Speaker 1:

All right, let's get into some news here. Man, I'm not going to bring out the bell because it's playoffs. These aren't guys that you, uh, and we lost so and so for the year. Okay, but we did lose a few guys here. We've had some injuries. Okay, we've got the waiver wire sensation.

Speaker 1:

Everybody just emptied the coffers and went apeshit on the waiver wire for isaac garendo running back for the san francisco 49ers. You know what? Some years, frankie, some teams just have an x on their door, man, they just have. They've the pox, they've got something. I don't know what it is, man, they've got the vid. I don't know what it is.

Speaker 1:

But, yeah, the 49ers man, it's just one of those years where it's impossible for this team to stay healthy. It really is in the backfield especially. Really is in the backfield, especially. We're down to, I think, the fourth string running back. He just got hurt. Isaac Arendo, he sprays, sprained his foot. He's not going to practice all week long and it's going to be a game time decision on Thursday night. Football, of course he plays on Thursday night, of course, yeah, so you're really not going to be able to plan for this. Guys. The fifth string running back, who is not hurt currently? I mean, the week is young he can get hurt in warm-ups, possibly on Thursday night on the field. Patrick Taylor, frankie, what are we doing with this backfield here? Are you going to roll with Isaac Garendo? Are you picking up? Are you emptying the coffers again, if you didn't already on Patrick Taylor, what's?

Speaker 2:

happening Guys. Yeah, this is tough. I mean, here's the deal You're going to evaluate and make sure and see if Grendo is playing. If he does play, my personal opinion I'm putting him in. If he does not play, John, no, I don't even think I'm going to start Patrick Taylor, and the reason being is because there's others behind him that might be able to get the job done and so he's just untested, unproven to a certain degree. Sure, we saw him. I believe he scored last week and hats off to you. But when we're talking playoffs, when we're talking your team is on the line here. I'm not willing to put a fourth, fifth string guy yeah, you're right, it is fifth because of Elijah Mitchell also being on our good call, john.

Speaker 1:

I was like wait, I think it's fourth.

Speaker 2:

No, you're right, yeah Is fifth running back. So no, man, the answer is no, if, if Garendo is not playing, I'm not willing to put in Patrick Taylor. But here's the key I am willing to put a little bit to get him in the waiver wire just in case if something happens to Garendo and we do end up seeing Patrick Taylor explode on Thursday, I at least know I want him on my bench and that way, in case something crazy happens, I make it to the semis, I can have him play him in that RB2 or even that flex spot for that time. But in terms of starting him, I'm not willing to do that this week.

Speaker 1:

Now I mean you have to pick him up off the waivers if nothing else to play. Keep away from somebody who may be desperate in the playoffs here. We know a few guys in our league that are pretty desperate for an RB2 right now. Shout out.

Speaker 2:

Jackson.

Speaker 1:

Shout out Jackson, yeah, he lost CMC and Jordan Mason and did not get in on the Garendo madness. But the other thing too is that if you're in a position, like Jackson is, where he doesn't have an RB2 because all of his running backs on his team just got wiped out, then, yeah, you're going to have to put everything you've got into picking this guy up and you've got to play him because at least he's a starting running back on a team. Okay, let's move on a little bit here. We've got Jonathan Brooks. Man God, we're going to talk about this, guys. We're going to have a couple of episodes after the season. We're going to have a couple of episodes after the season. We're going to review where everybody ended up. We'll have one with quarterbacks, receivers. We'll do another episode with running backs, tight ends.

Speaker 1:

But we're going to talk about busts as well, and I hate saying it, but Jonathan Brooks was a bust. Held on to him all year. You drafted him in maybe seventh, eighth round, something like that Bust man. You never got to see him at all. He tore his ACL the same knee that he had with ACL before. We may never see this guy, to be perfectly honest I mean, it's around the same timeline. I think of what we were looking at this time next year that he might maybe be able to return, but I think there was something going on there because it was a pretty long, uh return. He should have been able to come back sooner I think five, six, yeah, yeah exactly.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I think that there may have been some things that went on there and it didn't quite heal right, but he did tear it again, so he gone, he gone. Derrick carr, quarterback for the new orleans saints, fractured his non-throwing hand. He is out for the season. Talk about the Saints here, man, because it was sketch as hell anyway. Uh, are you burning MVS? He's gone.

