Week 12 Fantasy Football: How To Survive Injuries, Bye Weeks, And Still Steal A Win

Frank Laury & John Hickey Season 5 Episode 30

Send us a text

The clock is loud and Week 12 is unforgiving. We’re staring down three regular-season weeks and a landmine of injuries and byes, so we built a roadmap to help you manufacture wins, not hope for them. From the Rams’ sneaky Super Bowl resume to the Chiefs’ one-track offense, we unpack what’s real, what’s noise, and how it should change your lineup.

We start with teams that move the needle. The Rams keep stacking Ws with a top-six offense and a defense that erases mistakes, while Kansas City leans too hard on Mahomes without a ground game to balance it. Denver’s late-game resilience continues to fuel Troy Franklin’s edge over Courtland Sutton when you need efficiency. The Jaguars remain weirdly effective and, more importantly, offer a playoff-friendly stretch for Travis Etienne and Baysul Tuten if health cooperates. The Eagles win ugly with defense, so we reset expectations for AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Saquon as better matchups near.

Injury fallout is where savvy managers cash in. With J'Marr Chase out, Tee Higgins regains alpha volume, Andrei Iosivas becomes a sharp streamer, and Chase Brown profiles as a trade target with room to run. Josh Jacobs’ week-to-week status turns Emmanuel Wilson into a viable plug-in. Drake London’s absence raises Darnell Mooney and Kyle Pitts, while Bijan Robinson’s receiving usage can quietly carry lineups. We also spotlight Tetairoa McMillan’s breakout and why even San Francisco’s defense can be attacked by assertive WR1 usage.

We close with practical edges: who to start right now, how to handle the Jets’ offense (Breece Hall or bust), why Christian Watson’s touchdown equity matters, and how to prepare for the Week 14 bye trap with the Patriots, Giants, Panthers, and 49ers all sitting. Make your moves a week early. Stash the right TE, hold the right WR3, and grab the boring RB who gets you 12 points when it matters. Subscribe, drop your toughest start/sit in the comments, and share this with a league mate who’s one win from the playoffs—who’s your boldest Week 12 start?

SPEAKER_00:

Alright, guys, we're coming into week 12. Shit is getting real. We have three weeks, count them three weeks left in most fantasy leagues regular season. It's time to start thinking about these weeks coming up here, guys. Let's get you to the playoffs. Let's go. All right, all right, all right. Welcome to the show. This is the Franklin Fantasy Football Podcast. We are your hosts, Frankie and Johnny. Welcome into week 12, Frankie. I can't believe we're in week 12. This season has gone by so goddamn fast.

SPEAKER_03:

It feels like we were just sitting here, John, talking about getting into week one. We're right there in the Labor Day weekend. So damn excited, and you blink, man, and we're week 12? We got 12, 13, 14, and then it's playoffs. This is crazy soft.

SPEAKER_00:

And my team looks completely different than what I drafted. All my teams do. Totally different. Listen, guys, three weeks left of the regular season, and then we're into playoffs, okay? We're gonna recap a little bit of last week. We're gonna get into some news and the injuries and things happening. There are some bad ones, unfortunately, this week, guys. We took a hit this week, guys. Then we're gonna get into week 12. We're gonna look at some matchups, look at some key starts, try to give as much little bit of advice here and there that we can, but guys, we got to start looking. We're gonna talk about it later. Don't just plan for this week coming up. We got two weeks after this, guys, and then playoffs. You have to plan for these. We got serious bye weeks. For whatever reason, Frankie, the NFL loves sticking it to fantasy players. And in week 12 and week 14, please stop with the week 14 buys, guys. It's absolutely still it! Stop it. Anyway, I digress. All right. How'd you do this week? Did you avoid the injury bug? Did you win? Did you well, all right? I don't even hey John. How did I do this? I don't even want to tee up on that one, you son of a bitch. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

Okay, so I won in three out of the four. Yeah, you beat me in two out of three. Damn right I did. And the one league that I'm number one in points for, I have a losing record. It's like crazy. I don't even know how this happens right now, you know. Crawling my way back, fighting my way back, and I will be back. So I'll tell you what, man, it's gonna be it's gonna come down to the wire, especially in two of my leagues. It's gonna come down to the wire. It's all about getting the right guys that are getting hot on your team and taking some boom shots. You gotta take some boom shots.

SPEAKER_00:

It is. I mean, the big family league, Cinco Deflexo League, are four flex, 14 team family league five flexes, yeah. Crazy league. I'm I'm fighting for the number one position. I play my son this week for the number one position. He's a beast, man. He's got Josh Allen and JT. That's all you need to know. I mean, that's tough. That's like a hundred points a week almost, just between the two of those guys. So really tough to beat him. I'm hurting this week. I have Jamar Chase out, which we'll get to. Thank you, Jamar. You son of a bitch. I you know, I just so many injuries and bye weeks this week. There's no chance I'm gonna have to beat him. But this week's what I'm gonna be doing, guys, for these next three weeks, trying to manufacture wins. I'm gonna be starting Wassi Voss for the Bengals. I'm gonna start Cook Cousins. I'm gonna pull the stinkiest, dirtiest garbage, and I'm gonna beat you this week with it. How's that feel? There you go, baby. All right, man, let's get into it. Let's let's talk a little bit about this past week, man. The Rams. Dude, they continue to get it done. I mean, this is is this the sneakiest, best team in the NFL right now, the the Los Angeles Rams? Yes, man.

SPEAKER_03:

Yes, and what's crazy is if this were the Chiefs, I'm gonna play the devil's advocate here. If this were the Chiefs playing as well as what the Rams are on all three phases, we would hear about it every Super Bowl favorite today. Super Bowl, like you know what I mean. And in here, it's almost like the Rams are like, yeah, they're good, they're really good, but you know, and it's just like you you kind of shoo them to the side a bit. No, no, no, no. They need to be front and center right now. Their offense to defense right now, John. Their offense is number six in scoring, they have the number two scoring defense. When you look at what Stafford has done for the year, it's 27 touchdowns, two interceptions, and he didn't even need to play that great last game for them to win. Yeah, it was tight, but I mean, that was a defensive game. And here's what's crazy he only threw last game fifty, uh, he completed 15 of 28, 130 yards and two touchdowns. But the defense held Sam Darnold accountable for everything. He had four interceptions on the year, quite in in by a large sum, was the worst game that he's had. But you can't knock Darnold. You I mean, certainly you can four interceptions, but you got to give credit though to that defense that's playing lights out. So, man, Rams are for real. Get your popcorn. It's gonna be one hell of a playoff for him. I love it.

SPEAKER_00:

All right, let's talk about the Chiefs. We just talked about them, man. I mean, what are they five and five right now? The the Chiefs? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

Is five and six, maybe?

