Let's go, All right, all right, all right, Welcome to the show. This is the Frankly Fantasy Football Podcast. We are your hosts, Frankie and Johnny. Happy Thanksgiving, brother. You ready for some Turkey Day football?
Speaker 2:I'm ready to stuff my face full of turkey and booze, and beers, and stuffing and sweet potatoes while I'm watching some football. Johnny, let me tell you this is one of the best days of the year. Baby, are you pumped?
Speaker 1:I'm so pumped. We got three games starting at 1230 Eastern on Thanksgiving Day. Love it, man. We got a Friday game, a Black Friday game this week as well. Raiders and Chiefs, That'll be interesting. You gotta throw Amazon in there. They have to get theirs on the holiday. We got Saturday games coming up soon too, I believe in a few weeks here. So that'll be fun, man, That'll be fun. What plans you have for Thanksgiving? What do you got going on? Well, Johnny boy.
Speaker 2:I'm gonna be, so we're lining up. We got a lineup here, so fun fact, viewers, listeners, I'm half Italian, half Slovak and a little bit of a special in there as well, but my Slovak.
Speaker 1:Wait a minute. The special Are you saying like special, special, like what special are you talking about?
Speaker 2:Like just kind of special. I don't know, I was just felt special.
Speaker 1:If it says special on your 23andMe, I don't think it means what you think it means, Matt.
Speaker 2:Well, the special that I'm lining up for this week is Wednesday. I say Slovak because my family goes to the Slovak Center and my grandfather, who is 88 years old, is playing at the bar and we're going to rock it out on Wednesday night. Thursday, we got to line up, heading to the in-laws and we're going to start throwing hatchets, cracking beers and getting a deep-fried turkey going at about 7 am, and then Friday I'm hanging out with my family, saturday's the Buckeyes and Sunday getting ready for football all day. Baby, what does your schedule look like, john?
Speaker 1:I don't know. I want to do what you're doing. That sounds great, man. Yeah, hey, careful with that deep fried turkey, man. I don't want to see you and Jesse blowing up a damn turkey this year. Man, no, I'm going to see my kids, I'm going to see my family, I'm going to go into Cleveland for the weekend and, yeah, man, it's just going to be nice, going to relax. Have a wonderful, wonderful Thanksgiving. All right, Welcome to the show everybody.
Speaker 1:Let's get into it here. We've got a lot of stuff happening today. We're going to be doing our news and notes very shortly. We're also going to be getting into a preview of all three of the Thursday games. Give you a little breakdown of what's happening there. See who you should start and sit. We're also going to get into our hit-its and quit-its and starts and sits. Baby, we got some good ones for this week, frankie. We've been crushing recently Now the ones that we do get wrong, and every week we'll have one that doesn't hit. You had Aaron Jones last week. Thank you to all the commenters out there. All I see is LMAO or nice start, and I know they're being facetious. So thank you guys. You know it wouldn't hurt to say, hey, great idea, great start. Johnny, you nailed one. No, they only comment when you fuck it up. I understand, I get it Freaking trolls out there. You guys are so savage. I love it, though. Keep it coming, man.
Speaker 1:Let's go All right, we're going to start off. It's Thursday football news here, so get you guys going early. A couple of guys on the Lions here we have some concerns with. David Montgomery did not practice on Monday with a shoulder. He left the game with a shoulder injury. He said he'd be good to go, but Dan Campbell looked at him and he says hey, man, we've got bigger plans here. So he wants to keep Monty healthy. I don't think he thought he needed him in that game. I'm not sure that he thinks he needs him in this game either. So that's the concerning part. Even though it sounds like Monty could go, they may hold him out or limit him to keep him healthy. They're obviously going to make a huge playoff run here and they don't want to risk Monty. So monitor that at the end of the week, frankie, if you don't mind. Actually that'll be Fridays with Frankie we're already going to miss this game. So, guys, you're going to have to pay attention to these guys playing on Thursday. Just make sure that they go. The other person we need to worry about a little bit here is Am Ross. St Brown did not practice, had a knee injury. Dan Campbell again feels good about him playing. He should be all right, but monitor that.
Speaker 1:You don't want any surprises on Turkey Day. Jake Ferguson, tight end for the Cowboys, still in concussion protocol. Not likely for him to get out of that. With a Thursday game coming up, that means the Schoonman Schoonmaker had a great game too. So Schooner Schoonmaker man, if he's in he's a great streamer for you for tight end if you need one. Ceedee Lamb, also with a back injury. He was limited on Monday. Cooper Rush, the quarterback for the Cowboys, also limited practice on Monday with a knee injury. Both of these guys seem like they're going to be good to go, but just keep an eye on that and make sure. Last thing you want is for a surprise CD lamb sit. Then you weren't paying attention. So watch that. Brandon Cooks, also for the Cowboys, could make his return on Thursday for the first time since week three. Is this a guy if you're desperate, or in a deep league? Frankie, do you feel okay throwing Brandon Cooks out there with Cooper Rush throwing the ball?
Speaker 2:John, it's tough. I mean we saw what Jalen Tolbert's been doing. We saw Turpin get involved quite you know from some of the past games, mostly special teams for him. So seeing Brandon Cooks step in as the number two now, and with Ferguson kind of out, you could throw a Hail Mary, I wouldn't bank on it.
