Week 10 Fantasy Football Podcast - Injury & Trade News - Starts/Sits
A wild Week 9 rewrote expectations: a veteran QB detonates a box score, the Bears swing from dud to fireworks, and a proud defense flips game scripts and crushes chalk. We take that chaos and turn it into clear Week 10 decisions—who to start, who to sit, and which “hot hand” trends are strong enough to ride through tough matchups and bye-week headaches.
We start with the headline performances and what actually sustains. Caleb Williams showed the ceiling that keeps managers hooked while DJ Moore reclaimed alpha usage, and a next-man-up tight end seized a rare opportunity. Pittsburgh’s turnover surge reminded us that context matters, especially when alumni energy and home-field juice change the temperature of a game. From there, we dive into the injury wave: a young franchise QB sidelined, concussions that cloud Sunday plans, receivers battling ribs and heels, and the trap of trusting vague coach quotes. Our rule: let Friday participation decide your pivots.
Then it’s lineup time. We make the case for starting both Bears running backs against a soft front, greenlight every Chargers receiver versus a leaky secondary, and highlight two potential league-winners: Rico Dowdle’s workload spike and RJ Harvey’s red-zone plus receiving combo. We also lay out the tough calls—benching a high-draft RB in shallow leagues against an elite defense, trusting J.K. Dobbins in a smash spot, and choosing between steady TE volume and explosive upside with Colston Loveland and Dalton Kincaid. Along the way, we spotlight Josh Allen’s historic efficiency and a resurgent Sam Darnold powering a dangerous Seattle passing game.
Ready to turn chaos into wins? Follow our start/sit blueprint, lock in your late-week pivots, and ride the right trends into the playoff push. If you learned something or nailed a bold move, subscribe, drop a review, and share this with your league—what’s your toughest Week 10 decision?

SPEAKER_02:Holy shit. I know. I can't believe it's week 10 already, man. I mean, this has really flown by. So if you think about it, we've got four weeks until the playoffs start for fantasy. Doesn't that seem impossible? Four weeks?
SPEAKER_00:I feel like it's already going so fast. I know.
SPEAKER_02:I know. Well, five weeks. Five weeks count on week weeks. So, hey, if you're looking at your schedule or you're looking at your record, which I know I am, and I'm four and five in a couple of leagues here, man. Guys, we love you guys and thank you for checking us out.
SPEAKER_02:All right, let's get into it, man. Let's take a look at a couple of things that happened last week here, Frankie. Some of the bigger headlines. Holy Bears versus Cincinnati game. What in the actual fuck happened here, Matt? We I mean, we we talked about it was like a 50 and a half overunder. We talked about how fun this game could be. Weren't sure what the Bears were gonna do, but Jesus Christ, Flacco. I mean, come on, man. Four 40 year old 40-year-old Flacco putting on the icy hot. You know, he's already injured. A guy comes out, throws, throws the ball. How many the what he 47 times he threw the ball? Something crazy? Insane. Lay this game out for us, brother.
SPEAKER_00:Flacco, 470 yards, four touchdowns, two interceptions. Guys, he's 40 years old throwing for almost 500 yards. And then you have the young buck on the opposite end with Caleb Williams, guys, 280 yards, three touchdowns. And here's what's crazy the Bears won this game. And the reason why I say it's crazy is because it's the first time in Bears history they have won when also giving up at least 42 fan or 42 points overall. So this was absurd. I mean, for the Bengals, I feel so bad. This was an epic meltdown. I mean, not only did you have do you feel bad? Yeah, yeah, terrible in the jungle. Sorry. Yeah, no, you this is what happens. You have flacco throwing for almost 500 yards, four touchdowns, an insane amount of uh offense being had, and then you get an onside kickback. You have an incredible job by your kicker uh all game, and you still lose. Like, hey, welcome to the shit show. That's all I gotta say. Cleveland and Cincinnati, we're like one. We are like a peanut butter jelly sandwich.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, we're Eskimo brothers. We both brothers at this point. We fuck each other, is what happens. We get fucked. Yeah, exactly. All right. So with the Bears, Frankie, I mean, we talk about how I can't figure this team out, and Caleb Williams, it's like Jacqueline Hyde. Totally. Yeah, I mean, he'll score what four points the week before and then blasts out, you know, uh 20 plus points on the week here. What are you doing this week moving forward with Caleb Williams, man?