Speaker 2:

Right now he's back to running cardio yeah, I mean at this point, I mean you have to think that I mean sure, like you know, if Bub Memes comes back and a few others you know, okay, fine, like you might be able to plug and play one of those guys, knowing that they're more route runners and not just downfield threats. Here, guys, where Derek Carr shined was throwing the ball down the field to MVS or just dumping it off to Kamara, there was no middle-tier threat, with Olave going down and others. So for me, man, yeah, this decimates MVS for right now, and I think they're planning on rolling out a rookie in either as inexperienced as him is going to come in and probably dump it off. So, but yeah, for the receivers, it just, in my opinion, it just crushes them.

Speaker 1:

It does. It kills Juwan Johnson too, because he was a great tight end here in the stretch with Derek Carr thrown to him. But yeah, with these questions at quarterback I don't think he can play Juwan Johnson either. I think it destroys his value as a tight end. What I will say Frankie talked about both of these quarterbacks that may come in and in relief for Derek Carr start the commander's defense guys. Anytime you've got a rookie quarterback and we've got a handful of them this week or a second, third string quarterback, start that defense. Washington defense should be a really good streaming defense for you in the playoffs. That is actually the news here.

Speaker 2:

Jake Hayner. John, real quick. Jake Hayner is the quarterback's name that is potentially going to be starting this week for week 15.

Speaker 1:

Like I said, start the commander's defense. All right, let's get to another quarterback here, aiden O'Connell, quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders. His knee injury. First of all, it looked bad, he was in a boot. It looked bad, he was in a boot. They carted him off. Now they're saying it's diagnosed as a bone bruise. Status still kind of unknown, but he may play this week. It is possible Not that anybody's starting Aiden O'Connell in your Super Bowl at all or in your playoffs at this point, but in a super flex league definitely you got to pay attention to that Desmond Ritter would come in. If Aiden O'Connell can't play, what are you going to do this week? You're the Brock Bowers owner. You're the Jacoby Myers owner. How nervous are you, john, if?

Speaker 2:

I'm the Brock Bowers owner. I'm not nervous. I think that he is almost like it doesn't matter who you're putting out there at quarterback, he's going to be able to get his. In my personal opinion, jacoby Myers is who makes me nervous, because we saw how much synergy him and Aiden O'Connell have. I mean, jacoby Myers was a bona fide and I'm going to say it. He was borderline, a true number one receiver on their prospective team, not in fantasy football, but on that prospective team. And because he was just getting the targets, he was getting that midfield look. He was also active in the red zone and things like that. So for me, man, jacoby Myers was really solid with O'Connell. We even saw a dip with Minshew. For me, man, this would be really rough.

Speaker 2:

We saw what Ritter did at the Falcons to where some games? Sure, he would have a 300-yard game, but most of the time it was 140, 170 yards, maybe 200. It was dispersed out through quite a few other options. So I mean, we could see Trey Tucker pop off a few times. We could see, of course, brock Bowers. We could see Mike Mayer, the other tight end, the forgotten tight end. Now that Brock Bowers has been there, shit dude. They could come out and run two tight end sets and just rock it out from that standpoint. So for me I'm not as worried about Brock Bowers. No-transcript.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, if Aiden O'Connell plays, I think Jacoby Myers is fine. If he doesn't play, I don't think you can start him, guys. I wouldn't do it in your playoffs. It's too serious, not this week. Yeah, all right. Justin Herbert, quarterback for the Chargers, left. The game was able to come back and finish. It may have been a you know kind of an adrenaline type thing that let him finish the game. You're going to have to monitor these practice reports. This week. We got Fridays with Frankie. There's a bunch of these guys we don't have status on, frankie. We're going to need you on Friday to let us know if we can put these guys in or not. Man, we'll be waiting.