Speaker 1:So take with that, with what you will Definitely worth rostering, I think at this point Especially if you're In a deeper league or a three receiver league Worth rostering but not ready to throw him Out there yet. Let's see how things go. Alright, romeo Dobbs, wide receiver for the Packers, did not practice. He's in concussion protocol. Very unlikely for him to play. Does this elevate? Who do you think this elevates for you? Frankie, on that green bay passing game, I mean obviously jaylen reed. Jayden reed, he's a, he's a must start. You got to fire him up but you've got kind of a quagmire going on with the rest of the receivers, with christian watson, um, with don tavian wicks. I do think wicks could get a little bump. If you're desperate, if you're in a 14-team league or a three-receiver league, wicks may be a guy I think you might be able to throw out there. How do you feel about that?
Speaker 2:You could, john, I'll probably lean in opposite direction. I would personally be leaning more towards Tucker Kraft. I think that he could actually see an uptick, especially in the middle of the field against a really stout Miami defense right. So Miami has done a very good job for the most part against opposing wide receivers. So of course you know you're going to have the Reed and Ramsey matchup, which everybody's going to want to be seeing, and then outside of that I think Christian Watson for me would be that next guy with Tucker Kraft. So again, not to say Dontavian Wicks couldn't be an awesome sleeper. I would probably go Wicks over Cooks, if you're trying to, for a Hail Mary there as long as Romeo Dubs isn't playing. But I would kind of go with that stack ranking.
Speaker 1:All right. Sir Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars returned to practice this week. Kind of a sneaky return to practice. I didn't really see this one coming. The team's going to make a decision on him later this week, so pay attention to that. I mean, he was really playing well and putting up some fantasy numbers here before he got hurt. So if he does play, it could be very, very interesting. Maybe we'll get a little update on that with Fridays with Frankie.
Speaker 1:All right, gardner Minshew, quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders, has a broken collarbone. Will miss the rest of the season. Now what's interesting about this is Aiden O'Connell's, the backup. Aiden O'Connell's been on IR. They're activating him off of IR. He had a thumb injury, uh, and apparently, uh, pierce is saying the head coach is saying as long as he can grip the ball he's gonna play. Uh, what? What are you doing with this Raiders team man? They play Friday. They play the Kansas City Chiefs very rough matchup. Chiefs are pissed off. I do think the Chiefs are going to come out and just whoop their ass. What are you doing with this Raiders offense with so much question at the quarterback position?
Speaker 2:John. For me it's two guys still. We're rolling with Brock Bowers, we're rolling with Jacoby Myers. Outside of that, I'm not willing to put any stock in anybody, especially against a off kansas city team that is 10 and 1 or 9 and 1. Wherever they are 10 and 1 all right.
Speaker 1:Brian robinson jr. Uh, running back for the washington manders man, this guy's had a rough go. He's, he's just been a beast, he's been awesome, but man, he, just he's getting hurt all the time. I think they just run him right into the teeth of these defenses, man, man, and his body takes a toll. He's got an ankle injury, could miss this week. We're going to have to monitor Again, I swear to God. I think Friday's with Frankie.
Speaker 1:I think Brian Robinson might be a topic you talk about every single week on whether or not he's going to play. Now, what makes this interesting is Austin Eckler. I mean, we've kind of talked about these two running backs. It seems like one of them's hurt every single week. Austin Eckler, he is going to miss. He's in concussion protocol. This is his second concussion in a matter of a couple of weeks, so he's going to be out for a little bit here. All right With Brian Robinson. Questionable, a little banged up, eckler is going to be out. Jeremy McNichols is very interesting, frankie, I mean this is going to be a big waiver wire claim. If it wasn't already this week, what is this? A guy you think you can go out there and play in week 13, when you're trying to miss or make the playoffs here, definitely.
Speaker 2:If both of these guys are out, absolutely. Jeremy McNichols has proven that he can be a serviceable court or a running back there, especially behind, you know, jalen or Jaden Daniels there, and so it takes a lot of the pressure, it alleviates a lot of the pressure off of the running backs because they have to key in on Daniels. So, guys, absolutely, if both of these running backs are not playing, mcnichols could be a nice little pick them up off the way or a waiver wire, whether you stash him or whether you actually plug and play him. You know I'm personally leaning towards a McNichols over that. Again, only if both those other running backs are not playing. But and if they aren't, I like McNichols over that of a Brandon Cooks and I like him over a Dontavian Wicks, even for this particular week all All right, sounds good.
Speaker 1:What else we got here? Josh Downs left the game wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts, with a shoulder injury. He's week to week right now, which means he's going to miss this week and he could miss one to two weeks. So make other plans for Josh Downs. The one good thing I can say out of this is that it's got to elevate Michael Pittman Jr a bit. He started seeing more targets, caught a few balls last week, but I think this week, with downs out, I think that Michael Pittman is going to eat Okay.
Speaker 1:Cedric Tillman, wide receiver for the Browns, in concussion protocol. Brock Purdy, quarterback for the 49ers. He missed last week shoulder injury. He did some light throwing on Monday without pain, so you're going to have to monitor his status for Sunday. As we saw, it makes a huge, huge difference on this team Huge. If Brock Purdy is not playing, you have to downgrade everyone on that team, including Christian McCaffrey. They became very one-dimensional and McCaffrey did not get as much play out of the backfield that we usually see out of him, so pay attention to that. Isaiah Pacheco, running back for the Kansas City Chiefs off IR. He should play this week. Should is the right thing to say Now, frankie, if he does play and he is active are you firing him up?
Speaker 2:100%. Don't even think about it. I'm firing up Pacheco. The Chiefs will not put Pacheco out there if he is not ready. They're already a Super Bowl contending team. They're already in the mix for the number one seed in the AFC alone. They're not going to risk it. Same thing with David Montgomery, like what we talked about earlier. But if he is ready and he is on the field, you start him against this Las Vegas Raiders defense.