SPEAKER_00:I'm firing his ass up. You gotta stay in the flames. I mean, trust me, from a guy who owns him, I literally traded for him, and then he had four points, then he had 13 points, and then he goes off for 42. So for me, man, yes, but here's what's fascinating, John, is when you look at the distribution, I mean, Roma Dunze, how well do you think he played? Zero. He ate the donut. He took a donut right to the fucking a glazed donut that's been sitting out for fucking two days, is what he took to the face versus that of DJ Moore, man. He hey, he's back. You got uh Cole Komet going down, and all of a sudden Colston Lovelin, hey, he's real, he's real, and that's the guy that they drafted first round. And so for me, what's crazy is is that it's not one player for this Bears offense. For I mean, dude, and and I have to say this the Philly special. Ben Johnson busting out the Philly special. Well, I it was just brilliant. So to answer your question, I'm staying in the flames with Caleb Williams because we've seen he's a very high-ceiling player, extremely low floor player. So just be aware that that's who you're starting, but I'm rocking with him.
SPEAKER_02:All right, we'll talk a little bit about the Bears matchup this week a little later here when we get into uh week 10 matchups. Frankie, the Steelers defense, where the hell have these guys been all year?
SPEAKER_00:I mean, yeah, no kidding.
SPEAKER_02:I went apeshit. I started all the Colts, man. I'm all my DFS lineups, everything. I had Colts everywhere, and it cooked me. It cooked me, man. Talk about the Steelers and uh Colts game.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, it was really insane. I mean, this is the first time we actually saw Danny Dimes. I mean, it looked like he had a uh a chink in his armor, is the best way to put it. Yeah, he's vulnerable. Yeah, I mean, Steelers D forcing six turnovers, welcome back. And you know what? It's almost like we all should have seen this coming, and I'll tell you why. They had all the alumni in the house, and so when you bring back all those guys, I'm talking Joey Porter Sr., I'm talking those guys from the old school 2000s, even earlier than that, with Bill Coward, etc., those dudes showed up in in droves. And so for me, man, it's like shit, should have known that was coming. But then what was really cool, man, and I specifically say Joey Porter, Joey Porter Jr. showing out for his dad, getting a pick. I mean, what not a dream scenario, uh, you know, as a father.
SPEAKER_02:So yeah, just really cool, man. One little tidbit, just because I am a father, I know you are as well. Yeah, your father is the only man who wants you to be better than him.
SPEAKER_00:That's right.
SPEAKER_02:That's well, little that's a fantasy football podcast, but little words of weekends. Deep Thoughts by Johnny. All right, man. Let's talk about we had a record this week, okay? Irrelevant record of the week. Okay. Wasn't even really that special. It's just a long ass field goal. Talk about Little.
SPEAKER_00:The Jags kicker. Cam Little. Guys, setting a record, hit a 68-yard field goal, set the NFL record, and what's awesome, what's even crazier is when you look at this game, it was a freaking great game over time. I mean, a lot of scoring, which is kind of crazy. Geno Smith looked good. Welcome back. But the the issue was uh Raiders going for a two-point conversion. Geno Smith missed him. Well, it was actually you know tipped or whatever, knocked down. Um, Jags take the win. But it was a really, really fun game to watch, actually, between those two kind of rough teams. Welcome back, Brock Bowers, too. Welcome back, Brock Bowers.
SPEAKER_02:I mean, man, you you can make an argument he's gonna be tight end one for the rest of the season if he stays healthy, man. I mean, my god, he's so needed on that team. He's the target monster. He gets everything on that team. It's crazy. All right, let's talk about uh Sam Darnold, man. I mean, I mean, I will admit I was wrong. I'm still wrong because it's still hard for me to believe it, to be honest with you. Oh god, damn, he's playing out of his mind. Talk about it, John.
SPEAKER_00:I equate Sam Darnold's play to Vanderbilt's college football team. It's what I mean by that is it's still so hard to believe Vandy is that level of a team. Yeah, I know they lost against Texas, but what a hell of a comeback, and they almost won at Texas. I mean, so like you equate that to Sam Darnold. We saw him out of his mouth say, I'm seeing ghosts, right? I'll never forget that. To then it was like, eh, maybe this is Kevin O'Connell. Maybe this is Kevin O'Connell that's really changed him and things of that nature. To now it's wow, were we wrong? I mean, Sam Darnold looks insane. John, in the first half alone, he was perfect. I've never seen anything like it. 16 for 16, 282 yards, four touchdowns in the first half. I mean, it's just absurd. And then you pair him with what JSN is doing. John, I Seattle's for real. Seattle's totally for real.
