Speaker 2:Let's go All right, all right, all right, Welcome to the show. This is the Frankly Fantasy Football Podcast. We are your hosts, Frankie and Johnny. We are coming right in. Baby. It is the last week of the regular season in fantasy football. Holy shitballs man. Holy shit, it's rough man. And then we've got six buys in week 14, the last week of the season. Who created that? I don't know. Don't love it. We lost some asshole.
Speaker 2:We also lost six players for the rest of the year this week. Frank, it's gonna be rough guys. I know everybody's sitting there hanging on trying to get it winning in losing. There's so many of those situations right now High breakers with points, this is what we're all— how many scenarios in the five leagues you're in Frankie have you been going through, like we talked about with Zach Galifianakis, where he's got the things all over him from the hangover the things all over him.
Speaker 2:Yeah, the algorithms and all that shit. I know that you're going okay, if I win and these two guys lose, I'm in. What are the scenarios? What do you got going on? I know you have some crazy matrix.
Speaker 1:Johnny, boy, we got some crazy shit going on. So the first part is division winners. So for those listening and watching, we actually do $100 back to both the division winners. So that's a nice little. You know, you get your money back because we do a hundred dollar leagues. So that's really fun. John, we got some neck and neck uh races coming down for this week. Let's go decide the division winners and, of course, of course, most points, which we also give out another hundred bucks for the most points, and, dude, that's down to like five people in two leagues. So, oh yeah, man, we're stack ranking, we're trying to figure out who's matched up against who with these 14-week buys. I mean, dude, it's going to be crazy man. So can't wait.
Speaker 2:It's so exciting it is. It is you still alive. In most of your leagues you still good, you know.
Speaker 1:let me do a little shoulder shrug here For those that are just listening and can't see. I'm really. You know, just did some trap workouts. You know a baby, I'm in in four out of the five leagues. John, you know the fifth one I lost this past week. Salute to my brother-in-law took me out. Fair enough, tyler Bischoff, but you know what man? Had I won that, I would have been in all five leagues. I would have been in all five playoffs. So I'll take four out of five. I'll take a little 80%-ish. What about you, brother? I know we're. I don't want to give it away, but talk to me a little bit. What do we get? What do you got going on.
Speaker 2:I've had the toughest fantasy year I've ever had. I do have to admit there's been some leagues we've talked about it before where I just got absolutely slaughtered with some of these injuries. But I'm looking good in two leagues the league you and I are in, the Battle of the Brands Shout out to the other podcasts that we're in this league with. We're holding strong man. We're at the three seed. We're looking good. We're in the playoffs. We're already in. But, my God man, have you ever seen a team lose so many players in your entire life?
Speaker 1:We just lost two three more this past week. Let's talk about it for a second. So we lost Taysom Hill, we lost Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 2:Guys, this is a 14-man, super, flex, super flex, one running back, one receiver, seven flexes, that's all of it. That's how we do it.
Speaker 1:So Taysom Hill's gone, trevor Lawrence is gone, we lost Rasheed Rice JK.
Speaker 2:Dobbins we lost.
Speaker 1:Hollywood Brown, jk Dobbins.
Speaker 2:Brandon Ayuk.
Speaker 1:Brandon Ayuk and a few others. John and we are. We made it bitch, we're here.
Speaker 2:That's right. As gladiators, you do not mess with, frankly, fantasy football, let's go Now. We do have very low points. We have manufactured wins. It's only because we're good at this shit and crafting teams and putting stuff together. That's the only reason we're even in. We have no business competing in these playoffs.
Speaker 1:We may or may not have 300 points less than everybody else, but it doesn't matter, because we're in.
Speaker 2:We're in, baby. All that matters is width. All you got to do. If you get in, you got a chance. How many times do you see these guys in your leagues dominate all season long and then just take a shit the first week of the playoffs?
Speaker 1:All the time.
Speaker 2:Shout out to Sean Hickey, my brother.
Speaker 1:Slip Dick. Slip Dick has been Sl slipped dick a few times.
Speaker 2:That's right, that's right, yeah, call, sign slip dick, sean let's. He's got quite the reputation as a. Only one person could change that, brother, and that's you. Man, that's all right. Welcome to the show. Thank you so much for joining us. Everybody, please follow us on social media. We're everywhere.
Speaker 2:Our clips are going around. We take hot takes on this show. We're not afraid to say to sit or start a guy that is a little controversial. We always back it up with info. But, man, those clips, I love getting people riled up and fired up. You know I love when the clip comes out, frankie, right before the game, and it's me saying some shit that is hardcore, taking a big stand on something. And I'm watching the game going. God, I hope this comes true. I'm watching the game going. God, I hope this comes true. I'm going to get murdered on social media, and you know what? Most of the time it comes true, so that's great. The ones that don't, those are always fun. I love all the comments. Yeah, bring it to me, it's all right, you know, hey, we're, we're like um. You know, we're like economists. We're paid to get half the shit we talk about wrong.
Speaker 2:That's you know, that's just how it is John.