Speaker 1:I think so too. I don't think it's going to be what you're used to with Isaiah Pacheco. I mean, they're obviously going to ease him in a bit, but if he can get 10, 12 touches, I think that's going to be enough. I think that could get him 50 yards and a touchdown. I really really do. You will still see Kareem Hunt mixed in there. You may see Kareem Hunt on third down, but I don't think you can start Kareem Hunt this week, and I think if you need to start Pacheco, you can. All right, let's keep going here. Jk Dobbins not really a big update here, but he did injure his knee. Left the game on Monday night. This is Tuesday afternoon. We still don't have very many answers on this. Couldn't find anything. You're going to have to pay attention to this. If JK Dobbins does not go, how do you feel about Gus Edwards?
Speaker 2:man, I mean you got to fire him up. You got to fire him up, john. I mean, right now that team. Here's what was rough about JK going down. That team was completely different.
Speaker 2:The first half to the second half, the momentum change, the running game was completely abysmal. Right Then the Baltimore Ravens could just truly key in on Herbert and they still honestly had a shot to win the game. But with that being said, the offense just looked out of sync. So for me, they have to figure out a way to establish the run in order for Herbert to open up with these other receivers, because these receivers are not John. They don't have a true number one on this team.
Speaker 2:Let's call it what it is Ladd McConkie, still a rookie. Joshua Palmer is not a true number one, not even really close. And then Quentin Johnson, I mean one week he's catching a bomb for a touchdown, the next he's dropping five passes that hit his hands right. And so there's not any consistency with these receivers other than quick outs, quick hits with McConkie. So for me, man, you have to establish the run game as a charger and uh or or the for the chargers themselves for that offense. And therefore I think Gus Edwards has proven that already in a Greg Roman type of offense. So yes, that was a long-winded answer for a short question. The answer is yes. Pick up Gus Edwards if you can.
Speaker 1:All right, devontae Smith, wide receiver for the Eagles still questionable. Keep an eye on his status throughout the week here. Aaron Rodgers Frank, I don't want you to spend a lot of time on this because Aaron Rodgers has not been fantasy relevant, but it's news, matt, we've got to talk about it. Please break down the latest edition of the Aaron Rodgers drama Aaron are we going back to Karen Rodgers.
Speaker 2:We're going back to Karen Rodgers at this point here, John I forgot about that, right, forgot about all the memes with Karen Rodgers.
Speaker 1:That's two seasons ago, at this point, man, that's two three seasons ago.
Speaker 2:Shout out to Brian out in LA, he'd love that shit. He'd hit us up. But long story short guys. Karen Rodgers right now is on the verge and I think it's going to happen. John, he's going to get benched. And whether that means he's benched for the rest of the season, whether that means he's benched for a couple weeks, john, for me, man, I don't think he's going to be a Jet. I think he honestly could end up getting cut if Tyrod Taylor comes in and starts playing well, so so forth.
Speaker 2:The turmoil that has happened for the Jets honestly needs to be studied. I don't think I've seen anything of the sort right, you fire Joe Douglas, right, you fire Robert Sala, you bring in a Hall of Famer quarterback. He sucks. And then you get his best friend and one of his good receivers, Devontae Adams. You get him over. He's surely going to cure everything. They're terrible. The defense is falling apart. So with Aaron Rodgers as a whole man mark my word right now it's leaning like he might not end up playing at all, he might retire. He's saying if he doesn't retire, he wants to come back to the Jets. The Jets right now don't want nothing to do with him. So right now, this is a really interesting situation unfolding in New.
Speaker 1:York. If this does happen, does Tyrod Taylor destroy the value of Devante and Garrett Wilson?
Speaker 2:No, and I'll tell you why. Because when you look back at how Tyrod played when he's been given the opportunity, whether it was Buffalo, whether it was the Giants, even the Browns, before he got hurt, he was serviceable, he was an okay quarterback. I mean, I'm putting him in the mix, maybe it's here above that of Gardner Minshew, right, and I'm not saying that's anything great, but what I'm saying is that gives your weapons something. And so with the weapons around him, john, you actually might see more consistency from Garrett Wilson here. You know, maybe not as many targets, but certainly you might see a couple more catches than what he's been used to. And I think Devontae Adams man could end up being big, you know, big again, level setting expectation.
Speaker 2:Maybe we don't see the 20 point games.
Speaker 2:Well, maybe we consistently see those 12, 13, 14 point games, because they know that they're just going to end up throwing the ball constantly, whether it's the breeze, the other two, whatever it may be, because teams are going to end up throwing the ball constantly, whether it's DeBreeze, the other two, whatever it may be, because teams are going to be stacking the box against this Jets team if Tyrod's at the helm.
Speaker 2:So for me, man, no, I actually don't think it's going to be that far of a fall off, and the other caveat to that is it's partly due to how bad Aaron Rodgers has played as well. Right With how bad he's played and how well we've still seen Garrett Wilson perform again. Well is subjective and I get that. But well, to a certain degree, of a receiver two form, devontae Adams still being a solid receiver two form, I don't think there's going to be much drop off. I really don't. I think it's going to be pretty similar, maybe a couple up spurts here and there or maybe down spurts here and there, but I think it's going to be pretty plateaued from what we've seen.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right, before we get into the Thursday football, the waiver wire guys. Plan for week 14 now. Don't wait till next week and try to pick people up on the waiver wire. We talked last week about streaming quarterbacks and streaming defenses for your playoffs. Post that right here. Take a look at that video. But, guys, this is the week. If you didn't do it last week, do it now. Plan for your bye weeks, plan for streaming for your playoffs.