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, is the kingdom falling a little bit? What's going on with the Chiefs here, man? That that was a great game, Broncos Chiefs.

SPEAKER_03:

It was a great game. And here's the problem, man, is that we're not seeing it's it's just we're seeing Patrick Mahomes play well. We are seeing him play well. But the issue is this is what happens truly when your defense is not as good as what they were last year. They're still a good defense, they're not as good as what they were last year, and you have zero run. Zero. You have zero run game. So when you're playing teams like the Broncos, who have a superstar studded defense, when you're playing teams like that of plug in the team, the Colts for this coming week, right? When you're playing these top caliber teams, man, and if you're not able to get the running a game going at all, they know they're just gonna sit back, send four, and let it ride. And meaning the defenses. And so for me, man, it's not so much on a Patrick Mahomes. I'm not dogging him. He's playing lights out, especially from a fantasy perspective. He's top five. But what we're starting to see is a one-trick pony, even as good as what Mahomes is, a one-trick pony style on offense, meaning no rushing or vice versa, no passing is going to get you nowhere in this league.

SPEAKER_00:

All right, talk a little bit about the Broncos, too. I mean, we talked about uh, you know, Bo Nicks, Cortland Sutton, Troy Franklin, some of that. Oh, yeah. Why don't you do your victory lap there, buddy? You took a lot of shit on social media for saying to start Troy Franklin over Cortland Sutton. How'd that work out this week?

SPEAKER_03:

It sure did. It worked out really well, guys. You know why? Because he outperformed Cortland Sutton again. We have now five weeks of recent data to where Troy Franklin is outperforming that of Cortland Sutton. And guys, this is not a shot at Cortland Sutton. I want to be crystal clear. Sutton is still playing decent. Yeah, they're they're double covering him and taking him off. Exactly. Yeah. Franklin is benefiting because of Cortland Sutton. Like, so like all the people that were coming at me, like, yeah, we're not going to trade him. I'm not talking about him being off the Broncos, guys. I'm saying from a fantasy standpoint, you have both on your team. Who are you starting on a matchup on a week-to-week basis? As of right now, I'm shifting gears and going Franklin. But here's what else is interesting, man, is that the Broncos as a whole, pulling ourselves out of it, they have five fourth quarter comebacks and a two-game lead in the division for AFC West. I mean, we're talking about the Chargers, we're talking about the Chiefs, and now the Broncos. The Broncos are the team of the AFC West. And yeah, I know Bo Nicks has been down. He has. He's been down in terms of his fantasy play. But he's still making good decisions as an NFL quarterback. So there's two different things happening. NFL quarterback Bo Nick's looking great. Fantasy Bo Nicks, significantly up and down, as of the last four games, he's been down, right? Three games he's been down. So it's it's pretty crazy in that front, but man, Broncos are for real. Gotta give him, gotta give them their flowers.

SPEAKER_00:

They are for real. And how how good are you feeling? Talk to me about RJ Harvey. Uh, you know, not a great game. This was a tough defense. Not a great game at all. Not a great game. He had uh what, 30 yards rushing and another 20 receiving, uh, eight points, you know, in a in a full PPR. Um RJ Harvey moving forward, though. He's on a bye uh this week. Coming out of the buy, how are you feeling about RJ Harvey and the schedule to come?

SPEAKER_03:

So, John, I'm feeling okay. And I'll say that strictly because, okay, Dobbins is gone for for the foreseeable future. So it truly is RJ Harvey. It looked like they're working in Jaleel McLaughlin a bit more, a little concerning. But when you look at RJ Harvey, guys, and the we and what he has to come, it's Washington. Love Vegas, very interesting. Vegas played him very tight um two weeks ago. So going back to Vegas um is gonna be interesting, or playing Vegas and at Vegas. Uh the Green Bay Packers is gonna be tough. That's not gonna be anything crazy um in terms of an offensive output, presumptively. And then Jacksonville is also kind of tough. And so for me, man, what this tells me is level set expectation on the rush front. But we're hoping to see kind of that receiving aspect really take flight in some of these games. I mean, I'm loving Washington. I think Vegas would they'll they'll do a bounce back, get it right. But Green Bay and Jacksonville, guys, I mean, that's your top. Hey, those are the two playoff games. If you're staring at playoffs, that's what you need to be thinking about. So if you have to start RJ Harvey in that sense, it's not great start. So you're hoping for the receiving front in that perspective.

SPEAKER_00:

It's gotta get it done receiving. It's gotta get it done. In order to have the value you're gonna need, he's gotta get it done receiving. The Eagles, Frankie, we we haven't talked a lot about the Eagles this year, you know, and they're a great team. Um, it's not because they're not a great team, just hasn't been a massive fantasy point output out of this team this year. Talk a little bit about the Eagles, man.

SPEAKER_03:

The Eagles have are like the 2024 Chiefs, right? They're riding their defense, right? Their defense is getting healthy, they look good. I mean, their defensive line looks amazing. They have Jalen Carter on their defensive front that's looking really damn good, guys. I mean, they look solid on the defense front. They're just a boring team to watch. Their offense is kind of stagnant at times. You don't see Hertz airing it out like what he's done pre in previous years. So you're seeing then really AJ Brown at some of his lowest output in the last three years, and Devonta Smith has certainly looked at times to take over the number one spot, but he also looked down, especially last week. And then Saquon Barkley, guys, as good as what he is, he is not living up to even close of what he did last year. And that was something, Johnny, you and I actually talked about. Can Saquon replicate a similar season, knowing the offensive line's coming back, knowing that Hertz is there, Devonta Smith, AJ Brown, beginning of the year, and it actually made us nervous to draft him as a top three pick. You know, we talked about that, and so now, yeah, I mean, you you drafted him, it's fine, but you gotta level set again because it's not it has not been great if you're a Saquon Barkley owner. And here's actually what's interesting, okay? Saquon Barkley ran rushed the ball 26 times against the Detroit Lions, 26 times for 83 yards. Yeah. Okay, you see the 83 yards, you're like, great, but when you put 26 next to it, it's not great. And then you start looking at his fantasy output, John. In four out of the last five weeks, excluding the bye week. In week seven, he had four points against Minnesota. In week six, he went gang bucks gangbusters or get right game against uh the Giants and hit 34 points. And then in week 10, he had 11. And then last week he didn't even crack double digits again with nine. So when you start thinking about okay, well, who do they have coming up? It's the Dallas Cowboys, which should be very favorable. You got the uh Chicago Bears, again, should be pretty favorable. But then you got the Chargers, which you're not really sure what Chargers defense you're gonna get. But then it's Vegas and Washington. If you are sitting on Saquon Barkley and you can get to that week 15, week 16 mark, you're in a much better position than leading up to it. So for me, man, hold tight, stay coarse. It's gonna be tough, though.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I mean, Saquon's the running back 11 right now. Uh four rushing touchdowns from Saquon. Certainly uh, you know, not what last year was. And Jalen Hurts, uh quarterback seven right now, but very just okay numbers, man. I mean, we talked about his rushing touchdowns of 14. Every fucking year, you can lock in 14 touchdowns and on the ground. He's got six. Likely to not get there this year, you know. So yeah, uh, the output's a little less. Uh, you know, that's what we but I love what you said there because if you can make it to those final two games in your Super Bowl, really nice matchups for your Eagles. Really nice. Yeah, absolutely, man. Uh, okay, moving on here. Let's look at uh top of the NFC North, man. Who of course who's the top of the NFC North. Just as we thought, Frankie. This is this is totally what we expected, guys. Dub Bears. Dub Bears. I'm still not getting any closer to what I want to do with the Bears. The only place I am right now with the Bears is to play the running game and to try to stay away from the passing game if I can. But with the buys and everything, you're still rolling DJ Moore out there. You're still rolling Roma Dunsey out there. Uh, how did that coin flip this week work, Frank? How they take turns each week, scoring 20 points. Who got it this week, man?