Speaker 1:My goal is for us to be Dick Goddards of the world, like we're just reporting. You know the weather at this point, but you know who Dick Goddard is, baby, and we're going to be the biggest dicks you've ever seen.
Speaker 2:Oh there, that's a good one Okay.
Speaker 1:Good transition Come on.
Speaker 2:Good transition. Frankie's the king of transitions. All right, guys, Today we're going to be talking. Let's get into some actual shit here. Let's talk about some real football. Okay, Today we're going to preview a wonderful Thursday night football matchup. Can't wait for that one. We've also got your hit-its and quit-its. These aren't going to be obvious, guys. These are going to be some second-tier guys or some people that you may need this week. Looking at week 14, 16s on by.
Speaker 1:But first, and foremost, we're getting to the news baby the season, 1,000 yards, don't expect, absolutely lost. Flip out News and notes.
Speaker 2:All right, before we get to the news, guys, if you like everything we're talking about, please subscribe on YouTube. We know you guys listen and everything while you're going for walks and working out. Please subscribe to the YouTube channel. We just hit a huge milestone of 5,000 subscribers. Thank you so much, guys. I know it doesn't seem like much, but for a podcast and a fantasy football podcast so niche, it's been huge and it's been wonderful. So thank you, guys, so much.
Speaker 2:All right, let's get to some news here. Man Roshan, we're going to start with some Thursday news from Thanksgiving here. Roshan Johnson, running back for the Bears, left Thursday with a concussion Monitor his status. If he does not go, deandre Swift gets a bump because he won't have that touchdown. Vulture sitting there waiting for him in the goal line. Ceedee Lamb, wide receiver for the Cowboys, re for him in the goal line. Ceedee Lamb, wide receiver for the Cowboys, re-entered his shoulder. Should be good to go, but keep an eye on that. Nothing worse than a last-minute inactive for CeeDee Lamb. All right, let's do some Bears news here. Frankie Matt Eberflus, head coach for the Chicago Bears, has been fired. I'm going to go ahead and say you agree with this move, frank? What are your thoughts on Matt Eberflus being fired here?
Speaker 1:I'll tell you what man. It's always tough seeing a head coach get fired. It just is what it is, but totally agree with this man. They fired everybody everybody around him, man for over the last few years. And then what happened in this past week's game with the non-using of the timeout, the terrible clock management not setting up or giving Caleb Williams the heads up, or whatever it may be it was a monumental mistake. Unfortunately, matt, you gotta go, brother. So I definitely think it was the right move get somebody else in that knows what they're doing and rock and roll with the team that you got.
Speaker 2:Can I show you a difference though? Because the same, very similar situation happened with the Steelers that are at the end of their game. Very, very similar situation. But you know what the difference was? Mike Tomlin ran down to the ref, called the fucking timeout, because that's what a good coach does and that's what Mike Tomlin did. So I mean, it happens, man, it happens, but with the talent on this team, it's going to be a beautiful job for somebody to come in next year, kind of be a Caleb Williams whisperer and get this talent going on this team. So it'll be exciting.
Speaker 1:Yeah, john, and to that point, man, I'm telling you, man, like there's two rooms of thought here. One is you wait to call the timeout, you call a quick play at the line, you get, you know, you figure out okay where are you standing. Are you fourth down in some change? Are you first down and now you can call a timeout, or are you getting out of bounds and you save the timeout? Love that room of thought. The other is you call a timeout immediately, at 32 seconds and you figure it out from that point. Right, and the worst part was he did neither.
Speaker 2:So now, listen, that's why you can blame it on Caleb, all you want. You can say it was a miscommunication or whatever. When that clock gets down to 10 seconds 15 seconds, john, it doesn't matter. Once it gets down to 10 and you realize, oh shit, we're going to miss this play, that's where the timeout comes in. I mean, there's too many guys, too many coaches, too many people with headsets on to not know that there was a timeout there to be able to use it. So, no excuses. Sorry, you had to go.
Speaker 2:Not the only reason he had to go, though, I think it was just the icing on the cake man. All right, we've got some injuries here on the cake man. All right, we've got some injuries here. Oh God, frankie, we're going to have to pull out the bell. We're going to have to pull out the bell. We've got some doom and gloom here. Guys, your CMC update, which will be your final CMC update of the fantasy football season. Cmc is out with a PCL injury. He is going to miss the rest of the fantasy season anyway. I don't know what the exact situation is, but he gone Ring the bell.
Speaker 1:It's a good thing we have Jordan Mason right John.
Speaker 2:Yeah, the owners who have Jordan Mason sitting on their bench, aren't you lucky? Oh shit, hold on Wait. Breaking news Jordan Mason, the backup running back for CMC, is officially on IR with a high ankle sprain. He left the same game. Okay, two running backs gone. Isaac Garendo Okay, are we just unloading, opening the coffers and unloading everything you've got for Isaac Garendo?
Speaker 1:This is me spinning my checkbook. You have a checkbook In ready.
Speaker 2:You have a checkbook in 2024.
Speaker 1:You have a checkbook.