Speaker 1:Let's look at this because we've got serious, serious guys on bye in week 14, which is typically the last week of the regular season, and fantasy football right before your playoffs. So this is big guys. This could mean the difference of making the playoffs or not. So plan ahead Week 14, we've got the Ravens on bye, broncos, texans, colts, patriots, commanders Holy shit, I mean we got some fantasy starting. Listen, these quarterbacks you're going to have to have backups. You're missing Lamar. You're missing Knicks. You're missing Stroud. You're missing A-Rich Drake, may and Jaden Daniels. You're missing Derek Henry. You're missing Joe Mixon and Jonathan Taylor, ramond Drake all the commanders running backs. This is going to be rough guys. So plan ahead now. Hopefully these videos we've been sending can help you out. Hopefully we can help you out right now.
Speaker 1:All right, frankie, let's talk a little bit about the Thursday Thanksgiving Day preview. We got three games happening here. First game we did lunchtime you got to love this 1230 pm Eastern. We've got the four and seven Chicago Bears at the 10 and one Detroit Lions. Man, it's good to see a good team on Thanksgiving Day, isn't it? All those years of the Lions just sucking and getting beat up on Thanksgiving Day? Now they get to do a little stuffin' baby, get to bend them over like a turkey and stuff them. Let's go Stuff them.
Speaker 2:Stuff those Bears.
Speaker 1:Alright. What do we got baby? What's going on with fantasy here?
Speaker 2:John, for me man looking at the Bears, let's start with them. You're firing up DJ Moore. Hey, welcome back. Welcome back, dj Moore. It's been a little while I forgot how good you were. It's good to be back. Well done. You're firing his ass up. You're firing up Keenan Allen and, honestly, you're firing up Cole Komet. You're also firing up Swift and, honestly, man, if you're battling injuries and you need a Hail Mary even though we talked about Dontavian Wicks, battling injuries and you need a Hail Mary, even though we talked about Dontavian Wicks, we talked about Brandon Cooks, mcnichols right, if you need that Hail Mary, flex. An interesting option might be Roma Dunzey, and I say that because he's now had back-to-back weeks of 10 targets, even with DJ Moore doing his thing, even with Keenan Allen putting up over 20 fantasy points this past week. This is what's interesting is Roman Dunes is still garnering 10 targets in the last two games, a piece per game. So really, really good stuff.
Speaker 2:Now, flip side of this, let's look at the lines, man. So, first and foremost, amin Ross, st Brown and Monty John. You mentioned it, guys, it will not be on Fridays with Frankie, so you have to stay updated with what's going on here If Monty cannot go. Guys, jameer Gibbs Everybody already knows Gibbs is great, but just I want to reiterate Gibbs daily fantasy. You're starting Gibbs. You can get him right. If you've got him in normal fantasy, you should be expecting a mega game here. This is what it's about.
Speaker 2:Okay, flip side is Amin Ra, St Brown. We talked about that. Amin Ra, I think, is going to be okay and you're going to be firing him up. Just in case he's not, though, cleef Raymond is still banged up. So for those owners that have been sitting on J-Mo, fire him up. He automatically becomes a guaranteed start. Guys, 100% Don't think about it if Amin Ra cannot go and another flyer, tim Patrick.
Speaker 2:Tim Patrick could be another guy that you can get off the waivers and plug and play if something drastic happens Again. Right now things are trending in the right direction with Amin Ra, but just in case I wanted to call it out, guys, outside of that, you could also look to Laporta. Laporta has definitely had a down year, but here's what's interesting he had six targets last week and, yeah, he's been down because of Jamo, but he is their guy if other people are injured. We saw how well he did last Thanksgiving game. So for me, man, this is one for the books. I'm so excited to see this game and of course it's at 1230,. Firing up the turkey, you're digging into the stuffing and this is game one of the day.
Speaker 1:I love it, man, I love it. You think the Lions are going to take this one. You think they're going to do it with ease.
Speaker 2:Well, lions' line is minus 10.5, over-unders 48.5,. John, I'll tell you what. I'm definitely going to be leaning Lions here. I just think they've been so dominant. But what people don't see is go back and look at how many one score games the Bears have lost and look at how many heartbreaking games the Bears have lost. You flip that for three or four additional games. This now becomes what? Seven and four versus 10 and one, eight and three versus 10 and one. That's how close the Bears are. They're not that far from being or eclipsing that next tier and it's strictly because of you know, some crazy things happened to Jaden Daniels, hail Mary or some of the shit, with Caleb Williams just being a rookie. But guys, their defense is real. So again, 10 and one's a little bit rich for me, man, I think on a Thanksgiving day, but I love the Lions this week and look out for what could be fireworks for that over a 48.
Speaker 1:All right, let's jump to the afternoon here, 4.30 pm. Eastern Giants. The 2-9 New York football Giants are at the 4-7 Cowboys Dallas Cowboys here. All right, Frank, let's break it down. What do we got going on?
Speaker 2:John, I'm excited for this game. I know it's crazy and I'm not even being a dick or being goofy. I'm seriously excited for this game. There's actually some fantasy relevance here, and Cooper Rush looked good. So let's start with the Cowboys.
Speaker 2:Man, you're firing up Dowdle. I love it. Fire up Dowdle if you have the opportunity. And then, of course, schoonmaker, schoonmaker, whatever he's making, I'm firing him up. The Schoonman, schoonman, and so, dude, I'm loving those guys. That's about it Again. I mentioned even some of the Hail Marys. I think that there's better options than Brandon Cooks and some of the others. So I'm really just going with the tight end Dowdle and that of CD lamb when you need it.