SPEAKER_03:

Neither. It was actually Cole Komet. And this is exactly what we're talking about. You can say, well, Rome had 40, 40 yards. Okay, cool. He had two catches. Let's call it what it is. Yeah. You can say, all right, you know what I mean? And then DJ Moore, one catch. Cole Komet led the in recei receiving yards and in receptions this past week. And what's fascinating, man, we go back to it. Yes, DeAndre Swift is the guy right now in the backfield. And then certainly you got Menungai looking like the potential guy. Like, think of Menungai kind of as the Ollie Gordon to Devon A-chan, is what Menungai is to that of DeAndre Swift. Okay. And what I mean by that is when they're on the goal line for the Dolphins, it's Oli Gordon. I mean, it's very rarely Devon A-chan. Same vibe with that of the Bears, right? And it makes sense. I mean, you're looking at um their head coach right now, taking place from what the Lions did previously. We talked about that. Sonic and Knuckles, right? They're trying to replicate that here. Ben Johnson. So for me, man, let's pull ourselves out. Let's look at the Bears as a whole. Well, they are five and one in one score games with a plus 16 turnover margin. What that tells me is they are not making mistakes. That's that's what this is. And so when we talk about last week, are they lucky or are they legit? And I got a ton of comments coming back, man, that was like, you're crazy. They're totally, you know, totally legit, and this is why. Or people were like, yeah, they're kind of both. I'm in that camp. They're kind of both. And I mean, Swift's looking good, as I mentioned. You got Caleb Williams that, yeah, it didn't have a good fantasy output, but didn't make any mistakes last week. So let's look ahead. Let's look at the schedule, what's going on, okay? So next week, at home versus Steelers. Kind of tough. Steelers' defense is legit. They're coming back. They haven't been this way. You know what I mean? But they have been as as of late. Then they go at Eagles. I don't want to play that defense right now. I can tell you that much. That defense at front, that's that's pretty nasty. And they're getting healthy in the defensive backfield, which is going to be tough for these receivers. Then you go at Packers, top five defense. At home versus the Browns, top five defense. And then back at or to the or Packers are then coming to your house again, top five defense. So, guys, this is a really tough schedule for the Bears coming up, especially from a fantasy output out standpoint as well.

SPEAKER_00:

It is. I mean, at this point, like we talked about, start the running backs, and you're gonna have to make decisions on the receivers. I cannot, in good conscience, tell you that to start any of the receivers. You're probably gonna have to with buys and injuries. You're gonna have to. But uh, yeah, it's it's definitely a crapshoot. Uh, let's talk about an easy decision here, though. Josh Allen. Oh many tutties did he have this week, man. One, a two, a three, a four, a five, a six.

SPEAKER_03:

I like that. A little bit uh a little bit of spice in here tonight. I like that.

SPEAKER_00:

Six.

SPEAKER_03:

Six.

SPEAKER_00:

What is that? Six touchdowns. That's Superman. Superman. That's exactly what it is, man. Unbelievable.

SPEAKER_03:

I'll never forget sidebar when you had, I'll never forget it. It was one of your birthdays, and you were wearing a Superman shirt, and we and you were having a couple drinks, and you just walked around and kept showing everybody your Superman shirt. And it was like a couple years back, I mean multiple years back, if I'm being honest, but I just will never forget about that. That was so fun. Yeah, but that's how you felt. That's how you felt watching Josh Allen.

SPEAKER_00:

It is. Yeah, I can't wait to uh to lose to him this Thursday. I'm really excited to see him throw, you know, four touchdowns and run for three more and probably score seven touchdowns this week. So that's fantastic. Yeah. All right, let's get to another team that I am kind of linking to the Bears right now. We just talked about are they good? Are they lucky? You know, like we've talked about this. A lot of one score comeback from behind, you know, victories. I'm talking about the Jaguars man here with Liam Cohen, uh former sponsor of our show, Liam Cohen. Uh there you go. But you know, talk, talk a little bit about the Jaguars because it seems to be a very similar team to the Bears, to where they are good. Seems like good coaching, good use of your personnel, but not a lot of fantasy output here, man. What are we doing with this Jags team?

SPEAKER_03:

It's super weird, John. You nailed it. This is a weird team. And I say that because they're six and four winning record. They got their shit beat and lost a 19-point um lead last week against Houston with a banged up Houston team, no CJ Stroud. And then you come back and you beat the Chargers 35 to 6. Embarrass the Chargers. You embarrass the Church.

SPEAKER_00:

And the Chargers were on fire. They've been playing very well. One of the best teams in the NFL, and they just worked them, dude.

SPEAKER_03:

It's super weird. And then to your point, man, you start looking at okay, well, Jacoby Myers must have had a crazy game, or Brian Thomas Jr. must have had a crazy game, knowing that Travis Hunter's out. Well, guys, Brian Thomas Jr. didn't play, and Jacoby Myers had a very, you know, average stat line at best. And so when you start looking at this, it was the running backs, it was a tandem of ETN and Basil Tootin. And for me, man, looking at this further, I mean, you you have to evaluate like where they're heading. So six and four, they play Cardinals, totally potential win. Titans, God, that's almost a lock if I've ever heard of it. Colts, no, I'm gonna go Colts and then Jets, yeah, I'm taking them against the Jets. So sitting at six and four in the next four games, I mean, they could be sitting at nine and five looking to make the playoffs here, but from a fantasy standpoint, you're looking at the Colts, and then you're looking at the Jets, right? Colts is gonna be what gets you into the playoffs, and that Jets is that first playoff game. And so, man, if you can hold on and you have those Jacksonville Jets play or those Jacksonville Jaguar players and you can get into the playoffs, you're setting up, you're setting up really well. If you have Travis Etienne, potentially Basil Tootin, and shit, maybe even a receiver or two pops, but you gotta get there. So it's gonna be a tough road.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, I and and we just talked about this with the secondary running backs. I mean, there these guys are bringing value here. There is some value to Basil Tootin. He got a little banged up. We'll talk about that. He should Basil Tooten, uh, Sean Tucker, another running back in a tandem, Kyle Manungay. I mean, there's a lot of these guys. We have to be looking at these guys because they're getting opportunity. When talent meets opportunity, you know, that's fantasy gold. So as we're looking at bye weeks, as we're looking at injuries, Josh Jacobs going down, J.K. Dobbins being gone. There's some injuries here, guys. So look at these secondary running backs and their matchups. I know they're not sexy, but you know, Sean Tucker, two touchdowns last week. It looked good. So there is value to these guys. So don't be afraid to pick these guys up, get them in your starting lineup with a good matchup, guys. All right, Frank, let's keep moving on here. Trevion Henderson, man. We talked about it. You know, it's nice putting yourself out there for roughly 13,000 people to see, and you being right on something. We called Trevion Henderson a couple of weeks before the breakout. It hit. How are you feeling about him? What are you doing? I know you're an owner. I know you're very excited. I know you beat the shit out of me with him this week with a 30-point goddamn performance out of him. Talk about uh Trevion and how is how is he looking this week, man?

SPEAKER_03:

Guys, he five TDs in the last two weeks. Five TDs in the last two weeks that he's had to start. Okay, and it hasn't been fluke touchdowns. Like, I want to be crystal clear on this. And so when you look at what's going on from this point, Ramondre might be coming back, but they are playing Cincinnati. And so for me, guys, this is probably one of my smash starts of the week. You're still firing up Trevion Henderson, and and I would put this, uh man, I would kind of put this in a very similar camp as to like, you know, what what Henderson has been able to do is what Rico Dowdle was able to do for Carolina. And so maybe there's now the true changing of the guard to where it's just it's just business. It's just business at the end of the day. You got a rook that you took in the second round that's outperforming your starter that you paid two years two years ago. So for me, man, I think that we're gonna see both of them on the field, but I think that you gotta fire up Henderson if you got him. It's a dream matchup as well.

SPEAKER_00:

I before we end the recap from last week, um, did we really have another player spit on another grown man spit on another man, Frankie?

SPEAKER_01:

Like, why is this a thing?

SPEAKER_03:

Why is this happening in the NFL right now? Like everybody's spitting on everybody. Like, usually it's like, you know, you you just get pissed off and smack somebody, or you saw you saw like, you know, Andre Johnson like attacking cornerbacks and shit. Like you're gonna be able to do it.

SPEAKER_00:

I saw I saw Jalen Ramsey punch him in the face, and I was like, oh, they just ejected him. Okay. Well, listen, man, these are grown-ass men, these are veterans of the league. They're not just going to lose their shit and punch a guy. Alpha. So we got to see the video. It's all on re on video. We got it. You spit, sir. You spit, sir. You spit right on his goddamn chest, right on his chin.

SPEAKER_01:

And why lie? Why lie? Like, dude, you're swimming up there.

SPEAKER_00:

It wasn't me.

SPEAKER_03:

Like, no, I didn't spit. Yes, you spit. Everybody saw it. Like, literally, everybody saw it. What do you think he is?

SPEAKER_01:

Shaggy Trump. You know what I mean? Like, wasn't me.

SPEAKER_02:

Wasn't me.

SPEAKER_01:

We all saw it. I watched Good Morning Football this morning.

SPEAKER_02:

It wasn't me. I'm playing against the Steelers. Wasn't me. Wasn't me. Wasn't me. Wasn't me.

SPEAKER_00:

You even spit me in the shower. It wasn't me. All right. So thank you very much, Jamar Chase, for being an asshole and spitting on somebody. Now, guess what? We're all without Jamar Chase in one of the most important times of the fantasy season. Just because of a spit. I love it. That's great. So those of you with T. Higgins, fire his up. Also, Wasivas. Wasivas? Yes. Wasivas. Yosivas. Yosivas, yes. Fire his ass up too, because without those targets going to Chase, he's going to be a great receiver, too. And they're not going to double him at all. So he's going to be open, man. Get him out there. All right, Frankie, let's get to the news, baby.

SPEAKER_02:

Absolutely lost.

SPEAKER_00:

News and notes. All right, man. Let's roll through this news. There's some injuries here, guys. This is going to be rough for this week. All right, let's go to Atlanta, the hotlanta right now. Drake London left the game with a PCL strain. Not devastating. Looked scary with a knee. I know that. He is going to miss this week. Keep an eye on him. It's not devastating, but he could be out a week or two, it's looking like at least. What does this do for Darnell Mooney? Are you moving him way up your board here, Frank? Or where do you think these targets are going to go?

SPEAKER_03:

Definitely. I think it's Darnell Mooney, but I also think it's Kyle Pitts. I think we're going to see Kyle Pitts heavily involved. But again, that's great, Mooney. Pitts, guys, get ready for more Bichon. That's what's going to end up happening. You're going to see a lot more work probably from a receiving perspective with him, which could also mean in bye weeks and things like that and injuries happening. Tyler Algier could be an interesting play if they're going to start utilizing Bijan a bit more out of the backfield. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_00:

Tyler Algier, first of all, he's a standalone value start. There's hopefully he gets the ball on the goal line. Absolutely. We talked about those secondary backs. Tyler Algier is a guy you can plug and play and just not have to worry about your RB2 with bye weeks or with injuries. Absolutely. Speaking of injuries, we're going to have Kirk Cousins out there. That's another reason why I think Bichon, it's going to funnel through him this week, man. It just has to. Kirk Cousins, a little rusty. Uh, you know, he came out before and didn't look too great. But uh Michael Penix Jr., he may miss the rest of the season. He's certainly on IR with an ACL damage. It's not a tear, uh, but I don't think we're going to see him uh uh for at least the fantasy uh uh world here. Yeah, no, no question. All right, let's go to Arizona here. Amari DiMarcado just got to get a little taste of him in that backfield. Damn. High ankle sprain is what he suffered here. He's going to miss some time. Now, the good news is, guys, keep an eye on Trey Benson. If you went out there and grabbed him a couple weeks ago, like we said, like I did, sitting on your IR right now, he may potentially come back this week or next week. So pay attention to that. Coming at the right time, getting some of these guys healthy, uh, as we see a few more of them go down here. Speaking of the big one for me, it's Josh Jacobs. Knee injury. Now, it's not considered super serious, not gonna require surgery, but he is week to week. And when you hear week to week, he's definitely missing this week, probably next week, too. And so we're gonna have to keep an eye on him. But Frankie, the backup running back here, Emmanuel Wilson, is he all systems go? Are we firing this dude up? What do the matchups look like here going forward?