Speaker 2:I have a checkbook. You do, I do Come on, I'm the guy who's in his forties. I should not be making fun of you for having a checkbook.
Speaker 1:Wow, look at that, so you get. You know what I feel like you should be getting out the checkbook for Isaac Gwinder or Grendo. You know what I feel like you should be getting out the checkbook for Isaac Gwendo or Grendo, thank you. And then we put on the like I feel like it should be a luchador mask.
Speaker 2:I just feel like that name, isaac Grendo, should be like a luchador mask. Do you know why you feel that way? I don't. I know why that's in your head. Tell me Eddie, uh, eddie Guerrero the wrestler. That's why that's in your head. Eddie Guerrero the wrestler had the mask the Nacho Libre mask. Good God, that's why you think what was the video game? It was, uh, there was a video game, the wrestling, like the.
Speaker 1:WWE. Yeah, like the.
Speaker 2:Royal rumble, where you could be all those guys and just be in the ring or something.
Speaker 2:Yeah, something like that no-transcript and a Kyle Shanahan system. He's going to get volume, he's going to get opportunity. Not sure what he's going to do with that, but if he's available, he's a guy that you're going to be rolling out, especially this week with all these buys going on. All right, let's keep going here. Jk Dobbins ring the bell. Frank, it's over. Jk Dobbins is on IR. Austin Echler we got another bell coming out here Austin Echler on IR for the rest of the year. However, that does bode well for Bryan Robinson.
Speaker 1:I'm going to tell you People are going to say it's Nicholas or Nichols McNichols.
Speaker 2:Jerry McNichols.
Speaker 2:I'm going to tell you, it's Rodriguez, chris Rodriguez, he had a good game, just saying, yeah, those are two guys. We're going to be looking at that for next week to see what we're going to do here. But yeah, that's a backfield. That's going to be very, very interesting after this injury, for sure. All right, ring the bell Last bell, hopefully for the day, man, but no, actually it's not the last bell.
Speaker 2:Damn Taysom Hill. Quarterback running back, tight end, whatever the hell you want to call him the tax prep guy. Everything For the New Orleans Saints it is a torn ACL. He is out the rest of the year. Now, this guy, 34 years old, I think he is something like that. This could be the last time we may have seen Taysom Hill on the field. Man, quite honestly, could be. Yeah, yeah, also on our team, frank, that's a guy that we lost. So that's awesome. Guess we didn't need him, right? Yeah, another one. Last one here Trevor Lawrence, out for the foreseeable future. We don't have a timeline on that yet. I think they're just trying to get him to get his brains unscrambled at the moment until they figure out what the hell's going on, but certainly going to be a week, probably a couple. It's probably done for the rest of the year.
Speaker 1:To be perfectly honest, yeah, what do you think about that hit break that hit down for me, I mean john, like right, I was a defensive back played division. One understand that it's really hard to slow down when you're going in for a tackle, completely understand that. However, when a quarterback completely gives himself up two yards in front of you and you decide to launch and then you decide to make contact at the head and neck area and you decide to knock him out like you're an asshole, like you're an asshole and whether you don't mean to be or not, it was an asshole move and so it was tough, man. It was tough because it definitely jarred the, the jags, a bit, even though mac jones came in and played really well. Shout out to mac jones like you totally came in and sufficed and really made adjustments necessary. But from Aziz, who was the linebacker that hit him, from the Houston Texans man, that was a rough hit.
Speaker 1:So yeah, he's expelled. He's in detention for three weeks at this point, john, so he's not going to be able to play at this point for the next three weeks. But yeah, it was a tough hit. It's not great for the NFL.
Speaker 2:No, it's not. It's not great for the team. I mean it would have been. So I agree with you. I'm of two minds. I have a little bit of cognitive dissonance going on with it. I play defensive as well. I understand that it is really difficult to be able to pull up like that when you're already launched in the air. You've got so much momentum going. You weigh 200 pounds, you can't just stop on a dime. He did leave with his forearm right in the face. That was a little unnecessary, but I think what would have been a different story. He got up and wanted to fight the world about it.
Speaker 2:If he would have got up and I understand that he you know his team's protecting Lawrence and they came up push him down. He could have got up and just did one of these, you know, like he was sorry or something. Now he fought everybody for the next half hour after the fight and then, while the fight's going on, you see Lawrence dead on the ground. That was the weirdest thing I've ever seen, man, it really was. Then we had the Ohio state fight. I mean, what was going on? But this is it feels like this is the. This is the reaction. It's the opposite of what we had when Trump got elected the first time, when you had the women with the pussy hats, the women's March, all this stuff. Now it's like Trump gets elected this time. All the men just want to fight people, like everybody just wants to fight everybody, or something. Man, these weren't the riots I was expecting after the election. I didn't think it was going to happen in the middle of the football field. But hey, I digress. All right, let's keep rolling here with the news. We got a bunch of it. Ladd McConkie, wide receiver for the Los Angeles Chargers, left the game with a knee injury. They're going to see if he can get going on it and get on the practice field this week. So I haven't really heard how serious it is. If you've got him, he has been playing well. He had a monster game last week Monster game, monster game last week. I think. He had like nine catches and 117, something like that. Boom nailed it, yeah. So monitor that Might get an update with Fridays with Frankie on that as well.
