just nine minutes left in the first quarter. He is now the record holder for the most consecutive games with a touchdown. We just need to take a second. Everybody listening and watching needs to truly appreciate what we're seeing out of this running back and out of what he's doing. He's Steph Curry in basketball, changing the game of all these little kids and the expectation of okay, now we're gonna shoot threes from the half-point mark or from the half-court mark. That's what CMC is doing in football. Absolutely incredible, john.

Speaker 2:

He's breaking the all-time record as a 49er. He hasn't even played with the team for a full season. That's crazy. He came to the team mid-year last year. He hasn't even played a full season with these guys. That's it. It's insane man. I mean it's unbelievable. And he's not doing it single-handedly, him combined with Kyle Shanahan. It's a chef's kiss. It's a chef's kiss.

Speaker 2:

I'm drooling it's so delicious I can't even believe it. There's so far a marriage in heaven. I mean, it's just perfect, my God. All right, that's enough slobbing on Christian McCaffrey. Sorry, number two, david Montgomery. How about that? You know what Good for the Lions to be able to show some diversity here and say you know what? Dan Campbell's our coach. He's banging his wife's staring at Andy Reid on the nightstand.

Speaker 1:

He's drinking.

Speaker 2:

Velociraptor, fucking eggs. Yeah, exactly, he wants to be a powerful team too and he can show us that he can do that. They're pretty diverse here, man. They can grind it out. They can throw with five wide like the best of them Pretty impressive. But David Montgomery great game 34 fantasy points, 121 rushing yards, three touchdowns on the ground, two catches for 20. So yeah, I mean really, really good player, got to get David Montgomery out there. Start Monte every week until further notice, no question. Yeah, number three Devon H-Hann H-Hann out there again 27 points. You got to keep rolling with this guy. He's earning the job for sure. John Henry.

Speaker 1:

John real quick on H-Hann. Guys remember when we talked about I believe it was most or John and he ended up having what was that? He had seven rushes for nine and a half yards or something like that Seven rushes for nine and a half yards. Devon H-Hann had eight rushes for 101 yards in two touchdowns and he brought in three of five targets for 19 yards. That is a massive difference, yeah.

Speaker 2:

And it's the reason why it's so difficult is because they're both only getting a handful of touches. Exactly, they're both getting like 10 touches, but what they're doing with those touches and that's Mike McDaniels from the Kyle Shanahan tree, totally, that's, it's the how they're getting them out in space. So it's a little scary to me because you have to rely on such efficiency. That is not sustainable. I mean, it's just not sustainable to have eight carries and two of them are going to be touchdowns. No, it's not, but you have to get them out there. You have to Because it's lightning in a bottle.

Speaker 2:

You have to, you have to. That's getting a giant play out of it, which he's shown to do over the past couple of weeks here. All right, derek Henry, I will. I will take my lumps. I will say I'm sorry, derek King Henry, I'm sorry. I doubted you. I openly doubted you. It publicly doubted you. I'm sorry. You looked great. He still had the juice. Frankie never got it.

Speaker 1:

I love you.

Speaker 2:

Derek, don't kill Frankie, please don't kill me, I'm sorry, king Henry. 27 points out of Derek Henry. Isaiah Pacheco this was really nice to see, very Nice to see. 26 points out of Isaiah Pacheco, 115 yards, rushing, rushing touchdown Really good to see. And this is going to be really nice knowing that Pacheco is going to be staring at that Denver Rush defense man twice in three weeks. I mean that's beautiful, salivating. Yeah, do you want to talk about the start to the week, guys? There's going to be two weeks coming up that you're going to see Isaiah Pacheco on that list.

Speaker 2:

Kyren Williams it sucks that everything's happening about Puka and all of this stuff and the news with Cooper Cup, because Kyren Williams just gets left out of it. Kyren Williams has been awesome. I mean what a surprise this guy has been 26 points, 103 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns. I mean he's just played really, really well. Number six on the board here. A couple of other mentions here Josh Jacobs with 23 points, khalil Herbert one of my champions 21 points and Jaleel McLaughlin, who came in for the injured. Givante Williams 18 points. All right, let's get to some receivers here. Frankie, I know he's in my boy band, but I know he's on a couple of your teams. I wasn't able to get him this year. Why don't you talk about our number one receiver on the week here?