Speaker 2:The giants, though, man, this is where I kind of get excited. I'm firing up neighbors, neighbors. Has this fire to him, man, and of course you're always firing them up. But what he said after that last game, when they were talking about, you know, the Tommy DeVito and like what's going on, like what's happening, and he called out it was the same shit that was going on with DJ at quarterback, daniel Jones. So whether it's a quarterback issue or whether it's something deeper, malik neighbors was kind of hitting that something. So I love this dude's fire. I love this dude's passion. I'm excited to see him go. So you're firing him up. It's a squeaky wheel.
Speaker 1:Squeaky wheel syndrome. Yeah, I mean, that's all we've seen. The coach even had to address Malik neighbors talking about it. So when the coach is talking about that and saying he's going to get them more targets, generally, guys, when we see that happen, and when that happens with a diva receiver, they do get the targets the next week and I think you're gonna see that. So, yeah, enjoy neighbors this week.
Speaker 2:It's gonna be fun. It's gonna be fun, john, and stay in the flames with the receivers guys. If you're in a deeper league and you need another good piece wandale robinson again check him out on uh, on daily fantasy. You might be able to get him for really, really cheap for that last flex spot again. If he's floating around that 4800 to to 5,300, boom, I'm probably popping him in and enjoying there, right, because you can get a lot of value. So I like Wandale Robinson in deeper leagues and our boy, tyrone Tracy, the rookie that we've been talking about, right, we've seen he had a big turnover in the last game and it was really gut-wrenching. But sometimes it's like sandpaper, right, and what I mean by that is it's really rough, it's really hard. You put it on some wood and it sucks, but after so long, sandpaper makes beautiful furniture and I think that's what's happening with Tyrone Tracy. Guys, we've seen the foundation there. I can see him start taking it to the next level once he gets this down a bit.
Speaker 2:John, the other call out is streaming option for tight end. Titans have been abysmal, right. They really have been terrible this year across the board. Look at Theo Johnson this week If you need a tight end. Yes, it's a little bit sketch. Yes, there were a couple of things going on and I think he even got. Maybe, and hopefully he's okay. I think there were rumblings that he got banged up, but if he is okay to play John, let's just. If he's healthy and he's able to rock and roll. Zach Ertz had eight targets and six receptions against the Cowboys last week. Tommy DeVito needs an outlet guy that he can dump it off to when Malik Neighbors is being double teamed. I can see Theo Johnson really being around that eight target, six reception mark very similar to that of Zach Ertz. So I really am excited about this Cowboys-Giants game.
Speaker 1:Who do you think is going to take this one buddy?
Speaker 2:This is tough, I'm going to go Cowboys.
Speaker 2:I'm going to go my Cowgirls here. I think that right now the line is minus three and a half. And again, guys, these are all opening lines. We're recording this on Tuesday, so we're checking things out. Cowboys are minus three and a half, over unders 37 and a half. Very low, that's pretty low man. So you know, I'll probably be taking the Cowboys minus three and a half and I might even, you know, throw a little bit of some some on that over 37 and a half too. John.
Speaker 1:That's surprising. That's indoors, indoors, you know, on Thursday it's just. Yeah, it seems low, seems pretty low to me. All right, let's keep moving on here. We've got the Thursday night game now, with the 5-6 Miami Dolphins at the 8-3 Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 2:All right, lay it out for us brother John, this one's easy, this one's easy. This is the game that everybody's excited about, I think across the board. I think of the Lions and Bears too, don't get me wrong, but this one's really bringing some heat. Let's start with Miami. Right, you're firing up A-chan, firing up Waddle, you're firing up Hill, you're firing up Janu Smith. I really think, across the board, those are the solid four that you need to be looking at. Now. Here's the thing Everybody's been talking about Tua.
Speaker 2:Tua's making the comeback. He looks phenomenal. What 312 yards, four touchdowns last week Beautiful. Where this gets sketchy is this is being played in Lambeau. We've seen, historically, Tua play when it's frigid cold and that boy's fingers shrivel up real tight and get all frozen up man and he can't throw the ball real well. So for me, just be cautious.
Speaker 2:Sign of caution here if Lambeau in that night game is going to be super frigid cold, you might need to prepare just in case for another streaming quarterback. Maybe you look at Minnesota. Sam Darnold's been looking really solid lately. Maybe you look at some of these other cats. Maybe you do if Cooper Rush is starting and you're a little bit nervous. I mean it's crazy to say that. I mean I probably wouldn't start Cooper Rush over Tua, but you could, knowing that the Giants are the defense that they're playing. But what I'm getting at is there might be other options and you want to consider those other options, depending on how cold it is in Lambeau.
Speaker 2:With that being said, let's transition to the Packers, the cheeseheads over here. You're firing up Josh Jacobs, as long as he's healthy. You're firing up Jaden Reed, especially with Romeo Dubs trending to being out. And, John, if I'm going to throw out another receiver I mentioned early on it, For me it's going to be Christian Watson. I think that that's going to be the guy that I would probably look to fire up. I think he gives you a little bit safer of a floor than that of Wicks, even though both of them are putting up zeros lately. But again, the other guy that I'm looking at no question about it is Tucker Kraft. So if you got an opportunity to start him, fire him up. And, of course, you're looking at Jordan Love.
Speaker 1:Just to let you know the weather right now it's looking like in Green Bay that evening is going to be around 30 degrees, so you know it doesn't look terrible you know, as long as there's not crazy weather, you know it doesn't look too bad.
Speaker 2:Tua could be nice. Tua could be nice in 30 degrees. You know, he could have a little cozy, little sweatshirt or something I don't know.