SPEAKER_02:They are. They are. And they haven't even gotten the running game really going. No, they've got two stud running backs sitting back there, too. So they've got a lot of room to adjust and confuse defenses based on their film. So man, really exciting. I could see Seattle grabbing a cure this week. In fact, by the time this episode comes out, they may grab one. Uh, because this is a legit team with a real they're a real contender. Josh Allen, here we go. The stallion, Josh Stallion. Man, this guy's just so fun to watch. Multiple milestones here, Frankie.
SPEAKER_00:What do we got? Guys, Josh Allen is an absolute freak. I mean, and we all know this, but I want to break this down for you as to how good this dude is. He set another record, actually, two. He set a franchise record for the Bills against the Kansas City Chiefs when you have a minimum of 15 passing attempts. His completion percentage was 88.5%. Guys, that's that's insane. That's it. A high 60 is very good. He is like almost 90% is unheard of. And then he surpassed the great Cam Newton. And for those of you who are like, ah, Cam Newton, no, Cam Newton was fabulous. He was a previous MVP, he was insane when he was playing for Carolina. I'm not talking about the Patriots Cam Newton, I'm talking about MVP Cam. Okay. Surpassed him for having at least a passing and rushing touchdown in a game, which is number 46. These numbers aren't just good, John. This this is a place of like a rare company historically here. So for me, guys, we it's almost like I don't want to compare him to Braun, but it's almost like for these types of things like Wembinana and Shohei Otani and LeBron James and Josh Allen and some of the stuff that these guys are doing, enjoy it, appreciate it. This is something that's truly incredible, is what we're seeing.
SPEAKER_02:It's rare, and it's fun to watch rare talent like that, man. I mean, it's it could be a long time before you see another player like that. So that's awesome, man. I love it as well. Packers got got, Frankie. Who came into town and got the Packers? Yeah, it was Uncle Rico. Uncle Rico. Throwing that football over that mountain. Tell you what, man. Back in my day, I could throw the ball a quarter mile. Yeah. Talk about Uncle Rico. What the hell, man?
SPEAKER_00:Uh guys, I mean, he's for real. That's all I'm gonna say. He's absolutely for real. To the point to where Micah Parsons comes out and actually says, right, because they played together on Dallas last year, that said Dallas didn't know how to use him properly, and it shows that Carolina does. Shocking. Dallas didn't know how to use their talent. Shocking. Shocking. Guys, he had 130 yards and two touchdowns against an incredible defense that knew that absolutely knew he was the guy they needed to stop. So imagine that. Like you Bryce Young is not gonna beat this Packers defense. It was Rico Dowdle, and it showed, I mean, hats off. This is crazy. And then let's just take guys, they were okay. Green Bay Packers were plus, or excuse me, minus 14 and a half. Or at the or at one point it might have been minus 13 and a half. What that means is they were expected to win by at least 13 14 points. Okay. Same thing with Detroit. Detroit was minus 9.5. That means that they're expected to win by 10 points. First time all year, that not one but two teams that were that had a minus nine and a half or more actually lost. Absolutely crazy sauce, man. Any given week.
SPEAKER_02:Definitely uh killed my bets, that's for sure, man. That's for sure. Killed everybody's. It sure did, man. All right, Frankie, let's get to the news, baby.
SPEAKER_01:Absolutely lost.
SPEAKER_02:News and notes. Alright, this is a rough one, man. I know this one affects you personally. Yeah, Jaden Daniels, man. I mean, are we are we putting a fragile label on Jaden Daniels? I hate doing that, but I don't know. I can't argue with people if they do, right?
SPEAKER_00:I can't argue with people if they do, but also, I mean, fragile is also it's almost condescending for this dude because I mean when you see his elbow going the opposite way, I don't know if that's fragile. I think that that's true. You know what I'm saying? So for me, man, it sucks. And it sucks for the commanders, and it sucks for the NFL. Like it really does. Like these premier quarterbacks, especially, like this is what makes the product so fun and my fantasy team so fun. And now it's not so fun.