Speaker 1:

Bucky Irving running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers he's been awesome this year, just absolutely awesome. He's questionable right now. Left in the early second quarter of last week's game with back tightness. Now this is what really makes me nervous is that this is going to be tough to watch and practice. You're not going to know until game time with him. Right now Extremely risky, because this is something his back could tighten up during warm-ups or in the first quarter of the game again, and you're going to have a goose egg potentially on your RB status. You can't do that In my mind, guys. This week you're going to have to steer clear of Bucky Irving. It's just too risky for a playoffs. All right, kenneth Walker another one. This is brutal man.

Speaker 1:

Another surprise injury. Last week he was out. He's questionable. This week they did determine it's not a knee injury, it is a calf injury, and they're running additional tests and getting some other advice on this one. That's not good. That doesn't make it seem like he's going to be in the lineup for this week. So monitor that, make plans. Zach Charbonnet excellent start in his stead. He was, I think, the top running back on the week. So if he doesn't go, fire up Zach Charbonnet with full confidence, george Pickens, wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is unlikely to play. He's got a grade two hamstring injury. Not looking good for this week, guys. Does this also kill? While we're on the topic of the Steelers, does this destroy, absolutely destroy Russell Wilson's value if you're in a 2QB league?

Speaker 2:

You know, john, it hurts. It hurts a lot Guys. We saw it this past week. I mean sure we saw Russ do some interesting things. He did really connect with Friar Muth and it was pretty cool to see that, john.

Speaker 2:

Other than that, russell Wilson looked rough. There was no downfield rough, there was no downfield throws, there was no 50-50 balls, I mean, other than maybe Mike Williams one time towards the boundary. Other than that man. I mean, yeah, I think we need to truly level, set expectation with Russ Wilson, which we've been so used to. I mean, he's been excellent. I think he was averaging something along the lines of like 269 or 270 yards a game up until pretty much last week, and George Pickens was a huge part of that. I mean downfield 50-50 throws. Throw it up to him and he's getting 79 yards, four catches a game pretty much is what it seemed like. And so when you're taking away roughly about 100 yards from Russell Wilson, just off that player and there's nobody to replace Pickens, that's the problem. Calvin Austin was nowhere to be found last game and Mike Williams was just meh. And so, yeah, you had Friar Muth and basically Jalen Warren. So for me, man, yes, I think it does crush Russ Wilson, and I think you guys need to look elsewhere.

Speaker 1:

Not to mention the fact they're playing in Philly this week. Oh, just rough, what a game. What a game it is going to be rough. I think that you could start Pat Friermuth if you're streaming tight ends. I think you could start Friermuth If you've got the luxury of sitting. Najee, sure, you can do that if you've got the luxury, but it's going to be tough to start any of the Steelers this week against this Philly defense in Philly for sure. Okay, let's move on here. We've got Romeo Dobbs still in the concussion protocol. This is third game missed with a concussion, so that's a little disturbing. There You're going to have to monitor that. Cedric Tillman, still also in the concussion protocol monitor his status as well. Demarcus Robinson, wide receiver for the Rams, has an AC joint sprain. He could miss Thursday night football. We'll talk a little bit about that in the Thursday night preview.

Speaker 1:

Speaking of the Rams, tyler Higbee, tight end, practiced in full and he could play on Monday night. Coach McVay did say he doesn't want to rush him though, so that doesn't make me feel real good about that. We've been up without Tyler Higby this long. You might be able to just not go with him this week because they might not play him on Thursday night. Will Disley, tight end for the Chargers, has a shoulder injury. They're running additional tests. Doesn't look good at all for this week. No status, but keep an eye on him.

Speaker 1:

Last one here is Rashad Bateman. Wide receiver for the Ravens Did heal up during the bye week. That is great news. He's practicing in full. Should be good to go, so we don't have to play the Deontay Johnson game anymore. Oh God, actually he's suspended this week, isn't he? Yeah, he sure is. Yeah, yeah, congrats, deontay. All right, frankie, let's get to a Thursday night football preview. Let's talk about Thursday night football here, man, all right, we've got the seven and six Los Angeles Rams playing on fire right now at the six and seven San Francisco 49ers. Man, let's break it down. Break down the Rams here for me, man, let's break it down. Break down the Rams here for me, man. What's it looking like?