Speaker 2:John Harbaugh, let's talk a little bit about the Ravens here. John Harbaugh on Deontay Johnson Frankie, I know you and I have been discussing this, trying to figure out what in the hell is going on with this trade, but Deontay Johnson didn't see a snap. Last week John Harbaugh, head coach of the Ravens, said his quote was at this time I'm going to have to wait. There are moving parts we're going to have to figure out and explore. I don't know what that means. I don't know why you don't just say, hey, we really want to get Deontay involved and it's just a matter of, you know, getting him in there and getting him comfortable and us comfortable. It could have said something just ambiguous like that. He did it. What the hell is happening here? There's clearly some personal shit going on.
Speaker 1:John, I think the same thing. I think that Deontay Johnson and you know, we saw it at Pittsburgh, we saw it at the Panthers there's some aspect of him that's a little bit of a head case.
Speaker 1:Whether we all want to believe it, or whether we don't. There is something there. And so for me, man, you're going to a Ravens organization that, candidly speaking and I'm wrong I was wrong on it and I will outright say that I thought that this would be a huge move for Deontay. Yeah, I thought that this would be a huge move for Deontay. I thought it was Zay Flowers and Rashad Bateman and Mark Andrews. He was going to be that missing piece in the passing offense or the attack.
Speaker 1:John, I couldn't have been more wrong. I mean, this dude has been abysmal. He's been gone. He hasn't even been a part of this, or even a figment of an imagination of this offense. And so for me, man, I think that there's something you know, going on to your point from a personal perspective of maybe he's a bit of a head case and this is what's going on. And so, for me, man, I mean, we saw Deontay Johnson, his route running's great, his catch ability is pretty damn good and his ability to get open is is really solid. But for him not to find a spot on a top-tier team that could absolutely use him in a playoff push, especially with injuries, that's a problem. And so for me, man. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see how this unfolds.
Speaker 2:I think he banged the offensive coordinator's wife or something.
Speaker 1:That's the only thing that makes sense to me. I can't figure it out.
Speaker 2:Speaking of. We've got Rashad Bateman, wide receiver for the Ravens, left the game with a knee injury as well. It's not considered serious. They are on a bye next week. So we'll have some news about the Ravens receiving core next week. Baker Mayfield, quarterback for the Bucs, left the game with an ankle injury. He came back. Should be good to go this week. Keep an eye on that. Baker's been playing out of his goddamn mind. Gotta love Baker man B Baker's been playing out of his goddamn mind. Gotta love Baker man.
Speaker 2:Bucky Irving let's stay with the Bucks for a second left the game with a hip injury. This one has serious implications here, so keep an eye on this. I haven't had any good reports yet as what he's doing. He says he's good to go, but we're gonna have to monitor that. Maybe Frankie can give us an update on Friday as well. Dk Metcalf left the game. Looked really, really bad. He tried to get up, couldn't get up, needed two guys to help him off the field. Then he came back and said he tweaked his knee, but should be okay. Looked more than a tweak to me I am a DK owner, but apparently everything's fine. Maybe he was just worried that something did pop and he didn't want to hurt it further. I don't know, but apparently DK should be all right, but monitor that.
Speaker 2:Let's go over to the Eagles here a little bit. We got some injuries. Dallas Goddard tied in for the Eagles. He's week to week with a knee injury. When you hear week to week, that means almost definitely missing this week, maybe next as well. So keep an eye there.
Speaker 2:Devonta Smith really don't have any new news on him. He missed last week dealing with a hamstring injury. He's still dealing with the hamstring, but monitor that. Haven't seen if he's going to be practicing yet this week, but keep an eye on that. He was in warmups before the game and I think he just couldn't go, but it looked like he was close. So keep an eye there. Hopefully we can get him into the lineup.
Speaker 2:Last guy Romeo Dubs Limited practice on Monday. I want to bring this up because they play on Thursday. He had a concussion so he could play because it is Thursday. It's still a little iffy. You're going to have to see if he ends up practicing on Wednesday. All right, I'd like to end the news with some good news. Frankie, of all the bell ringing and all these guys being lost, let's give it up for some James Conner money here. Yeah, there we go, james Conner running back to the Arizona Cardinals Two-year extension worth $19 million. Good for you, man. He is the heart and soul of that offense and that team and they're showing it to him with some love here.