Speaker 1:All right, so the Packers are favored by three and a half over under 47 and a half. Love that, a lot of scoring in this game? Yeah, who do you think it's going to be buddy? I'm going packers I'm going packers.
Speaker 2:They're just rolling hot right now. I think that they're doing everything that needs to be done. Their defense has really been stepping up as well. Jordan love is finally getting healthy from the injuries that he's had earlier in the year, and I just think that this is a game that the Packers need to solidify. I mean, dude, the NFC is packed, which is crazy. I mean, just as much as the AFC is top heavy, the NFC is super top heavy with Philly, the Lions, Minnesota Packers I mean shit I just named three in the NFC North alone and so for me, man, I think that they're fighting for the number one spot, still with that of the Lions and the Minnesota Vikings. So for me, man, I'm taking Packers.
Speaker 1:How about three of the four teams in the NFC North playing on Thanksgiving Day, that's?
Speaker 2:interesting. How about that? I didn't even think about that.
Speaker 1:Very, very strange. Yeah, all right, sounds good man. Hey, frankie, let's get to our Hit it and Quit it thing. Ah, I love this song.
Speaker 2:I love this song.
Speaker 1:All right, let's get going here, frankie, hit it and quit it. What's happening?
Speaker 2:Who you got first. All right, johnny. Speaker 2:So with that being said, man, my first hit, it is going to be my hit it of the week. This is a guy that has been dominating john. It is bucky irving at carolina. Dude, what we are seeing from bucky is just excitement, it's passion. He's running harder than hell and you mentioned it and help me a little bit because I'm going to paraphrase but you said he has that something, john. It was like that quick step or that great acceleration, you know last week or the week before, but we're seeing it, man, we're seeing what he can do.
Speaker 2:Just to give you guys some insight, he's also now catching passes out of the backfield at a high rate, man. Last game he was targeted six times, caught six of those for 60 yards, and he also added 87 yards rushing with a touchdown. And again that's against a Giants defense who front four is actually pretty scary. So again he was able to do that and he's had back-to-back games with over 70 yards and a touchdown. So for me, man, fire up Bucky Irving, get him on DFS, get his ass on your team and get ready for a great start.
Speaker 1:Double digits in five of the last six games. Fantasy points yeah, bucky Irving's looking great man, I love that one. All right, let's go. All right, my first hit of the week. We talked about it. This is a Thursday. Hit it, baby.
Speaker 1:It's going to be Rico Dowdle running back for the Dallas Cowboys. They're playing the New York football giants in Dallas on Thanksgiving. Listen, the quarterback situation is uncertain, as well as CD's health, so these guys are a little bit banged up. They're going to have to lean on the run here. Last week, rico Dowdle had 19 carries for 86 yards. Love the 19 carries. He's getting the opportunity. The other thing that's really fun about Rico Dowdle he got 94% of the rushes last week. He is the guy. There is no one else out there. Give him all of the opportunities versus the New York Giants. Listen, this is Johnny's lock for a touchdown. Last week, new York Giants allowed four rushing touchdowns versus Tampa Bay by four different Tampa Bay players. I'm telling you, man, there are not four running backs in this Dallas backfield, it is Rico Dowdle. Put them in, lock them in and let's go baby.
Speaker 2:Love it man, love it Johnny. My hit at number two is going to be George or Jorge Pickens, and they are playing at Cincinnati this week. It is an AFC divisional game. There's a lot on the line for the Pittsburgh Steelers and for the Cincinnati Bengals. What we've seen is Russell Wilson not play great the last few weeks. However, to his credit, he's played against some damn good defenses. We saw what happened with Cleveland. Cleveland's defense came alive. Weather certainly played a part. You go to Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore Ravens defense held them to not even scoring a touchdown and yet they still lost. Being the Ravens, still lost.
Speaker 2:So for me, man, I'm really digging George Pickens this week. He's had 26 targets over the last three weeks, with 17 receptions, and he's had over 80 yards receiving in two of the last three weeks. And in addition, since he is giving up the 23rd most passing yards. A game, guys. We're seeing Joe Burrow put up five touchdowns and 300-plus yards and they're not winning. We're seeing him put up 400 yards passing and four touchdowns and they're still not winning. Guys, this is a game where the Cincinnati defense is struggling. These Steelers are going to have to keep up with Burrow. Lock in for my start, number two.
Speaker 1:All right, I'm going to go with my second hit here. It's going to be Chuba Hubbard versus Tampa Bay. All right, listen, chuba Hubbard, he's the running back 11 right now. The guy's just been an absolute stud this year, man. There's nothing you could say bad about him right now. Double digit fantasy points in nine of 11 weeks all season long Just the epitome of consistency here. Jonathan Brooks got me a little nervous. Bringing Jonathan Brooks back, jonathan Brooks only got five snaps last week, five snaps that he was on the field for. He did end up getting two carries, but I don't see that all of a sudden going to a 50-50 split here in this coming week. So I love Chuba Hubbard against Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay is 25th against the run. With what Chuba's been able to do this year, I think he's going to have a fantastic game. Fire him up, john.
Speaker 2:That's going to be so fun watching those two running backs. I'm calling out that of Bucky Irving, you're calling that out of Chuba Hubbard, watching them run all over each other. Man, it's going to be a blast, dude.
Speaker 1:Now, when you were going through your draft, you just said that, but it made me think of something. When we were talking draft strategies, we're looking at the big board. Did you even have these two guys, chuba Hubbard or Bucky Irving even on your mind whatsoever?
Speaker 2:None.
Speaker 1:Zero and.