SPEAKER_03:

Absolutely, guys. Yes, yes, yes. He's playing Minnesota. I know that's not a super great matchup, but it's a good enough matchup to where to get some value. I would say it's right on par with the New York Giants matchup. The dead front floor of New York is better than that of the the uh Minnesota Vikings front four from a defensive standpoint. So, and why the reason why I'm saying that is because when Josh Jacobs got hurt, Emmanuel Wilson came in, was 11 rushes, 40 yards, and a touchdown, and also caught a nice pass for nine yards. So absolutely, if you have some of those teams that we named um earlier in the show, like the Broncos, Chargers, Dolphins, right? That's RJ Harvey, that's uh Kamani Vidal, that is Devon Achan and Ollie Gordon and Commanders um, you know, JCM or Chris Rodriguez, totally a viable plug-in there.

SPEAKER_00:

Marvin Harrison Jr. missed last week with appendicitis. His status is definitely questionable this week. Uh, I don't know what's happening with him yet. You're gonna have to watch that maybe a Fridays with Frankie will give us some idea if Marv's gonna play this week. Uh talked about Jamar Chase. He will miss this week, guys. Make other plans. Aaron Rodgers, quarterback for the Steelers, left the game with a wrist injury. May have a slight break in there. Uh, doesn't gun is not going to require surgery. He's going to try to get on the field this week. Frankie, what are we doing? Are you nervous about the rest of the offense? If Mason Rudolph's starting, are we worried about DK?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, a little bit. A little bit. But you know, the funniest thing could happen, John. I don't think it will, but the funniest thing could happen. What if what if they made a call to to the Bengals to maybe get an older quarterback that could come in and be serviceable, knowing that their quarterback is on the line? It's almost like Thanos, right? Getting all of the Infinity Stones. It's the Cleveland Browns. It's, you know, then it's the Bengals. Flacco.

SPEAKER_00:

Flacco is Thanos. We can't let that happen because it'll screw up the whole timeline.

SPEAKER_03:

I mean, everything will change. So I just want to make sure we call that out because we don't shit. All of a sudden DK turns into a fucking nut. You know what I mean? No, I mean, so listen, flack around a fine dial, man. Flack around a fine dial, baby. We've seen crazier shit. All right. You know, like so. For me, man, I I do I am a little bit hesitant with DK. Um, for me, I will want to see Jalen Warren get healthy. Please get back on that field. If not, guys, it's it's gonna be Kenneth Gainwell. They're gonna want to try to establish this rushing attack. So for me, if Mason Rudolph is the starter, level set expectation on on DK, but I could see tight ends pop. You got to pick which one of the three. They have three studs. They got to pick which one of the three, but it's gonna be the rushing attack that helps.

SPEAKER_00:

And that's a good point. Jalen Warren left the game with an ankle injury, smash play last week. Unfortunately, left the game. Uh, he could play this week. It sounded like he could have come back in the game, but they just decided to do mop-up duty with Gainwell. Sure. And uh saw a little bit of Caleb Johnson finally. You know, yeah, I guess they took him out of the doghouse out of necessity. Uh, but he could play, watch the practice this week. Uh, talked about Basil Tootin with an ankle injury, gonna have to watch practice this week. Could be a sneaky start as well. Jackson Dart starting the week still in concussion protocol. Calvin Ridley, fractured fibula. He's gonna miss the rest of the season. I mean, this guy was just worthless this year, unfortunately. He had zero games that he gave you any value, unfortunately. Anything. Anything. Terrible. Terrible. Yeah, it was rough, man. Real, real rough. I'm not even gonna get the bell out. It's not worth it.

SPEAKER_02:

No.

SPEAKER_00:

CJ Stroud, quarterback for the Texans, still in concussion protocol. Uh, bring that up because they play the Bills on Thursday. So not looking good. He's got to get on that practice field here before that uh Thursday game here. Uh Ramondre Stevenson, running back. For the Patriots on track to return this week, so he could return. Like we said, we still love Trevion this week against the Bengals. Brian Thomas Jr. trying to get on the field this week. Gonna have to watch practice, guys. It's been really frustrating. Probably the biggest bust as far as value and where you drafted him in fantasy this year. Yeah. Although he could have a comeback. We talked about totally. I mean, this team's playing well. He's been hurt. If he can actually get healthy and get some separation, I can see him really coming on for you in the playoffs. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_03:

And stop dropping the ball. Just get the confidence back. You know, he's second in drops or something along those lines. So just get the confidence back.

SPEAKER_00:

Agreed, man. Sam Laporta placed on IR, tight end for the Lions with a back injury. That's a rough one. Dalton Kincaid will remain out for the time being. So you can fire up Dawson Knox, although he didn't really do a whole lot for you. But if you're desperate, you've got that start in your back pocket here. A little interesting news for the Jets here, Frankie. They're benching Justin Fields for Tarod Taylor. Okay, we're going to get into why that is and a couple funny stats on that one. To round out here, Shadur Sanders starting for the Browns. Let's go. Are we starting all our Browns now? We got Shadur. Let's go.

SPEAKER_03:

No, that is me being sarcastic for just listeners. I know.

SPEAKER_00:

What are we doing with the Browns speaking of?

SPEAKER_03:

I mean, at the end of the day, they have to establish some sort of passing attack to open up to give way for Quinshawn. So it's Quinshaan right now, and honestly, nobody else. You could take a flyer on Jerry Judy, could certainly take a flyer on Fannon. Um, or yeah, Fannon, and then also on Cedric Tillman. Um, but guys, those are none of those three are great starts.

SPEAKER_00:

They're all flyers. They're all flyers.

SPEAKER_03:

I want to be crystal clear. Somebody's gonna get theirs out of the three. Maybe maybe. I mean, he had what 49 yards passing in total? Four for 16, something like that. Again, I'm not putting this on him completely. It was shit showing.

SPEAKER_00:

It's just a terrible situation. I'm not putting it on him completely.

SPEAKER_03:

I mean, it's not, but I am excited though to see what happens with him having a full week of actual first team reps and then getting used to playing with those guys. But again, it's Quinchan.

SPEAKER_00:

We've seen this before, though. I mean, so just be ready. This could make somebody relevant. One guy may be very relevant for you on your fantasy team. Totally. I don't know where that's gonna be, but we've seen backup quarterbacks come in, and all of a sudden, Cedric Tillman's a top fucking 10 receiver. Exactly. Keep that in mind. This could change something for you coming into your playoffs. So just be aware of that. I'm not expecting it to, but it could. Football season is in full swing. We're getting close to the truth here, guys. Couple weeks of fantasy left. Underdog is the best place to get in on all of the action. Playing underdog, guys, is so easy and so much fun. Just pick whether your favorite players are going to go higher or lower on stats like rushing yards, receptions, touchdowns. Frankie, do we have a pick'em for everybody this week?