Speaker 2:

John, this is such an easy game for the most part from a fantasy perspective, and I'll tell you why. Rams, three key guys that you need to be focused on and everybody knows it, kyron Williams, pukunukua, cooper Cup, firing up those guys. Enjoy them in your fantasy this week. The other is Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 2:

Now, this is not a great matchup. Let's just put it out there. It's not good, but Matt Stafford is going to need to throw the ball, because that is really how they're going to win this game. The 49ers have done a very good job. What we've seen against the Bears I think they actually had two yards, because that is really how they're going to win this game. The 49ers have done a very good job. What we've seen against the Bears I think they actually had two yards. The Bears did up until halftime, john, or something along those lines. It was crazy. The 49ers just shut them out. Now the Bears obviously have a rookie quarterback, different setting, right coach issues, all sorts of different shit going on. But for me, man, I think you could potentially look to start Matt Stafford, just because, a it's a rivalry game, b it's a massive divisional game and C they're going to need to throw the ball to keep up with Brock Purdy etc. So I do kind of like Stafford this week 48.5 point over under too.

Speaker 1:

So I mean you're implying a couple of pass touchdowns there, most likely.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, exactly. And John 49ers right now are minus two and you and I were talking a little bit Shit. I kind of like the Rams baby.

Speaker 1:

I do.

Speaker 2:

I kind of like the Rams here, you know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, oh, yeah so we'll see what happens.

Speaker 2:

So let's talk about the 49ers for a second Purdy. You're firing him up. What we've seen from Purdy. What a bounce back After what was being called. This is who Purdy was. This is who he is, without CMC, all this shit. My Lord, did he put that to bed?

Speaker 1:

I think that was me saying that actually. Sorry Brock, baby Sorry Brock.

Speaker 2:

He listened and he heard and he performed. Let me tell you we got George Kittle. You're firing him up. Gold Jawan Jennings guys, he is a must start right now. Jawan Jennings is on fire. He is absolutely the number one target outside of Kittle for that of Purdy. And for me, man, if Garendo plays we talked about it you're starting Garendo. In my personal opinion, if he can play, I'm firing him up in that flex or RB2 spot if you need it. But I'll tell you who I'm sitting.

Speaker 2:

This is a hot take. I'm sitting Debo Samuel this week, regardless of who's playing and not playing, john right now. Debo has been terrible over the last three weeks In half PPR. He hasn't had over six points in any of those weeks and he has been basically non-targeted when it comes to that of Brock Purdy. So for me, man, purdy obviously is feeling super comfortable with Kittle. We're seeing that connection. It's a rare connection. It's almost like what we saw from Matt Stafford and Puka is the same vibe I'm getting with Juwan Jennings and Purdy. It's just something about it. It's working.

Speaker 1:

Do you think they have breakfast together? Maybe that's what.

Speaker 2:

Brunch, not breakfast Brunch. You know you're crossing a threshold when you're getting that Bloody Mary man with that bacon and that deviled egg.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, the bottomless mimosas.

Speaker 2:

They're brunching it for sure. Yeah, meanwhile, de, you know they're they're brunching it for sure, yeah. Meanwhile Debo's eating at McDonald's or sitting outside with the windows down, just peeking out the window, you know. So for me, man, yeah, I'm really focused on Purdy Kittle, Jennings Garendo if he plays, I'm sitting. Debo, samuel, this week guys and again we talked about it 49ers minus two over under 48 and a half. I'm gonna go with the tease here. I'm bringing back the tees. Let's crank it up.

Speaker 1:

Crank it up, baby, get the music going, let's go. Yeah, crank it up, all right.

Speaker 2:

So we're going to go LA Rams plus eight and we're going to go over 42 and a half here. So that's the tees. We're going to do the Rams plus eight, over 42 and a half.

Speaker 1:

Let's ride baby, love that bet, love that bet. Let's get it All right. All right, man, let's get to our hit it's and quit it's right now. Let's play another good song. Let's hit it baby. Yeah, all right, all right. Like I said, guys, we've got our hit it's and quit it's. We've got three guys you should hit and start and we've got two guys each that you should sit or quit. All right, frankie, who is your first hit it of the week? My man.