Speaker 2:I'll be completely real with you.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and here we are going into week 13. And these are our starts of the week. Is Chuba Hubbard and Bucky Irving Just interesting how things shake out? You know, we need to look more at these lower guys that can be coming up and being studs in your league. These are two that can.
Speaker 2:John, and that's a good call out Guys. And that's a good call out Guys. Put that away, put that beautiful nugget of information John just said away. Put it in your pocket for the next draft. Sometimes, sometimes if you choose a zero RB strategy, it can play out well If you hit on the right guys we talk about that every draft year to where some maybe if you want to go receiver heavy up front right, maybe you want to go quarterback and then maybe one running back and then go hero rb strat off of that or whatever it may be, and then try to get some of these guys in the back end. What we're seeing is the rico dowdles of the world, the bucky irvings of the world, the chuba hubbards of the world tyrone tracy tyrone, tracy, jk dobbins, right prior to him getting hurt.
Speaker 2:There are some top tier guys that are that are not getting the love during the draft season because people are just seeing it or they are just not getting it. So get ready, guys. I know I'm talking too early, but get ready for us to prepare you on some awesome-ass shit this year and getting you ready for some of these deep sleepers that might not be deep sleepers heading into your week 13, 14, and next year. With that being said, I'm bringing it back around for my third hit it, john, and this is going to be Marvin Harrison Jr at the Minnesota Vikings. You might be thinking, frank, we already got him, probably got to start him, and it's been kind of miserable.
Speaker 2:Guys, I agree, it's been a rough year for Marvin Harrison, right, talking about the draft, you probably drafted him in round two. I was really high on him, john, I know you were really high on him. He's been kind of up and down. He's been more of a receiver two-ish, three-ish this year but he's still top 30, right, whatever it may be, this is the week that I feel good about. Last week he had six targets, three receptions, 47 yards at Seattle, but he hasn't had less than five targets in the last five weeks, which is a good thing for Marvin Harrison.
Speaker 2:So again, playing against a team in Minnesota that's giving up the 28th most passing yards, this could be an excellent shootout type of game. Arizona's defense has been really hit and miss. Minnesota's defense has been really hit and miss. Minnesota's defense has been phenomenal from the rushing perspective rush stop but been really bad at the pass stop. So for me, man, we could see a Sam Darnold, jj and Addison type of game versus that of a Kyler, marvin Harrison, michael Wilson type of game, and we could see it really provide some spark. So for me, man, I'm willing to go out on a limb here in those shallower 10-man leagues. I'm firing up Marvin Arison Jr.
Speaker 1:All right, we're going to stay right in that same game. Frankie, we don't even coordinate this and I love how it works out here. Yeah, I'm going to go. My final hit it of the week is going to be Jordan Addison, wide receiver for the Vikings playing at home against the Arizona Cardinals. Last week, jordan Addison was the wide receiver one. He was number one on the week last week. Guys, 27 points against a very good Chicago pass defense. Yes, he had 162 yards against Chicago last week. Eight and nine targets over the last two weeks, with three scores in the last four games.
Speaker 1:This is what you want. You want guys that are ascending. You want guys that are trending. Right now, jordan Addison is very much trending. People are trying to shut JJ down, which they did. I think he only had two catches last week, actually with JJ. So Jordan Addison is going to be the guy that's going to benefit from this. Now. He did so well against Chicago, but guess what? He's not playing Chicago this week. Guys, he's got Arizona. Arizona gives up the 14th most receiving yards. They give up an average of 151 yards per game to the receivers. Now, jordan Addison doesn't have to have all of that. Jj's going to get his, of course, but if they do take this approach, like they did last week with Chicago on JJ, if Arizona takes that same approach, then, yes, jordan Addison will eat and he's going to be delicious. Start up, jordan Addison. All right, frank, who are you quitting this week? Who do we not like?
Speaker 2:Johnny, my first quitted is going to be Javante Williams. Guys. Javante Williams is playing against the Cleveland Browns at home. He rushed last week. He rushed for negative. You ready for this Negative two yards?
Speaker 1:on eight carries. What does that even average to? Can you even do averages with negative? I don't even know, I'm not good at math.
Speaker 2:I feel like it's that meme of like Zach Galifianakis to where it's like all the pluses and minuses and he's like thinking I think it's dinner for schmuck, or whatever that movie. Shout out dinner for schmuck, great movie. But yeah, dude, that's exactly what I feel like. But, man, for me, javante, minus two yards on eight carries. He had four targets, two receptions for six yards. The other concerning thing is he's absolutely losing touches to Jaleel McLaughlin and Audrick Estime, the rookie out of Notre Dame. In addition, cleveland Browns are playing some damn good defense right now, or defensive ball right now, and what they were able to show against the Steelers and the prior teams, that outside of Taysom Hill, they've really been able to slow down that rushing attack.
Speaker 2:So for me, man, one other call out that I do want to say for Javante, guys, since week eight which they played against Carolina, he hasn't had, he's had four out of those five weeks, bleeding into week 13. He's had single digits in fantasy football and half PPR. And then it gets even worse than that, because the last game here, john, against that of the Vegas Raiders, which should be a shoo-in, he played 56% of the snap share, and in week 11, he played 52%. In week 10, he played 29%. John, this guy is losing snap share. Now again. He's kind of floated in the 60s for most of the year, but when you start dropping into the 50s and then you're even dropping into that 30, 29 range guys, they're incorporating another running back. So this is not the week. If you're making a playoff push to roll with Javante, I'm quitting him.