SPEAKER_03:

You're darn right we do, Johnny Boy. Listen, guys, we're choosing, we're choosing between two players and we're piggybacking off of the big win from last week. So this week we're looking at Tyler Warren, tight end for the Colts, higher than 49 and a half yards receiving at Kansas City. And we're going in with another tight end, Dalton Schultz Schultzy, higher than 39 receiving yards Thursday night versus the Bills.

SPEAKER_00:

Week 12 buys. We've got Broncos, Chargers, Dolphins, Commanders on by. All right, rough one, guys. Like we said, three weeks left of the regular season of fantasy. We need it. Alright, Frankie, real quick, the Jets, we talked about the Jets with making the quarterback change, Justin Fields being benched. It's funny I have to bring this up because it's just a crazy stat. The Jets have three games with fewer than 55 net passing yards. Three games, fewer than 55 net passing yards. Oh, they must have had some big booms the other weeks. Okay, yeah. 168 yards, 139 yards, and 105 passing yards in those other three games. Brutal, man. So the you know, the quarterback change is not surprising. The Jets, this is real easy, guys. And when it comes to fantasy, it's Brees Hall. It's Brees Hall. It's Breeze Hall. If you're in some crazy, like I'm in a 14 team, five flex league, I have to start Mason Taylor. I don't like it. It's just a fact of a body that's getting some targets. But there's no one else on this team that you can start, man. Not confidently. No. All right. We talked about Henderson versus Cincinnati. Let's go. Is this your start of the week, baby? Is this what you're thinking?

SPEAKER_03:

Let's go. Yep. Bring out the old Zeke, right? Feed me, man. He's hungry. Get it going.

SPEAKER_00:

I love the Ohio State and the New England Patriot uh call out there with Zeke. Yeah. What about the other Patriots, man? I mean, we've got uh Stephon Diggs. He's hey consistent, consistent fantasy value. Talk about it, man.

SPEAKER_03:

I mean, guys, he he really, in my personal opinion, he's changed the die the dynamic of this offense. Yeah, I get Drake Mays playing out of his mind, but he can't play out of his mind without a true number one. And Stefan Diggs, with all the crazy shit happening, right? He has four kids with four different women. You got all the Cardi B stuff happening. Like, there's a lot of shit going on. He still owns it in, right? And he's still scoring. He's scoring in other ways.

SPEAKER_00:

Man's concentration is unbelievable. Okay. I had four kids. They're all adults now, but I had four kids. I couldn't concentrate on that.

SPEAKER_01:

You know, it's great.

SPEAKER_00:

I only had one, I only had one mom. I couldn't even imagine what this guy's gotten going on in his life.

SPEAKER_03:

So to and to have him be a top 20 receiver and have PPR, guys, he's three double-digit weeks in a row. And this should absolutely continue against Cincinnati. I mean, just look at his last two weeks alone. 19 targets, 14 receptions, 151 yards, and a touchdown. Fire up Stefan Diggs very, very confidently.

SPEAKER_00:

Love it, man. Love it. Uh, Tajay Spears, we talked about him. Okay. We talked about him last week. What are you looking at moving forward with Tajay Spears?

SPEAKER_03:

Listen, if you're in a standard league or even a half PPR league level set expectation, I don't I there might be better starts out there. However, if you're in a full PPR league, there's absolutely viable um flex flex value here. Guys, he's had eight receptions in the last two weeks alone. And so for me, man, moving forward, they're absolutely making him a part of this passing attack. Calvin Ridley's gone down for the year, guys. DK's banged up, the other rookie receiver that they have. They're in complete turmoil in Tennessee. So uh Tajay Spears in the past game is a one shining kind of isk light um that I could see continuing.

SPEAKER_00:

Again, another secondary back in a backfield that can help you out, guys. Pay attention to this stuff. Uh all right, we're talking about the Green Bay Packers. All right, there's fantasy value to be had here. Christian Watson. Talk about Christian Watson a little bit here, man.

SPEAKER_03:

Guys, since he returned, okay, since returning, he's had at least four targets in each game. And this past week he had five targets, four receptions, 56 yards, and two tuts. I mean, he is absolutely a startable flex piece for you, and maybe even a receiver too, knowing if you have any of the chargers or any of the Broncos, right, receivers, or you had Jalen Waddle, something like that, certainly could be um a flex piece moving forward. And the other key call out is they haven't really found their guy in the passing attack since Tucker Kraft went down. And now you have Josh Jacobs banged up. So somebody's got to step up and help out of Jordan Love. And I'm telling you, man, Jaden Reed's getting healthy. He's getting there. But right now it's Christian Watson.

SPEAKER_00:

Agreed. Get him out there, guys. I he's almost a guarantee for a touchdown this week, I think. I'm calling my shot, man. All right. Call your shot, baby. T Mac. All right, he's one of one of my champions, okay? Rookie receiver for the Carolina Panthers. We saw a little breakout this week, man. Really good to see that. We talked about his ceiling being capped, and he said, Oh, yeah, fuck you, frankly, fantasy football. Let's go. I'm gonna break my ceiling today. How'd he do, man?

SPEAKER_03:

Excellent. Guys, receiver one on the week. Okay. And so we're looking at can he continue this? Well, this past week, most targeted all year. 12 targets, eight receptions, 130 yards, two tuds. But this was the first week that I actually saw T Mac take over a game. And that's what you need from a rookie. We saw it last year with Brian Thomas Jr., we're seeing it finally this year with that of Tetaroa McMillan. So when we look at what's to come, guys, I mean, he's playing the 49ers this week. Okay. And typically you'd be like, shit. Yeah, Monday night football, they're playing the 49ers. They have a shot. The Panthers have a shot to make the playoffs, right? And so they're gonna be playing their hearts out. And here's what else is crazy from a fantasy perspective, playing the 49ers, the 49ers are giving up some yardage. And what I mean by that is look last week, okay. Uh Marv was out for the Cardinals. Guess who went nuclear? 185 uh receiving yards, 15, 15 receptions for Michael Wilson. You have Greg Dorch putting up 90 plus receiving yards. You look then, okay, previous week, what happened? Devontae Adams, 77 yards, and Puka Nakua, 64 yards. You look, okay, down week, right? You got the Giants. They have nobody. Well, Darius Slayton, 62 yards receiving. The week before that, 69 yards to Xavier Hutchinson. People don't even know who that is. It's a receiver on the Texans. So what I'm saying, I'm saying all of this because this is who Tetaroa is going into play, is the 49ers. Tons of opportunity, lock for DFS as well. But absolutely I'm excited to see what this cat can keep doing.