SPEAKER_02:So that sucks. Jaden Daniels, dislocated elbow. Quote by the coach here, he's gonna be out for a while. Now they've got a week 12 bye, which tells me that you're probably not gonna see Jaden Daniels until week 13 after the bye. That's what I'm guessing. If you see him at all at this point, not really sure. So we gotta keep an eye on that. Bring out the bell, Frank. I hate doing this every week, man. Yeah. This one also affects me. Uh, yeah, you mean the tight end one up until the past week here? Yeah, it's super frustrating, man. Tucker Kraft, uh, out for the season. It is a torn ACL. That is brutal. He was he was the number one receiver for the Packers right now. Yeah, yeah, it sucks. Uh, Travis Hunter, this was a surprising one here, Frank. Going on IR, and this was prior to the week starting. Non-contact knee injury in practice. Now, you know, normally when you see that, you're like, oh, Jesus, that's an ACL. Nine times out of ten, it's an ACL. His ACL is intact, uh, so that is a good thing, but he is going on the IR, so you won't see him for quite a while here. CJ Stroud got knocked the fuck out.
SPEAKER_00:I mean, that was crazy. I mean, I I I was worried for him for a second.
SPEAKER_02:It was. And actually, it was a clean hit. He got hit in chest.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Uh so you know, but dude, he got hit hard in concussion protocol, didn't look good. Keep an eye on that. Uh, if he's not in there, it's just completely gonna tank this offense. The only person you can really start is Nico anyway. You're gonna have to temper your expectations with Nico if you got Davis Mills in there, guys. We saw how that looks. Uh now it is like a 50-50 so far this year. It's been 50-50 with concussions to be able to play the next week, which is better. Uh past couple of years, it's been a week or two before guys could get out on the field. I think that was kind of a knee-jerk reaction to the concussion protocol, but he could play. So take a look, take a look at that this week. Luke McCaffrey, wide receiver for uh the Washington Commanders on IR, broken collarbone. He's gonna be out for at least four weeks. Staying with the commanders, this team, just terrible luck, man. Scary Terry, Terry McLaurin, trending towards being out again, Frank. I what's going on here, man?
SPEAKER_00:I mean, we gotta get this guy on the field. I know, and it sucks because like when he I mean, he's playing injured. Like, that's the other thing. When we saw him get in, not only was he playing injured, but he was so good still. Like, you see how good Scary Terry actually is, and this is just a massive blow, man. I mean, an absolutely massive blow with Jaden Daniels, Scary Terry, Luke McCaffrey, who's been actually very viable coming in and helping, more from an NFL perspective, less from a fantasy perspective, but really helping the commanders' offense. And to lose all three of those guys is awful.
SPEAKER_02:All right, last bit of news here. We got uh Cole Komet out with a concussion this week. Fire up Colston Loveland. Yeah. I mean, with Cole Komet out, he's a must-start this week. Must start. All right, you got some players to watch here. Some of these guys should play this week, but take a look at it, see what they do in practice. We'll have some updates for you on Fridays with Frankie on a few of these guys, I'm sure of it. Matthew Golden, wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, shoulder injury, not considered to be long term, but he didn't return to the game, so keep an eye on him. Brian Thomas Jr., banged up with an ankle injury here. He's had a rough season, man.
SPEAKER_00:He's had a real rough season.
SPEAKER_02:Dare I say, maybe the biggest bust in in fantasy in the draft season based on where you took him?
SPEAKER_00:I I think, you know, I'm thinking about it. I think you're probably spot on, John, if I'm being honest with you. I think, yes, maybe depending on if you were crazy and you took Saquon at one overall, you could make the argument just based on the one overall. But I think it is Brian Thomas Jr. I think he takes the cake.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, I agree, man. So keep an eye on him this week. And we even had, he had it all set up for Travis Hunter being out. I thought they were just gonna funnel the ball through BTJ the whole game. They did not. So I just don't get it, man. Uh Cooper Cup, hamstring and a heel injury this week. I don't think you're putting him out there anyway. Kayshawn Booty, he's got a hamstring injury. Take a look at him later in the week. Quinshawn, we need to see Quinshawn Judkins, running back for the Browns. Good start. Good start this week. He's played very well, um, but you're gonna have to watch and see if he gets back out on the practice field uh after their bye. He should be good to go. Brock Purdy, man. You know, I'm sick of listening to coaches. Jesus Christ. I mean, for the past three weeks, we were thinking Purdy could play. Then Kyle Shanahan comes out on Monday and was like, yeah, Purdy wasn't even close this year. He said it's like, fuck you, Kyle. You know what I mean? Screw you, Kyle. Right. I mean, why are you teasing us? You're stringing us along all week long, you know, with Brock Purdy. He wasn't even close, guys. So I I don't know what the status is with him. Uh, you're gonna have to keep watching, but he's trying to work his way back. Um, don't listen to the coach. You're gonna have to watch practice and see if he's actually practicing on Fridays. Ricky Pearsall, same thing. He's got a chance, I think, this week to play, though. Puka Nakua, banged up with a rib injury. This guy every night he gets He's a warrior. You're just like, I don't know how many weeks getting killed, dude. He's a stud. I mean, he's a stud. He's a warrior. Yeah, I mean, you you could say he gets banged up a lot, but it's because of the way he plays, man, and because of how important he is to this offense. He does everything. He's so good. He should be okay. Keep an eye on that for week 10 here. Uh, Aaron Jones, able to get back on the field the past couple of weeks here. He's got an AC joint sprain. He could play in week 10 as well. I don't think that's a guy you're looking at really rolling out. Football season is in full swing, and underdog is the best place to get in on all of the action, guys. Playing underdog, it's so, so easy. Just pick whether your favorite players are gonna go higher or lower on all kinds of stats like rushing yards, receptions, touchdowns, so much more. Frankie, we got any good pick-'emps for everybody this week.