Speaker 1:

Number one receiver on the week, guys is AJ Brown. Aj Brown ended up having 13 targets, nine receptions, 175 beautiful yards with two touchdowns. Guys, what is this equate to 36 fantasy points and a half PPR. We are finally, john. This was one guy. After two weeks we were like what is happening here? Are we a little bit nervous that he's turning into 1B rather than 1A? And what we're starting to realize is he's still 1A. He's still 1A the last two weeks 18.6 points, 36 weeks against Washington. Now he's playing against a better defense than that of the Rams this coming week, but AJ Brown, still AJ Brown, baby.

Speaker 2:

Hey, squeaky wheel baby. That wheel squeaked a lot and that's some bitch got some oil on that dinner. She did, he sure did. All right. Number two on the week. We talked about it with the stack of the weeks Stefan digs 35 points. Awesome, awesome, showing. Number three Nico Collins. This is awesome. Nico Collins was a guy that we talked up in the beginning in the off season, prior to the draft. We said listen, man, every mock draft I'm doing, I'm taking Nico Collins at the end of the draft is my last pick, because I just I think he's going to have some juice. I think he's going to do something this year, assuming CJ Straub can play Guess what Spoiler alert, he can fucking play, and so can Nico Collins. Man, I mean, he has been awesome. Number three receiver on the week.

Speaker 1:

Number seven receiver overall so far.

Speaker 2:

Seven receiver overall. Nico Collins, picked as your last pick in your draft, probably Seven catches, 168 yards and two touchdowns. Man, fan, goddamn Tastic. Another guy here, next guy, talk about him, man. Talk about him, puka, puka.

Speaker 1:

Puka again. Oh, he's just on fire. I mean, he's just constantly on fire, Guys. He ended up having 10, excuse me targets, nine receptions, 163 yards and the game ceiling touchdown in overtime Unbelievable, Literally. This kid is just blowing everybody's mind and, honestly, hats off to you, man. You are fun as hell to watch.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he absolutely is Number five. Dj Moore Good to see him up there. Twenty four points JJ can't keep him out of the top 10. Twenty three points. Justin Jefferson. Michael Wilson this was a little bit of a shocker, you know. Totally nobody coming out of Arizona with twenty three points. Brandon I U oh, we found the forty nine or other than CMC that scored points. Eighteen points out of him. Any tight ends to note here? Cole commit it's nice to see some Chicago players on fire this week. Twenty four points, two touchdowns out of Cole commit. Mark Andrews Great week to decide to come back to life. Mark Andrews against the Browns Five for eighty with two touchdowns. John O Smith this is interesting. People have asked me should I pick up John O Smith? I mean, he's the backup tight end to Kyle Pitts. Why is John O Smith getting all this play? And you've got Kyle Pitts out there. I don't.

Speaker 1:

Nobody understands Nobody. It's impossible to really understand why Ritter is not getting. I mean, john, we're talking, janus Smith is the backup and he's the number ten tight end on the season right now. That's what we talk, what he's outperforming Kyle Pitts, atlanta Falcons.

Speaker 2:

Hear me out, you actually come closer. Atlanta Falcons. Would you please fucking trade Kyle Pitts to a team that's going to use him? I mean seriously, trade him to a team that's going to use him? Please trade him to Dallas.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that would be so sexy yeah.

Speaker 2:

I mean please, man, I mean anywhere. Just please send him somewhere with a quarterback, God man.

Speaker 1:

Baker In Mike Evans and Godwin. I mean that could be really insane.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's crazy. It's crazy, man. Yeah, anyway, forget it. I just get so upset. I could start talking about Kyle Pitts and I just I lose all train of thought here. Man, I can't do it. All right, frankie, let's get to our Thursday night football preview, baby, all right. Thursday night, this week, guys, we do have the aforementioned Chicago Bears, with some guys on fire there. They are going to be traveling to the Washington Commanders. The Manders are favored by six points in this game. The over and under is 44 and a half. Let's start with the Bears. So what do you think in here, buddy? You want to stay in the flames with the three guys that are on fire?