Speaker 2:All right, now, before we get into Thursday night, the week 14 buys. We talked about it last week, guys, hopefully you did make plans for streaming your quarterbacks, your tight ends, your defenses. We tried to help you out there, give you some ideas. We'll give you a few more this week as well, but we've got the Ravens gone. Broncos, texans, colts, patriots and Commanders all on a bye this week, the last week of the season before the playoffs here. All right, man, let's go to the Thursday night preview. Let's do this. All right, thursday night. I am so excited for this game, man. We have the 9-3 Green Bay Packers at Motown with the 11-1 Detroit Lions. Man, hey, detroit's favored by three and a half over under a 51 and a half points. Oh, I'm going to have some lineups in. I'm going to have some parlays going. This one's going to be a blast. Baby Frankie, let's talk about some fantasy here. All right, talk to me about the Packers brother. What are we doing with the Packers on Thursday night? John Packers.
Speaker 1:Thursday night massive game in the NFC, absolutely huge and critical for playoff push. Here's what we're doing, guys. We're firing up Josh Jacobs. You know that. I know that. Let's be real with ourselves.
Speaker 1:Number two, jaden Reed, is 100%, a percent, a must start, guys. He is the guy that that Jordan Love is looking at, especially in the end zone, especially in the red zone. That is his guy, john. I'm also firing up Tucker Kraft. Kraft has been very, very solid. Again. We've talked about outside of maybe three tight ends.
Speaker 1:Tight ends have been terrible this year from a fantasy output. So to have a Tucker Kraft guy to where you can rely on borderline as a streaming option, as a true start this week, especially with the bye weeks, fire him up, don't overthink it. And then, of course, if you're thinking about, hey, there's a lot of shit going on, I got the Ravens, maybe you got Zay Flowers, maybe you got, you know, cortland Sutton, maybe you got Nico Collins, again, the Colts Patriots Commanders as well, they're all on by. If you need someone to play against a Lions defense, look at Watson, guys. Christian Watson is someone that has really been someone that's been fairly consistent with a high floor. Sure, he's had a couple of goose eggs Fair, I'm admitting it, but for the most part, guys, he has been right around that seven to nine point range. Again, if you're looking to make a push into the playoffs and you need more of a higher floor kind of guy, I'm definitely leaning more towards Christian Watson and what should be a shootout against that of the Lions, now flip it Lions side.
Speaker 1:Super easy, guys. This is no-brainer. You're starting everybody, and who do I mean by that? Monty Gibbs, sonic and Knuckles. You're firing up Amin Ra. You're firing up Sam Laporta baby, welcome back. You're firing up Jared Goff baby Welcome back. You're firing up Jared Goff and John. For me, again, if you need a better flex position than what you might have because of bye weeks, and maybe even better than Christian Watson, and you want somebody with a higher ceiling, again Christian Watson, more of a floor the ceiling play Jamison Williams, guys. So if you're looking, if you're playing against somebody to where you know they have a better squad, you know they have a little bit more talent, maybe you have some more guys on that bye week, play a higher ceiling. Don't play to lose with a lower floor or higher floor, excuse me, play for a higher ceiling, play, and that could be JMO this week.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and don't be afraid to look for. Look for dubs as well, I think he's a little-.
Speaker 2:If he plays yeah, if he's going to come out and play he is more involved. He's more of a possession receiver than Christian Watson. He gets a couple of more targets per game. So you could look at that. If you're desperate, you need a flex because of the buys, watson or dubs, Otherwise everybody else needs to be played. Man, you're exactly right. This is going to be a super, super fun game. What do you think is going to happen here?
Speaker 1:Oh, john, I think that this is going to be a fucking shootout. I think that this is going to be. I think that over 51 is definitely I wouldn't say definitely, I would say in my personal opinion it's going to hit and I can see this totally being a lion's win knowing that it's indoors, and I can see this totally being a Lions win knowing that it's indoors. That's the other big thing here, guys, when you're looking at over-unders, be thinking about the weather this time of year, right, and you have to factor that in. And so for me, man, knowing it's indoors, knowing Detroit's at home, knowing that the Eagles are breathing down their neck for that number one seed, I think Lions outlast some a little bit. So I would take lines minus three over, minus three and a half, so maybe by that point, but I like the over.
Speaker 2:All right. Have you seen the Jim Gaffigan video that's going around on Instagram or something? He's a football therapist, for a football fan therapist and it's all these teams coming in and he sits down with them and just kind of tells them the truth about what's going on. Sits down, the guy's wearing a bear's uniform or a bear's sweater sits down and he goes okay, so you know, you're in the NFC North, right? He says yeah, yeah, he goes. Okay, what teams are in the NFC North, sir? He goes well, the Packers, the Lions and the Vikings. He goes okay, you're not going to make the playoffs. He goes no, I'm not going to make the playoffs. Like he realized the illusion of maybe making the playoffs in the NFC North. No, you're in the NFC North, brother, it's not happening. Yeah, it's great.
Speaker 1:Not happening at this point in time.
Speaker 2:No, hey, let's get to our Hittites and Quiddites. How do you feel about that? All right, nothing better than this song for H. Let's go to your first hit it. Who is that going to be?