SPEAKER_00:We sure do, Johnny. This week on underdog, guys, we're looking at two particular players. The first is gonna be Josh Allen at that of the Dolphins, and you know we're going higher than 0.5 rushing touchdowns. Lock that in. And then the second is that of Bo Nicks, guys, at that of Las Vegas Raiders. We're gonna go higher than that of 219 passing yards, which he has hit in two out of the last three weeks. I love it.

Double digits. Woo-hoo! Let's go. All right, this week on buys, guys, we've got Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and the Tennessee Titans. All right, Frankie, I got a couple of start sick questions here for you. And I'm confused. I always say every week I'm Confucius here about the Bears team, the Bears offense. Yeah. Talk to me about the Bears running backs this week against the New York Giants. What are you doing here, baby?
SPEAKER_00:Guys, I'm biting my freaking uh fist here because I'm so excited because this right here, they're playing the Giants. And here's why the Giants have given up over 130 total yards to running backs and back-to-back weeks. And here, when we see Menungai or even that of DeAndre Swift, both of these guys can get the job done. Now, if DeAndre Swift is out, Menungai is a must-start. I mean 176 yards and it rushing yards alone in his first particular start, almost 200 yards in total. It was a dream scenario for that of Menungai. Now, yes, that was also Cincinnati Bengals, and yes, they are actively the worst defense in the NFL. However, if he's ready to go, you're gonna fire him up. Now, if both are starting or both are playing, excuse me, and DeAndre Swift is back starting. I'm still firing up both because I think that this is gonna be more of a two-headed tandem. Maybe we see Swift again. We talked about it, the Ben Johnson effect. We've seen them both play nice in the sandbox as of two weeks ago, where both performed very well. So I really think this is an opportunity. Again, you're gonna have to level set expectation just a tad. Do I see Manung guy if if Swift's playing going for 100 plus? No. But maybe he could get 60, 70 yards in a TUD. I think that's very viable. And then same thing with Swift. We could see Swift be more of the pass catcher out of the backfield. So for me, guys, I love this two tandem right now. And if one of them are out, the other's a superstar.
SPEAKER_02:It's starting to remind me of a light version of Sonic and Knuckles, man. Totally. You know, we need a new name for these guys. I don't know what it is, but yeah, let's see what happens this week. But it's starting to look like a Sonic and Knuckles type situation here, man. All right, the Chargers wide receivers versus Pittsburgh this week, Frankie. Looks like you like these guys.
SPEAKER_00:Fire them all up. That's what I gotta say. You're firing up every single Charger receiver against that of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Guys, Pittsburgh's um pass defense right now is not very good at all. And yes, they had a decent game. Yes, they had multiple takeaways against that of the Colts. However, the reality is if we're going back to the data, when you have Alec Pierce and Michael Pittman Jr. both having 115 yards receiving, and then you still have Josh Downs also performing and scoring a touchdown. Guys, I love all of them from that of Ladd McConkey to Keenan Allen to even Quentin um Quentin Johnston. Guys, these are the types of plays that I think is going to be huge. And then on top of, which I know we'll talk about here in just a minute, Gadson. You cannot forget the rookie tight end. He's absolutely on fire. And for me, knowing that what's been crazy, man, since Omar and Hampton's been out, they've certainly been more of a pass first offense, which we haven't seen in in quite a long time for Herbert. So looking at Herbert taking the helm, these receivers as a whole, man, fire him up against this Pittsburgh's defense. Justin Herbert, the quarterback two in fantasy football. Oh, what was that, John? Because I remember you taking him in a super flex draft and absolutely got crushed for that, right? Because hey, you shouldn't be taking Justin Herbert that high in a super flex league. He's QB two, guys.