Speaker 2:

John, this first hit it. You guys might need to look at a prop bet, and let me tell you why this dude five out of the last six weeks double digit points. Last two weeks alone 23 targets, 16 receptions, 198 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the last two weeks alone. So you might need to check out a prop. And how are you going to do that? You're going to head over to our dedicated page at signupexpertcom, backslash, frankly, to explore a selection of sportsbooks tailored to your region, each with unique offerings. So, guys, again, if you're ready to take your sports betting to the next level and show a little love for Johnny, I and the Frankly brand highly recommend checking it out, signing up for your next sports book through, again, mysignupexpertcom, backslash, frankly, and you can easily find this in the description of the video and all you need to do put $20 in, get a bonus bet back and enjoy this. Hit it of mine, john. Get a bonus bet back and enjoy this. Hit it of mine, john.

Speaker 2:

Again, if I go back, we talked about last week or the last two weeks 23 targets, 16 receptions, 198 yards, two touchdowns it's Tyreek Hill, and everybody might be like you know what? Of course you're firing up Tyreek Hill? Oh yeah, of course you sure. In an eight 10 man league, yeah, there might be way better options that you have consistently throughout the year. And again, typically if Miami's playing in a cold weather, you might steer away from Tyreek Hill because of how poor Tua plays. Here's the reason why you're not steering away this week. Number one at Houston they are inside, dolphins are finding their stride and Houston is giving up the fourth most fantasy points to receivers right now. Lock in Tyreek Hill for those more shallow leagues and enjoy your fantasy output.

Speaker 1:

All right, I love it, man, bring out the cheetah. I'm going to zig. When you think I'm going to zag, frankie, for my first hit it I. This is very uncharacteristic of me. This goes to show you that I don't hold grudges and that I just look at the data and go with what I think is going to work. Here I'm going with the old man himself, adam Thielen. I am hooked on a goddamn Thielen right now.

Speaker 1:

Baby Adam Thielen, wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers versus the Dallas Cowboys. All right, listen, dallas has been getting torched through the year. We all just watched that Monday night game where Burrow and Chase just went absolutely apeshit. All right, dallas is getting torched here. Man, adam Thielen, he has over 24 fantasy points in each of the last two games.

Speaker 1:

This is what I'm talking about. He's heating up. He's on fire. Remember the old NBA jams when you hit three in a row and you're heating up? That's Thielen right now, baby, he's about to be heating up. He was 8 for 10 for 99 yards and a touchdown and 9 for 11 for 102 yards receiving in the last two games. Bryce Young's playing really well right now. I'm going to give it to him. He's actually playing like an actual NFL quarterback right now. Thielen is the beneficiary here. Thielen is his most reliable target and Leggett has been very inconsistent. He's caught a couple of bombs here and there, but he's not the guy that Bryce Young is going to to be trusted to catch the ball. It's Thielen. So, baby, I want you hooked on a feeling this week.

Speaker 2:

Let's go, john. What's crazy too is in that game, like bryce young looked very good to the point to where they should have beat the eagles leg, it dropped a touchdown at the end of the game. And did you see that guy that bet three million dollars, did million. Did you hear about that? He bet $3 million on the Eagles money line to win $423,000 or something like that. Could you imagine him stressing out so bad? I'm putting a picture up of Xavier Leggett and just kissing it every day that I walked by that picture, that he dropped that pass Sidebar. But Bryce Young has been playing well, man, good, call out. So, guys, my second hit it here is actually going to be an either, or what I mean by that is I'm firing up Braylon Allen and or Isaiah Davis at Jacksonville. If Brees Hall cannot go, guys, number one Jacksonville is terrible, like real, real terrible. Okay, they're bad.

Speaker 2:

Isaiah Davis last week too, when he finally got an opportunity, john, he looked just as good as Braylon Allen did. He had 10 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted six times throughout the year and ended up having three receptions for 27 yards. Braylon Allen, again very solid as well 11 carries 43 yards. He was targeted five times, had four receptions for 38 yards. Both of these guys were in double digits, and so against a much better team.