Speaker 1:Okay, all right, my first quit of the week. Listen, I like throwing out there and doing hot takes. I'm not going to tell you to quit, obvious, guys. All right, I want to get in. I want to see some some actual analysis here, let's. I want to sit somebody that you think that you should fire up and start every single week. I'm sitting this guy this week. I'm talking about, on Thanksgiving, deandre Swift running back for the Bears playing at Detroit. I'm quitting him this week. Frankie, I know we talked about it and said you could fire him up. We have no buys this week. We have no major running back injuries as far as some of the top players there.
Speaker 1:I don't think you need to start DeAndre Swift this week. Guys, I think you should look elsewhere. Roshon Johnson is a problem. He's vulturing touchdowns left and right from Swift on this Bears offense.
Speaker 1:Detroit, not the team you want to play against when you're running back man, especially with a shaky offense. Not like they're going to light him up in the air either, but I think the running game is going to struggle. Detroit is second against the run. Deandre Swift right now he's the running back 18. I just think it's going to be a tough game script for Swift unless he can get a lot of catches out of the backfield. But he really hasn't been doing a whole lot of that recently, so I'm really nervous about it. With the touchdowns being vultured with a great run defense trying to make the Lions are going to try to make this Bears offense one-dimensional. You shut that run down. Make Caleb try to beat you, because he hasn't done a whole lot of that this year and it's been very inconsistent from the passing game. So that's what I'm thinking. You gotta sit swift, baby Love it, john.
Speaker 2:John, my second quiddit is also a hot one, and yeah, I know I said Aaron Jones and I appreciate the TikTokers and the YouTubers that come out and gave me some shit, because you know what I appreciate it. But yes, I was wrong. I was wrong with Aaron Jones, but there was some data backing up why I said what I said. I'm going to go back to the well here, guys, and I'm going to sit Debo Samuel at Buffalo. Now again, debo Samuel's tough, because if Brock Purdy comes out, it's a different ball game.
Speaker 2:Debo Samuel could turn into the old guy that we used to see.
Speaker 2:But what's interesting, though, back-to-back weeks, sean of less than 25 yards receiving From your number one, really, really. In addition, that he had 67% snap share this past week. I would have thought that would have been much higher, getting him involved, not only because they were down, but also because of the fact that he can also be that hybrid role between that receiver running back mixed where he's seen him so thrive so well 67% snap share. And so what I'm getting at is, guys we've seen Brandon Allen now play a few times and with Kittle it's definitely his guy Jawan Jennings continuously stepping up and now CMC still being there taking away that rushing, basically floor for that of Debo. It's really hard and on top of it, buffalo is a top 14 defense against the pass and is giving eight or is eighth excuse me me in giving up receiver fantasy points, which means they have been stout. So for me, guys, I'm looking to sit Debo, samuel and looking elsewhere, even though it's a tough one. We'll see how it rides all right, all right.
Speaker 1:My last sit of the week here it's going to be Raheem Mostert running back for the Miami Dolphins Again playing Thursday night at Green Bay in the frozen tundra. Mostert's been a huge disappointment this year. I've got him in a couple of leagues. He was the running back two last year. I mean that's where he ended up finishing. It was bananas.
Speaker 1:Let me tell you an interesting stat about Raheem Mostert. He has not been a top 12 running back at all this year. Not one single week has he been a top 12 running back. That's bananas, man. I mean that's ridiculous.
Speaker 1:That stat made me kind of freak out and it made me wonder why he's still on my roster, why I'm trying to throw him out there sometimes. I know he's had less than one point in the last two games. Less than one point in the last two games. Each Double digits only twice this season. His snap percentage in the last four games. The guy's just not on the field. That's why you can't start him. It's not his talent, it's not the opportunity, it's not the offense, it's just he's not available. He's not there. Snap percentage 23%, 15, 15, 31. I mean it's just not able to get the opportunities they bring in Jalen Wright for a mix up a little bit as well. They just get too cute and they're not doing what they used to do. I don't know if it's a Mostert thing or if it's just a scheming and planning thing, but I'm sorry guys, he's not on the field, he's not involved in the offense. You gotta sit him.
Speaker 2:Tough John and that guy. I mean it's crazy what's going on with Mostert, because even when Tua was down, that's when you think that, oh, they're going to rely on A-Chain and Mostert, the tandem that we've seen, yeah, and it's just been abysmal man, it's just been rough.
Speaker 1:They're not even running him up the middle between the tackles, which is crazy. It's crazy.
Speaker 2:Which you know. That's an interesting call out, just for those also listening. We talk about our wins. We definitely talk about our losses. One of the things that I called out that you know is unfolding. It's incorrect, john, and I was not high on A-Chan going into this year. Right, that was the guy I said isn't on my board because of how well Mostert played, because they re-signed him and things like that man. I'll tell you what. I'll take that one on the chin because because HN has been an absolute blast to watch this year.
Speaker 1:He has. He has even with that bobblehead helmet. He's got a it's. It looks so much more funny on him just because he's a small guy. He's not a big guy. So he's just got this big bobblehead. He's running ahead head just bouncing around. I love it. It's great. All right, that is the episode for the day.
Speaker 1:Thank you so much for joining us and for listening, guys. I hope we got you excited and got you ready for the Thursday games. I hope we gave you some good insight. Again, we don't pick obvious guys. When we talk about our starts in Sith, we're not talking about 10-man leagues. We're diving a little deeper and giving you guys some guys that are maybe outside of the top 12, maybe outside of the top 24 when it comes to these starts and sits. So take it for what you will. I will tell you, yes, it's obviously the loudest when we're wrong about somebody, because it's the most fun for people to talk about online. But, guys, I'm telling you we're right a lot more than we're wrong. Trust me, oh yeah, oh yeah, frankie. What do we have coming up? Man?