SPEAKER_02:QB two, yeah. Also, I said he is a candidate for MVP, which he still is a candidate for viable. It can happen. He's got to go on a big run here at the end, but that can happen, man. This team is poised for greatness right now. All right, RJ Harvey. Are we starting to see an emergence here, Frankie? Is this somebody? I've got him on a couple benches. I've been waiting for the right time to pull this guy out. It feels like it's getting close. Are we getting close to RJ Harvey time? We're getting close.
SPEAKER_00:We're getting real close, guys. And here's why. Okay, for the last two weeks, he has been, or excuse me, yes, the last two weeks, he's been running back nine and running back six. Okay, and what does that mean? He's also had a receiving touchdown in each of the last three weeks. Guys, his usage is upticking from a pass perspective. When you start looking at, okay, last week alone, he had five targets, five receptions, 51 yards and a touchdown. They're now starting to look at him. And yes, I know that even when they played Dallas, Dallas was a dream defense. He's only got 27% snap share. He had seven rushing attempts and he only had 46 yards. Guys, they're feeding him around the goal line. Like he's getting, you know, he had two rushing touchdowns alone in week eight. So for me, man, yes, I think we're starting to see a little bit more emergence of that of RJ Harvey. And I'm gonna go as far as you could probably start him in deep leagues, 14-16 team leagues, knowing that he's on an incredible hot streak, and they're playing that of the Vegas Raiders.
SPEAKER_02:And they're favored by 10 at home this week as well. Right. That always helps. That's always good for your running backs, just based on the based on the the perceived game script anyway. We know how that doesn't always happen. Right. Detroit and Green Bay last week. Right. Yeah. Yeah, I I I'm absolutely loving it though, man. I I think he is one of those guys who can emerge at the end of the season for you and could be a league winner, depending on how things go here. Their playoff schedule's really not that bad. And this is a running back who's catching passes out of the backfield. You don't have to have an amazing matchup for a guy like that to be able to play well. He's clearly an outlet now and becoming a major outlet for Bo Nicks, which is fantastic. The problem with RJ Harvey right now is the volume. That's exactly it. You can't comfortably and confidently put him in your starting lineup. He has to score a touchdown because he's just not eclipsing 40, 50 yards, you know, all purpose right now. So he's got to get that touchdown, but he's been doing it. So keep monitoring. I'm getting close, Frank. I'm getting close. But if you're dead on injuries, you're hurting that aspect or bye weeks, you can absolutely plug in RJ Harvey, but you do have to hope for a score, no question. All right, Frankie, are we a believer in the running back nine and half PPR for fantasy football? Can you please explain who that might be?
SPEAKER_00:Oh, are you talking about we're dwindling with Rico Dowdle? Absolutely. Rico Rico, Rico, guys, running back nine. He is running back nine and half PPR. And here's what's crazy. When you start digging into the data behind this dude, let's go back to even week six, is when he started taking over. Guys, he had 33.6 fantasy points week six, week seven against the Jets. He had 10 uh fantasy points, another double digit. Yes, he had a comeback to Jesus moment in week eight, but he you gotta remember that's when he was splitting time again with Chuba, right? That's when they were like, eh, Chuba's still our guy. They went back to Uncle Rico against that of the Green Bay Packers, 28.1 fantasy points, ran the ball 25 times, as I mentioned, 130 yards, two touchdowns. And the question is, in my believer, absolutely, guys, when you look at their uh their schedule coming up, you have Nola this week, dream scenario, fire him up. You're you're absolutely wrong with him. You got at Atlanta, which I don't know what's going on with Atlanta. First, they were a top five defense, now they're slipping. I'm not really sure what the heck's going on with Atlanta. You have San Francisco, who's been shown that they're actually bleeding a little bit um on the defensive side. Fred Warner's out, a ton of injuries, and what we're finding is people are running against the San Francisco 49ers, and then you got the Rams and then bye week. Guys, yes, I am absolutely on board with Rico Dowdle.
SPEAKER_02:Jameer Gibbs this week, man. Um, disappointing week last week for sure. Big time. Yeah, how do you feel about him this week? We've got him playing at the commanders.
SPEAKER_00:You know, this week is weird, man, because I just see a massive bounce back. I see Jameer Gibbs, the Lions pissed off against a beaten and battered Washington team, right? We talked about all the injuries they have on the offensive end. I see this getting pretty gross, pretty quick. Like the game getting away from Washington. I don't think they have enough to keep up with the Lions. And then guess what they're going to do? They're going to be handing the ball off. So for me, man, I think this is a big time get right game. We saw what happened with Bijan, right? Ended up having a rough game, then came back and then went nuclear following that. So for me, man, I think this is the get right game. We're going to be good. We're going to be just fine with Gibbs. I'm staying away from all commanders this week.