Speaker 1:

Definitely, definitely, staying in the flames, going to be here for a minute, man, I'm rolling with Justin Fields, you're going to be firing up DJ Moore, you're firing up Colcomet and I think you can fire up Herbert. I really do. I think he's a flex option this week. That could be very, very interesting if you need to.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, khalil Herbert is. He's the one. This is not a shared backfield. They experimented a little bit. They gave Roshan Johnson a carry on the goal line the week before. People were going oh my God, it's going to be Roshan Johnson, it's not a. Khalil Herbert had 18 carries for 103 yards, five targets, four catches and a touchdown. Yeah, very solid game. I mean, khalil Herbert had 21 points this week. So I think they're starting to establish a little bit of an identity. Stop getting cute. Let your playmakers make plays. Give them the volume. Khalil Herbert is a volume guy. He's not a guy, he's not an HN. He's not going to have eight carries and have over 100 yards and a touchdown. He needs 15 to 20 touches in the game in order to be productive. So they did that right. Anybody else on this bears team? That is even interesting to you and family.

Speaker 1:

No, no, not at this point in time.

Speaker 2:

Keep it with the big three, the running back, the receiver, the quarterback. You can definitely play Cole Komet, because all tight ends are an absolute shithole right now. So that's, that's fantastic. All right, let's look at the other side here. What are we looking at with the Washington commanders? This team is still a little confusing to me with the past game. It's kind of a Jekyll and Hyde situation with Sam Howe. It is times where he looks absolutely great and he's making good decisions and he's running the ball, he's getting the ball out to and supporting two receivers with Terry McLaurin and Johan Dodson, and then there's other times to where he looks terrible, like he's trying to beat out Desmond Ritter as the worst quarterback in the league. What do you do here? What do you do with the commanders this week, specifically against the bears.

Speaker 1:

This is the week that you fire up Sam Howe and you fucking enjoy it, you baskin it. You're eating your wings watching that Thursday night game and you're sitting there, spicy Buffalo wings and you're like hell yeah, I'm riding in the flames with you. That is, this is the matchup. If there's any matchup, it's this one. Outside of this week Sit his ass. But this week is the week, john, and I'm going to make a bold statement here too.

Speaker 1:

One of my starts of the week, in my personal opinion, is going to be Brian Robinson. This is a dream matchup for this running back. He's the number seven running back on the year so far in terms of fan and half PPR. He just came off a decent showing against a very good defensive front, and that are the Eagles into where they almost won the game. He had 45 rushing yards on 14 carries, one touchdown and he caught two targets with it with for six yards. So he had a decent game. Guys, this is a dream matchup.

Speaker 1:

I actually see this being a fairly high scoring game, because both defenses actually suck in my personal opinion. So for me, man, I think you fire up Sam Howe this week, especially in the double flex. Even in DFS. This could be a really cheap, easy quarterback. It's got to be Terry Scary Terry You've got to fire him up this week, john and it's got to be Brian Robinson. Outside of that, I think a interesting play is Logan Thomas, the tight end. I think that he is a guy that gets slept on a little bit, who has tight end one written all over him, and I'm really high on this guy if he can stay on the field. So that would be my other sneaky guy. I would love to say Datsun. Unfortunately, I don't know if you can trust Datsun right now, and so right now I would go with who am I ready to ride in the flames with against a really shit defense? And it's going to be those guys that I mentioned in Howell, in Robinson, in Scary Terry and that of Logan Thomas.

Speaker 2:

Datsun, just so you know, limited practice on Monday and Tuesday, so he's got an ankle ankle issue. He's limited this week. Yeah, it might be difficult to to throw him out there. You might want to look for other options, but I agree with you.

Speaker 2:

Absolutely, brian Robinson. Smash play this way, smash play, smash play. This week he's looked so good, I've been so impressed by him and it's just running, so he's made Antonio Gibson completely irrelevant, irrelevant, gone. Wow, we just did that together. That was really irrelevant. Ready One, two, three, irrelevant, so good, all right, who do you think takes this one? Who do you think is going to win Commanders by six? What do you think?

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's steep. I don't know, I don't know, man, this is not a game I'm actually going to bet on. If I was to bet on it, I wouldn't be betting any of the lines. I'm going to take the over if I was to bet on this game. But I'm leaning commanders here. I'm leaning commanders here Over 44 and a half. I do. I like 44 and a half.

Speaker 2:

Steve hot that over. Workout for you on Monday night. Monday night.

Speaker 1:

Actually he was a little bit tough. He was a little bit tough, you know, 28 to three. Yeah, you know it was a little bit tough man, but yeah, all right.

Speaker 2:

Good luck to you guys on Thursday. Don't forget little tip Take your Thursday players out of your flex position, put them in your running back to or wide receiver to spot. Just gives you a little extra flexibility through the week in case somebody comes up injured by the end of the week. You want to have that flexibility there in your flex spot. All right, everyone.