Speaker 2:

So for me, when you're looking at this, john, at Jacksonville, they're really bad. They're giving up the second most points to opposing running backs. It's brutal. And then you look at what they've done last week, even Jacksonville to that of Joe Mixon, or the last time that they played Joe Mixon was over 100 yards, so on and so forth. So for me, man, as long as Brees Hall is out, I am absolutely. If I got Braylon Allen or if I got Isaiah Davis and you have maybe some injuries happening maybe you had Jordan Mason, maybe you have CMC, maybe you have some of these other cats like Bucky Irving that you're a little bit on the edge about. Look at one of these others to be very sufficient in this type of game. Go Braylon Allen, go Isaiah Davis. All right, let's talk about this for a second. So we've got Braylon.

Speaker 1:

Allen go Isaiah Davis. All right, let's talk about this for a second. So we've got Braylon Allen. He's been owned all year. Yep, people were super excited right before the playoffs to see that go down and they can plug a piece in like that. Uh, now Isaiah Davis. He might still be on the waiver wires here now. As I say Isaiah Davis, I mean we're looking at a 50-50 split here and carries 10 carries versus 11 carries. Here Is Isaiah Davis. For a guy like Jackson we talked about earlier that needs that RB2 because he lost everybody. Is this a guy he can just pick up and plug right in and hope for a 50-50 share? Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

As long as Brees is out, right, like Brees has got to be out. But yes, john, I mean guys, you should have been picking this guy up last week, knowing Brees Hall was out as a just in case. If he's still on your waiver, this is somebody you need to pick up, because if Brees Hall misses, maybe two more weeks and we can see Braylon Allen splitting a 50-50 split with this other guy, because they're two different types of runners you have one brute force and you have another guy in isaiah davis who's a little bit more shifty and a little bit quicker on that accelerator. Yeah, man, you definitely need to, because, right, it gives you an opportunity against a really shit defense.

Speaker 1:

So, yes, all right, sounds good. All right, let's get it to my next. Hit it here now. This one. I'm gonna put a caveat on this one. Guys, I don, I don't like going with all the obvious the chalk. I like throwing some risks in there. Lately I've been hitting on those risks, believe it or not. Every week I get ready for all the abuse on YouTube and TikTok and Instagram, and so, bitch, I guess I'm getting some of these right guys, I know Maybe this one I can give you, you can give me a little shit this week.

Speaker 1:

This start is if you're looking at your projections right now and you're the underdog and you're saying, oh my God, I don't care about floor, I don't care about safety, I want something that's going to give me a home run chance to help me beat this juggernaut. Maybe you're the last seed playing the top guy. So let's look at this. I'm talking about Jaden Reed, wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers. He's playing at Seattle this week. Now I get it. Get that bad taste out of your mouth from last week. He just wanted to puke on that one target. I get it. He's the wide receiver 12.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes this happens there are ups and downs. Nobody is 20 points a week, every single week. I know it's been rough the past couple of games, their last four games. He's 12 catches for 73 yards in the last four games. I get it, but three of those 12 catches were touchdowns three touchdowns in the past four games. I'm telling you this is a touchdown play here, guys. It's high risk but it's high reward. Again, if you're the underdog, even in an 8-10 man league, please don't freak out about Jaden Reed last week. Put him in there. They're playing against Seattle. You can throw all over Seattle. This one's going to be just a scoring fest in this game, I guarantee it. So I think you can play Jaden Reed. Help you get to the next level of the playoffs.

Speaker 2:

Do it, johnny. My third hitter here man is going to be Jerry Judy versus that of Kansas City. Here's why, guys, jerry Judy has gone nuclear in his last five weeks. And what do I mean by that? He's actually top five receivers in the last five weeks. That's how crazy. This has been right. So he's had just to dive a little deeper. He's had 60 plus yards in five plus receptions in the last six weeks, with three touchdowns.