SPEAKER_00:

I mean, if you're talking Jacoby Brissett and Michael Wilson can torch this secondary, right? Come on, man. Let the alpha eat. Let alpha be an alpha this week. And I think you're gonna see that, man. They're gonna funnel it straight through them, and I love that. And they have to respect the run with Rico Dowdle and Chuba Hubbard. Totally. You know, so you can't it's gonna be nice. Uh yeah, I think Tedaroa McMillan, two weeks in a row for you. I think he's gonna do really, really good things. All right, let's talk a little bit. We talked about the matchup uh with Cincinnati. Let's talk about the Cincinnati offense. No Chase this week. Without Chase, what adjustments are we making here, Frankie? What are you thinking?

SPEAKER_03:

Guys, it's T. Higgins and it's Yossi Voss from the receiver perspective. But also Chase Brown. What we're seeing, the resurgence from Chase Brown is massive and it cannot be overlooked. Guys, we have three weeks now in a row. John, keep me honest here. Looking at him from a half PPR or full PPR perspective, I believe it is at least 17 fantasy points in the last three weeks for that of um a Chase Brown.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, actually, it's 15 in the last four weeks. 15 in the last four. Thank you. So really good weeks.

SPEAKER_03:

So, guys, there's a resurgence. Really good change.

SPEAKER_00:

Guys, we're talking about let's see what change the quarterback change. They can actually throw the ball down the field. That leaves things open for your running back. Holy shit. Thank you, Joe Flacco. Appreciate that. Yeah. Guys, listen, this is a trade for candidate. This is the last week. I know we said Chase Brown was dead and gone. You have to adjust. We've seen the trend now with the change in quarterback. He's getting the ball and he's seeing open lanes. Their schedule coming up here, guys. Tough week this week with New England, no question about it. But you've got at Baltimore, at Buffalo, Baltimore at home, at Miami, Arizona. Guys, these are all teams you can run on. I know this is risky and he's got big name value, and he was drafted in probably the second, third round for you, but you might be able to get Chase Brown. And I'm telling you, his playoff schedule, it's fantastic. Yes. And as long as Flacco's throwing the ball and Higgins and Chase are healthy, it's going to open up lanes for Chase Brown. Go get his ass. Go get him. Go get him. All right, Frankie, great game this week. Rams versus Tampa Bay. We talked, we've talked about Baker's unbelievable play this year already. You just went through the Rams on how sneaky, goddamn good, and a dark horse for the Super Bowl they are. What are we expecting with this game? And who are you starting, man?

SPEAKER_03:

Guys, shootout. You're starting everything. I love those. And I mean that sincerely. I mean that sincerely. Well, I mean, this could get this could get ugly in a way to where the Rams run a run away with it. And so it's a positive game script for Tampa Bay, or it could still be a close game and it's quarterback versus quarterback. You got to remember, Bake thrives when he has a chip on his shoulder. You're telling me that the Rams, where he used to play, he's now looking at that in a must-win scenario for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Right now that they lost and the Panthers won, there's a there's something happening going on in the NFC South, guys. So you gotta get you all of this factors in. And so for me, man, you're firing up every single person you can. Shit, in deep, deep leagues, 14, 16 team. You may even have to look to a Tez Johnson, right? You may have to look a little bit down for uh far down the food chain. Maybe it's Chris Godwin if he ends up playing, coming back and practicing full. Guys, I want a piece of that. I know Kate Otden didn't perform super well last week. You know, he should get back into the fold a bit more. Um, but man, oh man, I'm really, really excited for this game because it is truly a must-win for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

SPEAKER_00:

It's in LA. Rams are favored by six and a half. It's a 49 and a half overunder.

SPEAKER_02:

So far.

SPEAKER_00:

Right. So, you know, we're looking at Tampa Bay scoring here. Now, the one thing I'm concerned about, how do you feel about the Tampa Bay running backs against this front five of the Rams? It's tough, man. I mean, we just talked about Sean Tucker being a sneaky start last week. He was. Rashad White was a little concerned. So, what do we think this week against this tough Rams defense, man? I mean, do you see these guys getting it done?

SPEAKER_03:

John, that is such a good question. And the answer is one of them are gonna be okay. Yeah. And that's a terrible answer. I really think that. I don't think that they're gonna be popping off. I when I'm saying start everybody, I'm thinking good call out, receivers tight end. From a running back standpoint for the Tampa Bay, like we've seen a drastic drop-off from Bucky Irving on a week to week basis. Sure, we just saw Sean Tucker pop, not taking away anything. Incredible game. 140 plus yards, two Tuds. Dude, do you, baby? But the reality is, man, if it is looking like Sean Tucker and or Rashad White, I would be probably starting Sean Tucker over Rashad White just because they might ride with the hot hand at that point. But to your point, it's not a great start because of how dominant that front has been for that of LA.

SPEAKER_00:

If you're starting these running backs, the the best thing you can hope for, I don't see another 140, I don't see any of these guys getting 140 yards rushing against this team.

SPEAKER_03:

Eight to 12 points, maybe.

SPEAKER_00:

What you're hoping for with Sean Tucker is a goal line carry and a touchdown. Because you're probably looking at like 40 yards and a touchdown at that point, because he'll be the goal line guy. And Rashad White, he's got to get five to eight targets out of the backfield to have the value. That is the best case scenario. So I think you can start those guys, but that's what has to happen in order for you to get the value out of them. Yeah, it's tough. All right, Frankie, Rasheed Shahid. Yeah, we wanted to give it a couple weeks here to take a look. Uh Rasheed Shahid, receiver, was with New Orleans, uh, traded two weeks ago here, now on Seattle, up there with JSN, with Sam Darnold. Give us a little uh check-in with Rasheed Shahid. Is this a guy you're feeling good about? Is this a guy we can get in our starting lineup yet?

SPEAKER_03:

Guys, this has been tough. I'll be honest with you. And this is something that is a little bit shocking to me, um, but I think that we still need to see what happens. But since he's been traded last two weeks, he's had six targets, three catches, 30 yards. Yeah. End point. That's it. So it's not great. So Sam Darnold looking for JSN, Cooper Cup certainly more involved. Um, it's just been really tough. So is the get right game this particular week, meaning they're playing the Titans. And right now, this is their biggest opportunity for them. And I think that they'll try to establish Rasheed Shaheed a bit more, but right now, guys, it's really hard to start him. I mean, when you look at the last few weeks alone, even right before the bye week. So after week five, he had 4.8 points and a half PPR, six and a half PPR bye week. Then he had 9.3, 2.8, and 3.9. Right? You didn't hear a lot of double digits in there. And so for me, man, I think that we need to like just, you know, take a breath on Rasheed Shahid, let him get acclimated to this team and then reevaluate. But this should be a better week than what we've seen the last two.