SPEAKER_02:I just am. I mean, the only one really you feel good about playing is is Jacori Krosky Merritt. And he's he's never come about. You know, he's he has not emerged as a starting running back really in the league. He's not. He's he's he's a jag. He's just a guy. He's not very special. He's not somebody who, you know, we had first game in, we're like, okay, let's go. Let's go. Totally. It's just not there, man. It's not there. And, you know, if you gotta start him because of injuries and bye weeks, go ahead. But if you have other options, pull them out, guys. This is not gonna be a good game for uh Bilbo.
SPEAKER_00:And John, you mentioned it too. What did you say? It was brilliant. It was like he we we actually were more into the hype in the story than it is the actual player himself.
SPEAKER_02:We liked we fell in love with the idea of Jakori Krosky Merritt because it'd be a starting running back with nobody behind him, you know, injuries ahead of him, all of this stuff. No. No, it just hasn't hasn't materialized, man. It just hasn't. And I don't know that it's going to, especially with Jaden Daniels out. Frankie, I here's a question for you. I can't even believe I'm asking this question. You took the guy in the first round, second round. Uh, are you considering benching Ashton Genty at the Broncos this week? Yes.
SPEAKER_00:Okay, okay, but let me let me have this caveat here. In deep leagues, meaning 12, 14, 16, no. In shallow leagues 8-10, yes. Because here's the problem, guys, the Broncos defense is unbelievable. And though, and what we're seeing from the Raiders outside of this past week, Geno Smith has been abysmal, right? And so they've been a one-trick pony type of offense. And now that you know you're going at uh to at Denver, a seven-and-two team that's hotter, I mean, honestly, than pretty much every other team out there except for kind of the NFC West. I just this is a really bad matchup. I mean, John, when you start thinking about okay, like let's actually talk about this Rico Dowdle at New New Orleans or Ashton Genty at the Broncos. Who are you taking?
SPEAKER_02:First of all, that is not a would you rather that we would have done prior to I mean everybody looked at us like, are you guys insane? What is wrong with you? What is wrong with you guys?
SPEAKER_00:But seriously, who would you who would you end up taking? Rico Dowdle running back nine or Ashton Genty running back 13? And look at the matchups.
SPEAKER_02:I can't believe it, but it's Rico Dowdle, man. That's what I'm saying. It is. And when you're playing, you know, Rico Dowdle against New Orleans, God, New Orleans is terrible. I mean, he he could have another 130-yard game, you know. So I don't see the upside for Genty in this one unless he pops off a you know a a wheel route or something for a 50-yard touchdown. That's the only way I think we could be proven wrong here.
SPEAKER_00:What about the other side of the coin? What about Dobbins or Genty this week? They're playing each other.
SPEAKER_02:I I think you gotta start Dobbins. Right, that's what I'm saying. You got to start at least early in the game, it's gonna be a heavy J.K. Dobbins, you know, dose. Uh at least early in the game. You know, you might get RJ Harvey at the end of the game as mop-up duty if they do get really far ahead, but I mean, JK is probably a lock to score a touchdown, right?
SPEAKER_00:I mean, against this defense, it I mean it's it's pretty, it's gotta be up there, man. I mean, it really does. It's gotta be up there. And again, guys, we're talking about in shallow leagues to where your bench depth is crazy, to where you're having to make very difficult start sit questions. We're not if you're in a 12, 14, 16 team league, it's genty, you set it and forget it, and you're just hoping for the best outcome that to occur, versus that of when you have some of these other lighter leagues, you gotta make some of these really tough calls. And a lot of times it's gonna be based on matchups. I mean, you look at I mean, a great example, man, is of this past week with that of uh the Houston Texans and that of the Broncos. It was a defensive game, and these types of defenses are real and it affects the game plan, it affects the game flow. So for me, man, yeah, there's certain instances to where I might be looking elsewhere. So it's kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_02:The only way Gente can get it done is gonna be in the pass game, which actually was decent for him last week. Five catches on five targets for 47 and a touchdown. Uh that saved his week. Otherwise, he was 13 rushes for 42 yards against Jacksonville. Not a great rushing defense here either. So he's gonna have to get those five targets, which is the second most he's had all season. I just don't love those odds, man. I mean, I I think if you're desperate and you need to do it, sure, you can start Ash and Genty. But if you're in a uh uh you know a de uh a shallow league, eight to ten man, I'm looking at other options. Yeah, no question. I think his upside is is definitely um uh destroyed here against the Broncos. Yeah. All right, Colston Loveland, welcome back. We talked about him a second. Yeah, we talked about him a second. You gotta fire this dude up this week. He's definitely a start of the week, especially if Cole Komet can't go, which looking like he won't. Six catches last week, 118 yards, and two big touchdowns for your tight end. Nothing better than your tight end performing like that. Uh, speaking of, Dalton Kincaid, buddy, talk about a little bit.