Speaker 2:

Okay, in addition to this, kansas City as good as their defense is and it is very good, especially against the run John they're actually giving it their 13th against fantasy receivers. So that means that it's right middle of the road. I mean sure there's 32 teams right, so 16 is right in the middle. Yeah, you know they're, they're 13th, but like dude, I'll take that all day, especially when you know Jameis Winston all he's going to do is air it out right, because the rushing attack is probably going to be a no-go in this matchup. And so, with it being a positive game script, knowing Judy is going nuclear, knowing Jameis Winston has the best ability to literally forget, play next, next play, forget after you throw a touch or an interception and just go up and throw another 70-yard bomb. I love Jerry Judy. This week, fire him up and enjoy.

Speaker 1:

Fun fact Jerry Judy hasn't had less than five catches since week seven.

Speaker 2:

Say it louder with your chest.

Speaker 1:

Jerry Judy hasn't had less than five catches since week seven. Sneaky, sneaky. He's actually the wide receiver 10 right now overall in fantasy. It's crazy. He's had a hell of a run man. You got Jameis out there throwing a ton of balls to him. He's also throwing a ton of picks, but this is fantasy, baby, we don't care about those picks.

Speaker 1:

I'm not starting Jameis, I'm starting Jerry Judy. I love it. All. Right, let's get to my last start of the week here. My last hit it. It's going to be Rico Dowdle man.

Speaker 1:

We keep going back and forth. We'd said start him one week. We said sit him another week. Listen, the last two games against bad rushing defenses. Rico Dowdle has scored 26 points in fantasy and 20 points Back-to-back 100-yard games. Once again, this guy's heating up. Okay, he's going to be on fire after this week. They're at Carolina guys, this is the juiciest of juicy matchups. Okay, when I say running against bad rushing defenses, this is exactly what I'm talking about. Carolina's surrendering 24 non-PPR points per game to running backs 24 non-PPR points. Carolina's also given up at least 10 non-PPR points per game in every single game this year. This gives you the floor. So you're telling me I'm going to put Enrico Dowdle, a guy I really haven't needed to rely on in my fantasy playoffs, and his range of outcomes is going to be anywhere from 10 to 24 points, based on the Carolina defense. Let's go fire it up, baby, strap it on and enjoy. Rico Dowdle is going to make you happy this week. Love it All. Right, frankie, who are you going to quit this week? Who are we?

Speaker 2:

sitting. Love it All. Right, frankie, who are you going to quit this week? Who are we sitting, guys? My first quit is pretty much everybody's like yeah, no kidding, but just have to say it's Kareem Hunt at Cleveland. Guys, here's why the last two weeks, kareem has had under 20 yards rushing and only 13 receptions as a whole. We're seeing Pacheco starting to take the bulk of the load. Cleveland is not a great start either. When you're excuse me, kareem Hunt or running backs against Cleveland haven't been great starts either. And even though this could be a revenge game and people might be casting out lines because maybe you have Kenneth Walker, maybe you have Brees Hall, maybe you have some of these other guys that are out, kareem Hunt is not the guy you want to start this week. So for me, man, I'm tempering expectations, I'm going with the masses of the people and we are saying to quit Kareem Hunt this week.

Speaker 1:

It's a revenge game, Frankie, I mean revenge game right?

Speaker 1:

Or is the revenge canceled out because he's back on the chiefs? Yeah, I don't know how that works. My brain just exploded. All right, my first quiddit of the week. It's going to be rookie sensation Brian Thomas Jr versus the New York Jets. I love this guy. It hurts me and pains me to say to sit him, but I think it's the right move here, guys, he had zero points in the first half last week. Then all of a sudden in the second half, with about 30 minutes to go of the game, he was 8 for 86 and it was all garbage time.

Speaker 1:

I don't want to bank on garbage time, especially when you're playing the Jets to where they may not score a whole bunch of points either, so you may not even have garbage time. This could just be kind of a pathetic defensive game without a lot of offense. Here the Jets did give up. I'll give it to you. The Jets did give up 200 yards and a score to wide receivers last week. But that was Miami, that was Tyreek, that was Jalen Waddle. Brian Thomas is no Tyreek Hill. Mack Jones, more importantly, is no Tua Tunga-Vailoa. Okay. So that's where I'm going with this. They're going to struggle against this.