Speaker 1:Guys, my first hit it is a must hit it and this might be something that you want to pepper a little bit on a little prop bet. And how would you do that? Speaker 1:So, with that being said, john, my hit it, my hit it of the week is going to be Drake, london at Minnesota. And again, this is for those 10-man leagues and you're in a 12-man, a 14-man, with bye weeks. You're like, well, no shit, frank. Of course, guys, for those 8-10-man leagues, to where you're really nitpicking and deciding on this week 14, to get you into the playoff, you got to go Drake London. Here's why, guys, they're going to need to throw the ball in order to keep up with Minnesota. Minnesota's offense is too high-powered, especially against Atlanta's defense, to where they're going to put up points, which is a great game script for that of Drake London. In addition to that, john, let's say, kirk Cousins goes downhill, like we've saw the last three weeks. They put in Michael Penix Jr.
Speaker 1:Guess who's he's going to be targeting their number one guy. It's going to be Drake London. In addition to this, guys, when you look at, okay, well, what has been the last few weeks? I'll tell you Last week alone, he's had 16 targets and over the last three weeks, he's had 36 targets. What does that equate to? About 12 targets a week. That is huge, guys. Huge. That is also 20 receptions in the last three weeks and 244 yards receiving. Guys, if there is a guy that you have the ability to start, it is Drake London this week against Minnesota, who ranks 30th against the pass. Fire up Drake Lennon and enjoy.
Speaker 2:I love it, man. He's the wide receiver. Six right now in half-point PPR 16 targets, seven targets. He's been slept on man 13 targets. I mean, yeah, it's beautiful, beautiful Love that start, frankie.
Speaker 2:All right, let's go to my first hit of the week here. I'm hitting Calvin Ridley versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. Let's go. Calvin Ridley, the Titan himself. Now I know he had a rough day last week connecting with Will Levis. There was just a connection issue there, but the opportunity is there. At least six targets in 10 of his last 12 games. That is consistently being the man is what I'm talking about. Right there. Jacksonville not so good against wide receivers here, guys, and they're also going to struggle to move the ball with Trevor Lawrence going down. The last four games for Jacksonville you had Devontae Smith, jj Aminrah, st Brown, nico Collins. They all had their way with this Jacksonville defense. Now, I'm not saying Calvin Ridley is necessarily one of those guys, but he's right there, man. You know the talent that he's got and when he's given this kind of opportunity with this bad of a defense, calvin Ridley going to eat stardom.
Speaker 1:John. You know what? That reminds me of A little bit of DFS there. Man, I think last week you were able to get him around 56 to 5,800 guys for those playing DFS. Holla, that is something that's really good Guys, 56 to 5,800. You can get a steal in daily fantasy. So if you're looking at a nice little play and he's, calvin Ridley, sitting around that kind of number there, john, love it. Man for DFS as well. All right guys.
Speaker 1:So my second hit it is going to be Jacoby Myers, for that of the Las Vegas Raiders at Tampa Bay. Here's the reason why Tampa Bay has been absolutely terrible against the pass. Right now they fluctuate anywhere between the 29th and 31st worst in the NFL against the pass this particular year. In addition, aiden O'Connell actually looked pretty damn good last week. He had over 300 yards and Myers and Brock Bowers were pretty much the main recipients of this. To the tune of, jacoby had 11 targets, 6 receptions, 97 yards against a great defense in the Kansas City Chiefs. So now you're saying, okay, he's doing that against the Chiefs. What is he going to do against Tampa Bay in a team that's been terrible against the past? Guys, this is Aiden O'Connell's week. This is Jacoby Myers' week. Fire up Jacoby Myers to get you into the playoffs.
Speaker 2:Again, you love these target monsters, man. Look at Jacoby Myers week. Fire up Jacoby Myers to get you into the playoffs. Again, you love these target monsters, man. Look at Jacoby Myers targets over the last four or five games 11, 15, 6, 11, 7, 9, 10, 9.
Speaker 2:I mean this is all season long man, he's an absolute target monster. So, yeah, love it, baby. All right, let's get to my second hit it of the week here. Guys, this is a guy I haven't given a lot of love to this year. I'm not going to lie. However, with all of these running backs gone on buys this week and the matchup running back number 14 at the moment, Very, very sneaky, sneaking up into the running back one realm Top 10 running back in each of his last four games, that's nice. Double-digit fantasy points in eight of the last nine games. He's extremely. He's crazy. Yeah, I mean, he's really, really involved in the passing game as well. Running backs are just eating, eating against this Dallas team. This is the team you can run against and with Chase Brown being involved with the targets, he's getting five, six targets out of the backfield as well. You've got to fire him up, man. With the way this offense has been playing, chase Brown has been a very important piece of that. Enjoy. This offense has been playing.
Speaker 1:Chase Brown has been a very important piece of that. Enjoy, john, and Chase Brown too. Man, what people need to understand is there's not anybody behind him. Yeah, they signed Cleo Herberg and you would think, oh yeah, cleo Herberg's done pretty well. Actually, he hasn't gotten the ball at all. He's gotten one touch last week for 14 yards, and prior to that, john, he hasn't touched the ball once since he's been traded.