SPEAKER_00:Continues to command the ball. That's what's crazy to me, man. In two of the last three games, he's had six targets, six receptions, and over a hundred yards. That's two out of the last three. All right, Frankie, let's end the show on a few would you rathers, huh? Let's do it, man.
SPEAKER_01:Would you rather poke a stick up in your eye or eat a bag of shit? Sit up and up and up, throw it under dick, a send of would you rather?
SPEAKER_02:All right, first, would you rather here we have Frankie for week 10? It's a start and stick question here. Would you rather Woody Marks versus Jacksonville or Jakori Krosky Merritt versus Detroit? Woo! What do you got here, buddy?
SPEAKER_00:Guys, so this is obviously a deeper league ask here. If you're in an 8 and 10 man league or team league, you're not worried about this. Most guys aren't even on your bench if you're in an 8 and 10. Yeah, you're not worried about it. But for those of us who are in 14, 16 team leagues, this is the real reel. So for me, man, I am actually leaning Woody Marks. Now, the reason being is because with Jaden Daniels now going down, with Terry McLaurin more than likely going to be out again, Luke McCaffrey also getting heard. Like, I just think that, and also a good another call out, Chris Rodriguez, guys, really outperformed JCM, even though it was in junk time or garbage time, but it still is something to pay attention to. So I could see with both of them being kind of the the split 1A, 1B kind of mode, I'm actually gonna go Woody Marks just because I think that he has better upside from a receiving perspective than JCM does. That's my personal opinion.
SPEAKER_02:I agree a hundred percent. I mean, I said earlier you cannot start JCM this week. Um, and Woody Marks, because of the receiving upside that he has, splitting time. I mean, he's get what he have nine carries last week, something like that. So if he can still get some carries and still get the work out of the passing game, I'm going with Woody Marks this week. I agree with you, brother. All right, let's do another one here, Frankie. Would you rather we've got two tight ends we're looking at here? Two guys that you talked a lot about earlier in this episode, man, that you like both of these guys. Would you rather start this week in week 10, Dalton Kincaid at the Dolphins or Aronde Gadson at Pittsburgh?
SPEAKER_00:What do you got? Whoo, man, this is tough, right? Because we just talked about how much Dalton Kincaid is the number one option. Right now, it seems that way. Even maybe over Cleal Shakur for the Buffalo Bills. Um, and then you look at a Ronde Gadsen, man. I mean, there's a lot of mouths to feed uh for that Chargers offense. But here's the deal. When you look at what's going on, I'm gonna go Gadson when they're playing Pittsburgh, and here's why. Gadson has four straight double-digit weeks. He has 27 targets in the four weeks, 24 receptions, he's 377 yards and two touchdowns. Guys, I'm going with the very, very hot hand of hand of Gadson. However, if you have the opportunity to go between both of them, kudos to you. Because others like myself who lost Tucker Kraft don't have that luxury. So go fuck yourself. But other than that, man, I'm absolutely leaning Gadson.
SPEAKER_02:That's a tough one, man. I mean, really, you could, I don't think you can go wrong this week with either of these two guys, but Gadson has been more consistent. There's no question about it. Yeah, I mean, Dalton Kincaid, big week, no week. Big week, no week. I mean, he's kind of up and down a little bit here, man. Um, so yeah, I'm with you. Last week, Dalton Kincaid at Carolina, one catch for 23 yards. You know, you would not expect that against Carolina, who's terrible against the tight end. Right. So yeah, it's I I think I would probably I think Kincaid might have the upside. Sure. But I I do think Gadson would be a safer play. I think he's like you said, four straight weeks with double digits. I'm all over it, man. I love it. Great work. All right, guys. That is the episode for the week. Thank you so much for joining us, guys. Please don't forget, follow us on social media. That's where all the action is. We do this so we can just clip out social media clips, guys.