Speaker 2:

Jets D and I'm just not going to trust him in my playoffs in this matchup. Look elsewhere, john. My second quit it, guys, quit it. We are sitting them down is actually going to be DK Metcalf. Now, what's interesting, guys, hot, super hot, super hard to do. But here's what's interesting, john. We had a couple guys reach out on our YouTube say hey, love your guys' show, start stick question.

Speaker 2:

Looking at Calvin Ridley or DK Metcalf, who would you start? This past week, past week, I told him I'm leaning Calvin Ridley, gave him a laundry list of reasons why but said DK's hard to sit. Completely understand that. And look who outperformed who. Calvin Ridley outperformed that of DK Metcalf. And so again, this is going to be for more of those 8-10 man leagues, 12-14 man leagues. You've got to start DK because there's not much there For those 8-10 man leagues. You're making these tough decisions. You're trying to figure out hey, is it a Jawan Jennings or is it a DK Metcalf? It's a Jawan Jennings, is it a Jaden Reed or a DK Metcalf? Flip a coin. Johnny's saying start Jaden Reed, guys. Here's also why you need to temper expectations. Potentially for DK.

Speaker 2:

Number one, green Bay is 11th most difficult against opposing receivers. It's not great. What do I mean by that? Well, when they played the Lions, they held Amon Ra under 59 yards, less than 50 yards, against that of Jawan Jennings, less than 25 yards for Debo, less than 65 yards for DJ Moore and under 45 yards for Keenan Allen. And I'm dropping these specific players because they play similar-esque positions, except for that of Amin Ra. He moves around quite a bit but, guys, in addition to this, what we're seeing in Seattle is a huge emergence from that of Jackson, smith and Jigba, and so it's getting harder and harder for DK to break out, knowing that they're shading a safety over because they don't want DK to burn them. So now it's leaving open JSN on one-on-ones and it's just JSN's feeding.

Speaker 2:

And so for me, guys, when you're looking at a super tough defense in that of Green Bay and even though Jair Alexander has been banged up, I get it they still have other defensive pieces that have truly stepped up and have been excellent. And, yes, this could be a shootout. John, I think you nailed it. I think that there's going to be a lot of scoring here, but there's been a lot of scoring previously. You look at what they just did against Arizona, and was DK a part of it? He wasn't. And so for me, guys, really look at it in those shallow leagues. Do you start DK just because of the name or do you have a better option? And for me, this week, knowing it's week 15, look real hard at your teams and I might be sitting DK.

Speaker 1:

I don't hate it, man. I don't hate it. I completely understand. It's playoff times. You can't just look at a guy's name and say, well, yeah, he's an automatic start. No, he is not. Look at the matchups. Look at what's going on. Look at the trends over the past three, four, five weeks to help you make decisions on what to do here. All right, my last hit it on the week. I hate doing this. I really do. I hate it. But listen, people have to know.

Speaker 1:

I know most people are agreeing with me on this one, but you got to sit Nick Chubb running back for the Cleveland Browns versus the Kansas City Chiefs. You've just got to do it. Unfortunately, I know a lot of us drafted Chubb, sat on him, were hoping for him in week five or six, took a little longer than that and you know what? Honestly, it hasn't been the same at all. You're not getting the Nick Chubb of old. The problem really is Jerome Forga, 50% of the carries. Last week they were boat raced. It's going to happen again against the Chiefs and that's going to take Nick Chubb completely out of the game. Kansas City gives up the fewest fantasy points to running backs.

Speaker 1:

All right, I'd be questioning to sit superstars against them right now if I were in an 8-10 man league. Let alone Nick Chubb. Unfortunately this year he's just not a superstar. He's not getting the opportunity. It's not the Browns' identity any longer as we stand currently. You've got to sit Nick Chubb. There are better options out there, all right? All right, that is the episode for the week, guys. I hope we gave you some little nuggets, some little tidbits, something you can take back, chew on a little bit and help you get into the next round of the playoffs here. Frankie, what do we have coming up, man?

Speaker 2:

Guys, don't forget, I see it, I say it every week and it's been blowing up. I love it. I love that you guys love it. I'm talking about Fridays with Frankie baby.

Speaker 2:

I will be dropping that this Friday and it will be including some of the big news Is Brees Hall going to play? Is Kenneth Walker going to play?