Speaker 1:So for me, man, it is Chase Brown and Chase Brown alone. And, to your point, he's on an offense right now that is throwing up prolific numbers, joe Burrow. What he's doing is something that's beautiful. He's on pace for like 4,700 yards, over 40 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Guys, you also had the triple crown potential winner in Jamar Chase there as well. Then to add Chase Brown to that is running back number 14.
Speaker 1:And, john, you mentioned man. You mentioned the fact that it's been eight out of the last nine games at double digit points. I don't even think that does it justice enough, because when you look back at last game against the Steelers top tier defense 18.5 points. You look before the bye week against the top tier Chargers defense 16.8 points, and these are all in half PPR guys. Then you have the Baltimore Ravens at 17,. Las Vegas at 25. You have Philly at 10. You have Giants at 12. Guys, chase Brown is going nuts, john, love it. Dude. Just wanted to add a little bit of cherry on top for you, man, because I'm so pumped about this guy.
Speaker 2:In order to be a top 12 running back, you have to be involved in the passing game. You have to get those points. That's all there is to it. We've seen all of the data enough to know. Just the last couple of games with Chase Brown three for 30, five for 57, nine for 52, five for 37. Your running back, your number one running back, is getting that kind of play out of the backfield. That's beautiful man, and I think that's going to continue this week against a shit Dallas defense right now.
Speaker 1:Love it, man, john. My third hit it, guys. I'm actually going to go into the tight end realm. Knowing of all the bye weeks, knowing Taysom Hill is gone. You might be sitting there being like what do I do? Well, if you got TJ Hawkinson, guys, you start TJ Hawkinson this week, and here's why Last four weeks he's had over six targets in three of those weeks and in that span he's had 200 yards. Guys, you heard me correct when I say a tight end. In the span of the last four weeks he's had over 200 yards. Yes, he's still looking for his first tight end of the season. But here's what's interesting In order for Atlanta to keep up with Minnesota right, I talked about it with Drake London Atlanta's going to need to throw the ball.
Speaker 1:But where has Minnesota been? Very good, and it has been through Sam Darnold. Yes, they set the tone with Aaron Jones, but then Sam Darnold distributes the ball, whether it be to JJ Jordan Addison, which we've seen been phenomenal in the last few weeks, and now TJ Hawkinson. So for me, guys, when you're looking at a team that TJ Hawkinson is playing, atlanta ranks 22nd worst in passing yards as well. So this should be a really solid matchup for him, especially a guy who's had, again, as I mentioned, six targets in three out of the last four weeks. Fire up Hawkinson and enjoy baby.
Speaker 2:All right, I'm going to try to give you a little bit of help here, guys. You've got Lamar Jackson gone, you've got Jaden Daniels gone, you got Bo Nix gone and you got CJ Stroud all ona bye this week. Who do I think you should play in place of that? Frankie, you're the transition king man, because you just talked a little bit about him. It's Sam Darnold, guys.
Speaker 2:Quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings versus Atlanta. They're playing at home this week. Sam Darnold's the quarterback eight. Currently he's averaging over 18 points per game. He's had multiple touchdowns in five of his last six games. He's been on fire recently. He's passed for over 235 yards in each of those games. So you give me 235 and a couple of touchdowns. That's not a streamer, guys, that's a starting quarterback. You know what I'm saying. Atlanta oh, I love my quarterback playing against Atlanta. Baby, atlanta is giving up the second most fantasy points to a QB over the last four weeks. When you've got a team trending and letting quarterbacks score a lot of points with a quarterback coming in trending, quarterbacks score a lot of points With a quarterback coming in trending, then scoring a lot of points, that's a wonderful, wonderful sandwich that I'm going to take a big bite of Start, sam Darnold. All right, frankie, who are you quitting this week? So, john, we've been all over.
Speaker 1:We've had quite a few different quiddits, we've had quite a few different hittits, but there's one guy that we seem to rotate man between hitting and quitting, and I'm telling you this is a week to quit him, guys. It's Chuba Hubbard. Chuba Hubbard has been very fascinating from a fantasy perspective. In half PPR he's running back 13. You would say, why the hell am I looking to quit him? It's because of a few things. Number one is welcome to Jonathan Brooks' return. What we're starting to see is things dwindle slightly for that of Chuba Hubbard and now certain opportunities are opening up for Jonathan Brooks. In addition, chuba Hubbard had only 12 rushes last week, 12 total touches last week for 43 yards, where that of Jonathan Brooks had nine touches. Guys, we're only talking a three-touch difference. Now there's a lot of touching happening all over the place, okay.
Speaker 1:So then the other key item is they're playing at Philly. For those of you who maybe haven't watched a lot of football or maybe you have and you just haven't seen Philly they might be the hottest team in the NFL right now and, dare I say, they're chasing the Lions for the number one overall seed. And when you go into Philly and you are playing against a being Philly and you're playing against a very down team in that of Carolina, I am wanting to put the boot on the throat, and what that starts with is Philly's defensive line. Guys, that does not bode well for Chuba Hubbard. So I'm basically testing Bryce Young all day long against my cornerbacks, if I'm Philly, and really saying, okay, chuba, you're not going to beat us. Jonathan Brooks, you're not going to beat us. So, with that being said, guys, eagles have one of the top defenses in the NFL. They held Derrick Henry under 100 yards in no TDs, which is impressive in its own self. So for me, guys, I'm sitting Chuba Hubbard this week against Philly.