SPEAKER_00:

It should be. But yeah, I I think you're right, man. I mean, if I have Rasheed Shahid, I'm gonna hold and give it a few weeks in the offense. Hopefully, he can be a guy you can bring out in your playoffs where he's then getting five, six targets at least, and you know, some of those, his A dot will be crazy. But you just gotta have if you have to play him this week, you're hoping for that lucky bomb. Totally. I mean, that's really, and this could be the week to do it against the Tennessee Titans. So we could see that big bomb from him. My advice is to hold on to him. He could bring you value in your playoffs. Just gonna have to be a little patient. I know we don't have much time to be patient, man. All right, right. Talk to me about the Eagles, Eagles wide receivers, man. What are we doing? That's it's been a little up and down, been a little bit of a roller coaster with this Eagles receivers, man. But um, what are we doing here? What do you what is your advice this week?

SPEAKER_03:

So look, they're this week they're playing at Dallas. This is a very, very positive matchup, or what should be for the Eagles. And I'm saying should be because Dallas has changed a little bit. Yeah, you bring in Quinnen Williams, right? Huge piece made a big impact right away. Huge impact, man. And then you have Overshawn, their stud linebacker, finally back after tearing his ACL, MCL, PCL last year in week 14, right? And then they trade for Wilson to get him as their um stud uh linebacker, and then Malik Hooker, their stud safety, is back and healthy. So for me, man, this defense it looks a lot different than what we've seen. But with that being said, the Eagles are still the Eagles, they should still go out and perform. And so what was positive from last week is AJ Brown 11 targets. Very positive. What's not positive is that he can't get over 50 yards to save his life outside of three weeks. Yeah. That's real. Three weeks, all year. We're heading into week 13. He's at over 50 yards receiving. That's insanity. And Devontae Smith, yeah, he had a down week. It's mostly been him that's been positive. So for me, man, unfortunately, guys, you're riding with the Eagles receivers. You gotta stick with them. You gotta play through this madness because there's no other alternative that's gonna be able to match that potential for you, especially with bye weeks. So this should be a good matchup. This should be something that the Eagles can get over. However, unfortunately, it just is what it is with the with Hertz not throwing the ball as much down the field.

SPEAKER_00:

Let's talk about an end on the game of the week here, Frankie. The Colts, Indianapolis Colts traveling to the Kansas City Chiefs. This is a great matchup. I mean, this is we're likely to see this in the playoffs and the actual NFL playoffs, and I think it'll be a hell of a game, man. What are we doing with these two teams? We haven't seen the Colts for a week. They've been on a bye and had a rest. We've seen the Chiefs take a loss, and they're in a must-win situation right now against the Colts. What are we looking at? Who are we starting? Who are we feeling good about? Don't say JT. Obviously JT's in there. What are we looking at, man?

SPEAKER_03:

Guys, it I'm Tyler Warren. I mean, it's it's it could be tight end versus tight end showdown with Kelsey and everything else. So that's gonna be something awesome to watch, but also really interesting to watch because you still have Nick Bolton, Drew Tranquil, some of these stud linebackers that are gonna be over top of Tyler Warren. So it's the matchup that I'm super excited to see how this rookie pans out. But for me, man, it's gotta be Daniel Jones, Indiana Jones. And what I the reason I say that is, can he get it done against the biggest and the brightest? Even though I get it, the the Chiefs are down, the Chiefs lost last week against the Broncos, and it's a big time deal. But for me, can Daniel Jones outside of a bye week, knowing that they are investing everything around him, right? They give two first for Sauce Gardner, he's gonna be matched up against Rasheed Rice. Not a great matchup for Rasheed Rice, folks. And then you got Xavier Worthy on the opposite end. You know, it could be decent if uh Ward ends up playing. I know he's going through some mental stuff on the on the defensive end with his daughter and things like that for the Colts, but if he ends up playing, that's gonna be a big cornerback piece to kind of lock down that of Worthy. So for me, man, it's gonna be the two quarterbacks. I know that's so cliche to say, but it really is. Can Patrick Mahomes carry them against a good defense, right? With no rushing attack, can he get it done? Versus can Danny Dimes, who should have the upper hand based on their defense and offensive pieces, and take down you know the Chiefs Kingdom and the Chiefs and really kind of put a nail in the coffin per se with the Chiefs' playoff hopes. So this is gonna be insanely fun to watch.

SPEAKER_00:

Now, as we're looking at fantasy over the next three weeks here, guys, Daniel Jones is a trade candidate for me as well. And I'll tell you why, because people didn't draft Daniel Jones to be their quarterback. So they're likely sitting on Daniel Jones and their starting quarterback and have kind of gone back and forth. People may be looking to move Daniel Jones to get a piece right before the playoffs. So make a move. His schedule going into the playoffs looks really good. He's got a tough week this week and next week. So that's why I think you'll be able to get him uh at a decent price. But he's got Jacksonville, Seattle, San Francisco, Jacksonville. Now, Jacksonville's defense we said was decent, but you can pass on these guys. You can very friendly to the quarterback. So go get yourself some Daniel Jones and enjoy your playoffs that way. Frankie, the Colts receivers. I've said this before, and I think I'm saying it again this week. I prefer Alec Pierce over Michael Pittman Jr. What say you?

SPEAKER_03:

I don't think that's crazy. And here's why Trent McDuffie, Trent McDuffie for the the top cornerback for the Chiefs, is gonna be certainly over top out of Pittman. So this is where Pittman's drawing the coverage and opens up big play opportunities for Pierce. We see it with Troy Franklin and Cortland Sutton. We're seeing it in Indiana as well. So for me, man, I don't think that's crazy. And I think if you need a big, a big boom play on your team, knowing you got to start maybe some some people you don't want to start, you totally go Pierce because he's due every week for a 50-yard bomb, 50-50 shot. And right there's five, six, seven points, depending on how your league's setup.

SPEAKER_00:

What about the the Chiefs running game? Are you trying to stay away from that or is Kareem Hunt somebody you're putting out there?

SPEAKER_03:

I'm not starting anybody. I'm not starting anybody for the Chiefs running back. So I mean Kareem Hunt, he is a he's a jag. He's just a guy. And I think that if you want just a guy, go maybe get somebody with a little bit higher ceiling potential. Like I would rather start hot take. I would rather start Sean Tucker in a tough defensive scheme against that of the the Rams than that of probably Kareem Hunt because we've seen the big boost play, we've seen the big boom capability. They don't have that. Yeah, Kareem Hunt doesn't have that anymore. So yeah, man, I'm I'm not willing to start Kareem Hunt knowing my playoffs potentially could be on the line.

SPEAKER_00:

And you don't know who's getting the goal line. It could be Brashard Smith, it could be Kareem Hunt. Those are not defined roles for these guys.

SPEAKER_03:

It could be Xavier Worthy on an end around coming back. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_00:

Exactly. Exactly. All right, cool. I'm with you there, man. Hey, the last thing we want to tell everybody here, guys: start planning.