Speaker 2:I thought you were going to say you're sitting, derrick Henry.
Speaker 1:What a flip that would be. He is a body too. You are sitting.
Speaker 2:Derrick Henry. I'm sitting him. Hot take, hot take. Yeah, kill me on YouTube guys, hot take. All right, my first quit it.
Speaker 2:This week it's going to be Gus Edwards running back for the Los Angeles chargers at Kansas city playing in Arrowhead. Very tough to run against Kansas city man in Arrowhead in the colds, not going to be a lot of fun. But Gus Edwards, since JK is leaving, listen, gus Edwards, he's just a guy, he's a jag, that's what we say. He's just a guy. He's just not getting the volume right now in the run game, with Kamani Vidal, a rookie, eating into some of those carries. Also, he only had six carries for 32 yards. He had one catch for one yard.
Speaker 2:He's just not at all involved in the passing game whatsoever and he's just not getting enough volume. He's not a guy who's going to bust out the 50-yard touchdown run. He's not a Brees or a Bijon in that aspect. This guy needs volume. He needs to hit the line over and over and over again. They just don't have that volume right now. That team has changed and Herbert's playing extremely well. The receiver's playing very well. They're not running the ball like they used to. Gus Edwards is not the guy. You got to sit him.
Speaker 1:John, my second hitter here is going to be Tank Bigsby at Tennessee. Guys, here's the reality. Tank Bigsby was phenomenal early in the season. His usage has significantly dropped over the last few weeks and here's why. Number one ETN he's still leading the charge. Number two is that Tank Bixby has been banged up for the last few weeks and number three, trevor Lawrence, has been off the grid, he's been hurt and now he's hurt again after this past week.
Speaker 1:So when you start looking at, well, what has his production been over the last few weeks, well, I can tell you, since week seven guys, from a snap share percentage, he had 66%, 67%, and then 52, 23, and 46. Guys, he is losing time on the field. And then you start looking at, well, what is he doing with his time on the field? Well, here's his last three weeks eight rushing attempts, two rushing attempts, seven rushing attempts, seven rushing attempts. Guys, it's been really brutal for Tank Spigsby owners as well as just Tank Spigsby himself. He's playing on a bad team, he's playing in a tough division and on top of it he's playing against a Tennessee defense that has been pretty damn stout against the run. Obviously there's been a few outliers, but majority of the time they have been pretty stout. I'm sitting Tank Spigsby this week.
Speaker 2:All right, I want this one. I want some comments on this one. Guys, I want you to come at me one way or the other, because you know what? I'm probably going to be right and you're going to hate every second of it. I'm sitting Kyle Pitts at Minnesota this week. I am. I'm sitting Kyle Pitts Guys, don't get messed up with the names here.
Speaker 2:All right, this is week 14. You're trying to hit the goddamn playoffs. You're trying to make it in where you can win some money and win that trophy, win that belt or ring. Kyle Pitts isn't going to get you there this week. Guys, I'm sorry, everybody starts Kyle Pitts every single week because what if? What if? All right, well, let me tell you what if, guys? You just got to look at the stats here.
Speaker 2:He's tight end number 14. He's not a tight end one right now. He did not catch a pass in week 13. He did not catch a pass in week 13. What'd he do in week 12? I'm sure it was good. He's probably up and down Much better, right? No, he caught one pass. He had one catch in week 12. Frankie, he's got six catches in the last four games.
Speaker 2:How do you roll a guy like that out there? You can't. It's just name. It's hopes and wishes. Is it joy? Is that what it's all about right now? No't start Kyle Pitts.
Speaker 2:Minnesota is extremely difficult against the tight end. You got to sit them down, guys. Find another option Jawan Johnson for the Saints, now that Taysom Hill is gone start him. Jonu Smith for the Dolphins Start him. And Joku for the Browns Start him. There's many, many other options besides Tucker Craft. We just talked about that. Start him. Many other options besides Kyle Pitts. Don't get caught up in the name. You need to win this week and get your ass in the playoffs. Do it All right. Thank you very much. That is the show for the day, guys. That's our hit it's and quit it's. I hope that helps you out. Please send us comments, ask us some start sit advice, show us your lineups, tell us where you are. What's going on? What do you need to happen to hit the playoffs and to make the playoffs? Frankie and I will share some of that with you as well. Of what we're doing, frankie, what do we have coming up?
Speaker 1:man. Guys, this Friday we're dropping another Fridays with Frankie. We're giving you the most updated starts and sits, updated advice for the weekend, just a little bit of something to keep you going the way. You had the most updated advice heading into the weekend, guys, in addition to that, be prepared for the first playoff episode starting next week, getting you guys ready, who are in the playoffs and understanding what the landscape looks like at that point in time.
